Entertainment galore for British Superbikes at Donington Park
· Live music and more on the infield campsite
· Family entertainment off track all weekend
Visitors to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Donington Park on 16-18 September will be treated to a feast of entertainment both on and off track.
The popular new infield campsite, which opened for the first time at World Superbikes to rave reviews, will be available for campers again, and will once more feature a mix of live music and family games once the on track action has finished.
Live bands will appear at the campsite on both Friday and Saturday evening. The Airtones, Firecracker Vide and Iron Tyger will get the party going, with a mixture of pop, indie and rock covers.
Further music will follow on Saturday evening with VooDoo Moon performing a selection of rock and pop classics, before Iron Tyger make another appearance with a special ‘Monsters of Rock’ tribute.
As well as live music, the campsite will also feature plenty of family fun in the form of space hopper races, a football pitch and a selection of giant board games, guaranteed to keep every camper happy!
As well as the entertainment on offer, the campsite offers incredible views of the racing action, meaning many will not need to stray too far from the vicinity of their tent, caravan or motorhome to see the sensational on track action. A number of food outlets and pay bars are also available throughout the event to keep the festivities in full swing.
Access to the campsite is only for those who have made a campsite booking. The advance campsite is priced at £60 per person, and includes a full weekend ticket for the race event too. Other options, including electric hook-ups and priority viewing are also available.
Away from the campsite, there is a full programme of entertainment around the venue for all visitors including bouncy castles, trampolines, simulators, a climbing wall (Sunday only), face painting, giant Scalextric, remote control cars, wheelie bikes, go karts, helter skelter and an inflatable assault course.
All this adds to a scintillating schedule of races on track, including the first two rounds of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship ‘Showdown’ and 12 other races including contests from the British Supersport Championship, World Sidecars, British Sidecars, KTM British Junior Cup, National Superstock 600 & 1000, and British Motostar.
Tickets for the MCE British Superbike Championship at Donington Park on 16-18 September are available from www.donington-park.co.uk, priced from just £10, with free admission for children aged 13 and under.
