Valentino Rossi Helmet & Jake Dixon GP Winning Bike Auctioned on MotoGP Authentics
Headlines
MotoGP™ Authentics has announced a landmark moment in motorsport memorabilia history, with the launch of its first ever auction, giving fans and collectors the chance to own one-of-a-kind items from MotoGP™ legends.
Held exclusively online, headlining items of the Icons Auction include a test-used helmet from MotoGP™ legend Valentino Rossi and the actual Moto2™ bike ridden to victory by British star Jake Dixon at Silverstone in 2024.
This auction marks the first to land on the memorabilia platform, which is operated by Memento Exclusives under licence of Dorna. The memorabilia specialists are already known as an authority on auctions within sports, as the operators of F1® Authentics and UFC Collectibles, both of which regularly feature auction events and in 2025 have each achieved their strongest performing auction results ever.
With headline lots that include some of the most significant and elusive pieces in recent MotoGP™ history, the auction sets a new benchmark in bringing authentic memorabilia to fans of the sport.
Jake Dixon 2024 Race Used Moto2™ Bike – British GP
Also headlining the auction is this race used Moto2™ bike ridden by British rider Jake Dixon to victory at the 2024 British Grand Prix – making him the first Brit to win at Silverstone in the class since 2015.
This one-of-a-kind machine is a true piece of racing history, having powered Dixon to a dramatic home win that electrified the Silverstone crowd. Built on a Kalex chassis and featuring a 765cc Triumph engine, the bike is not only significant in performance specs, but also symbolic of a turning point in Dixon’s career, with 2024 being his final season with Aspar Team.
The winner of this bike will be able to collect it from the Aspar Factory, in Guadassuar, Valencia, where they will also receive a special VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the facilities.*
Valentino Rossi 2007 Sepang Test Used Helmet
At the heart of the auction is an extraordinarily rare, official test-used helmet from nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi, the most decorated figure in modern motorcycle racing.
Used during the 2007 Sepang pre-season test, this helmet makes a powerful statement. Featuring a symbolic sword design inspired by Excalibur, it marked Rossi’s fierce declaration to reclaim his ‘throne’ following a challenging 2006 season. With only a handful of Rossi helmets in private hands, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans and collectors to secure a true artefact from Il Dottore’s legendary career.
This debut auction, titled the Icons Auction, pays tribute to the legendary pieces it will feature, signalling a major shift in accessibility to MotoGP™ history and bringing fans closer than ever before to the sport they love.
The auction will also feature items from other iconic names including Marc Márquez, Casey Stoney and Pedro Acosta, to name but a few. Collectors are invited to view these auction lots and more via the MotoGP™ Authentics website now, where they can also subscribe and register their interest to bid.
The MotoGP Authentics Icons Auction will be live from 12th August and will run until 26th August exclusively at www.motogpauthentics.com.
* Please note travel and accommodation costs are not included and the winning bidder must make their own arrangements to attend.
