Drift Innovation (driftinnovation.com), launch an updated version of their acclaimed Ghost 4K, aimed at providing greater connectivity to Huawei devices.
Ghost 4k+ retains the sleek form factor and rotating lens of its predecessor, the Ghost 4K, but boasts an upgraded Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip and Huawei integration to help it seamlessly connect to nearby Huawei devices. When a Ghost 4K+ is in range of a compatible Huawei device, a pop-up appears allowing the user the option to connect. Confirm, and the Ghost 4K+ is ready to be used as an extension of the mobile phone. It’s now possible to toggle between the devices’ front and rear cameras, as well as the Ghost 4K+ action camera, enabling use with your favourite video and photo applications.
This partnership between Drift and Huawei offers the potential to enrich video calls and live streams with additional camera angles. Live Streaming platforms that have typically been associated with mobile phone-shot footage can now enjoy limitless variations, with the user able to switch between cameras with a single tap. The flexibility of the unique Drift form factor opens up a world of use cases – Ghost 4K+ can be mounted just about anywhere, from helmets or handlebars to glass.
An immensely capable camera in its own right, Ghost 4K+ features crystal clear 4K video, Electronic Image Stabilisation, and a powerful 2000mAh battery. A modular side dock allows for the addition of a touch-screen LCD module, or a long-life battery module to boost battery life further. In combination with a Huawei device, the possibilities are endless.
Huawei also provide the tools for developers to explore the potential of integrating and action camera with a mobile device, the only limits being imagination and creativity. Huawei’s DV Kit(Device Virtualization Kit) enables the device to utilize Ghost4K+ as a virtualized device, while Huawei’s HiHealth Kit allows the opportunity for data from health and wellness wearables to be integrated into video.
The launch of the Ghost 4K+ coincides with a brand new version of the Drift Life app for Huawei’s AppGallery, including a new and improved live streaming feature. The free to use platform now features a redesigned user interface, reducing the process of setting up a live stream to just a few taps.
