At EICMA Milan, Dainese exclusively presents the revolutionary Smart Jacket, the lightweight and versatile airbag vest with D-air® technology, suitable for any use and any rider. Visitors will also be able to touch and try on the brand-new K6, the AGV road helmet for all uses, and check out the new Pista GP RR, the latest evolution of the AGV top-of-line racing helmet, the same worn by world championship riders, which has received strict FIM homologation.

Smart Jacket is the new airbag vest by Dainese that offers the protection of the most advanced D-air® technology in a versatile garment, suitable for any rider and for all types of road usage. Available in both a men’s and women’s version, it can be worn over or under any jacket or outfit with no need for any kind of connection to the motorbike.

The ECU analyses the data 1000 times per second and identifies any potentially dangerous situations, now also if there is an impact when stationary, in order to activate the system only when necessary. Thanks to the patented structure with internal microfilaments, the airbag – the Shield – inflates in a homogeneous and controlled way across the entire surface, creating a real shield that envelops the body and guarantees the necessary protection.

The Shield covers the chest and back, ensuring the same degree of protection as seven Level 1 back protectors, despite not having any form of hardshell protective gear inside. The result is an extremely lightweight and practical garment that, once off the motorbike, can be easily folded and kept in a side pannier, top box or rucksack.
