The GIVI family of bags for “fast bikes” is expanding with its thermoformed model range. Within a series of noteworthy new features, the ST606 sports backpack steals the show, ultra stable at full capacity, even at high speeds. The preview will be at EICMA.
With the SPORT-T 2020 line, GIVI has focused on an almost total overhaul… with the choice to have all the new features on a pre-formed structure. A structure which brings soft bags closer to hard cases. And, given their target rider, features an aerodynamic design.
THE NEW RANGE INCLUDES:
ST609 – Pair of expandable side bags (25+25 ltr.). Easylock quick coupling/release system,
ST607B – Expandable saddle bag (22-26 ltr.). Universal fitting with 4 straps.
ST608B – 3-ltr leg bag with three inner pockets, one of which is a smartphone holder.
ST606 – 22-ltr rucksack with shell.
Combined with selected “UV Tested” materials (high-tenacity 1200D/PVC polyester, PU inserts, thermoformed EVA coated with anti-scratch PU), these bags are big on character, especially the very attractive ST606 rucksack, the worthy leader of the SPORT-T family, which we are about to look at more closely.
It starts with the thermoformed shell, creating an aesthetic link between this “wearable” product and the other “attachable” SPORT-T products.
The ST606 has an internal capacity of 22 litres and an aerodynamic line aimed at sports or maxi-naked model users. A stable and comfortable ride, even at high speed, will be ensured by the sturdy, padded, quick-release shoulder straps in breathable material, with additional chest and waist straps.
GIVI also focused on detail with the spatial format. The ST606 has 2 side pockets with zip closures (and reflective covers that function as deflectors to avoid sudden openings), one of which can hold a one-litre bottle. There is also a glasses holder in the carrying handle area. Inside, we find 3 pockets, one with a case for tablets/laptops up to 13”, one elastic, and another interior compartment with zip closure inside the preformed lid.
Our standard description is completed with a note on the side helmet-holder strap (to be used while out of the saddle), the integrated rain cover and the non-slip PU base.
Rucksacks aside, the combination of production quality, design and practicality, all the new products in the SPORT-T 2020 family are sure to earn the attention of all sports driving enthusiasts.
