Morello Racing sign Danny Buchan for 2017 Superstock 1000 Title Tilt 1Morello Racing has today, Saturday 19th November, announced that Danny Buchan will lead the team’s assault on the 2017 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.

The Norwich based team – backed by Kawasaki UK – has pulled off a major coup by securing the signature of the 2014 Superstock 1000 Champion who will be returning to the series after competing in the 2016 MCE British Superbike Championship.

The 23-year-old Essex rider will be hoping a return to Kawasaki in the BSB support series will see him return to winning ways after he picked up eight wins and three second places on his way to securing the Superstock 1000 title in 2014.

Delighted to sign with Morello Racing, Danny Buchan said: “A return to the Superstock Championship with Morrello Racing, along with support from Kawasaki UK, is an excellent opportunity to be a genuine front runner in a series packed with talented riders.

“I have learnt so much from my time in BSB and I’m returning to the Superstock 1000 Championship an undoubted better rider, so my aim is to better my tally of wins in 2014 on my way to winning the Superstock 1000 Championship.”

Announcing the signing at Motorcycle Live 2016, Steve Buckenham, Team Owner said: “We are delighted to secure the services of Danny, who is an extremely talented rider and a previous winner of the Superstock 1000 Championship on Kawasaki machinery.

“Danny’s signature is a genuine statement of intent from the team as we chase for championship success in 2017. We we will be pulling out all the stops during our extensive winter testing programme to ensure we have a package that will put Danny at the front and winning races.”
