Old skool gets carbon coolOld-skool style meets up-to-the-minute tech and materials in the new LS2 Bob Carbon; a classic open-face helmet designed with the more discerning rider in mind.

Conceived for those who want a traditional open face helmet, but don’t want to compromise on the way it feels, fits and performs, the Bob Carbon is a real luxury lid.

The high spec starts with the full-carbon shell, made in-house by LS2. It comes in three outer sizes, for the smallest possible profile in each size range – a key factor with an open face – and is ultra lightweight at just 850 grams.

For riders looking for an off-road vibe, a classic 1970s motocross-style peak comes with the Bob – easily added and removed via the classic three-popper fixings.

The aperture is cut to accommodate most styles of goggles, and there’s a retaining strap at the back, which features magnetic closure for super quick and easy use.

A drop down visor also features – easily operated whilst wearing riding gloves. It has both short and long-step positions to choose from.

Should the rider prefer to ride without goggles, a clear version of the visor is available as an optional extra.

Inside is a breathable, hypoallergenic liner for comfort and freshness. Combined with laser-cut foam inserts, and the shell’s natural oval shape, it gives a luxurious and reassuringly snug fit and feel.

The reinforced chin strap has a traditional D-ring fastener and is held neatly in place by a handy magnetic holder.

The LS2 Bob Carbon is available in sizes XS-XXL (53-64 cm) and retails at £199.99. Naturally, it’s fully ECE 22.05 certified for road use.
