Peugeot’s Kisbee 50 is Europe’s best-selling scooter of any capacity for the third year running.
Once again, the Kisbee 50 out-sold it’s nearest rivals in the charts – Yamaha’s XP500 TMAX and Honda’s SH150AD – by 22% and 38% respectively.
It was also the 3rd best-selling Powered Two Wheeler in Europe overall, a repeat of its performance in 2014 and 2013. BMW’s R1200GS and the Yamaha MT-07 claimed the top two spots.
Figures released by the UK Motorcycle Industry Association show that more ‘commuter sized’ motorcycles and scooters were sold during 2015 than for any other year since comparative records began in 1983. Peugeot Scooters saw UK sales grow by 38% in 2015**, out-performing the booming market for two-wheeled commuter transport.
Two new colours have been announced for the Kisbee in 2016; Satin Flash Silver and Flat Six Red for the Sportline specification.
Powered by a 4-stroke motor with a 3 chamber exhaust, the Kisbee is capable of 108 mpg. Chunky 12″ wheels with sports profile tyres, telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers give it a sure-footed feel on the road and, weighing just 95kg, it’s easy to squeeze into the tightest parking spaces. Beneath the seat is a storage compartment big enough to hold a full-face helmet and the Kisbee offers plenty of legroom thanks to its flat floor pan.
Competitively priced for a premium specification scooter from a major European brand, the Satin Flash Silver Kisbee sells for just £1299***. The Sportline version includes a 170mm Shuricane front disc brake, black fork legs, engine cover and alloy rims, plus alloy bar ends and a special edition seat – selling for £1399***. Both models are covered by a 24-month warranty.
