For a truly incredible and historic 14th time in 2024, David Alonso (CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team) emerged victorious in another brilliant Moto3™ battle.
0.147s split the Colombian and second place Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) at the chequered flag as the latter pockets the 2024 silver medal, as Angel Piqueras (Leopard Racing) earned a final race of the year podium after teammate Adrian Fernandez was handed a post-race three-second penalty.
Once the lights went out, Alonso took the holeshot after a phenomenal launch from pole position. The #80 seized an advantage over Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets – MSI) and Holgado as the final Grand Prix of the season got underway. David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports) was the rider on the move in the opening laps, with the #64 charging to fourth after qualifying P12 on the grid. Muñoz soon joined the podium battle, overtaking Ortola before pipping Alonso to enter second place on Lap 3.
It was a slipstream city at the front, with positions changing hands at every opportunity, to the delight of the Spanish crowd. Fernandez emerged as the contender for the lead, beginning to engage in a fierce duel with Holgado. Meanwhile, Alonso sat comfortably in eighth position, waiting for his opportunity to return to the podium fight.
There was action at every turn as Alonso worked hard to slowly carve his way through the field. Taking advantage of Ortola’s and Muñoz’s battle, the #80 was able to surge into second position. The Colombian was chasing a remarkable 14th win of the season, with tension mounting as he retook the lead on Lap 14.
The gloves were off in the closing laps, with elbows out throughout the top 10 as the season finale prepared to go down to the wire. Alonso had the lead on the final lap, securing a three-tenth margin after the front group continued to battle behind. Holgado was in pursuit, looking to find an opportunity on the newly crowned World Champion.
At the line, Alonso powered out of the final corner to win by a mere 0.147s ahead of Holgado. The #96 gave his all on the final all of the final lap, unable to catch Alonso as Holgado took another podium to secure second position in the World Championship. Meanwhile, Piqueras took the final spot on the podium after a shortcut from Fernandez on the final lap.
Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) turned around his weekend, fighting from P17 on the grid to finish in P4, beating Ryusei Yamanaka (MT Helmets – MSI) who rounded out the top five in Barcelona. The #6 was promoted ahead of Muñoz, who was demoted one position due to irresponsible riding on the final lap. Muñoz ended the Grand Prix ahead of Honda Team Asia’s Taiyo Furusato and Jacob Roulstone (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), the Australian rookie taking P8.
Further back, Ortola and Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) rounded out the top 10 positions as the duo settled for P4 and P3 in the Championship respectively. Fernandez was dropped down to 11th after his three-second penalty, finishing ahead of Joel Kelso (BOE Motorsports) and Tatsuki Suzuki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP). Meanwhile, Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team’s David Almansa and Matteo Bertelle took the final point-scoring positions in the curtain closer.
And with that, the 2024 Moto3™ World Championship reaches a thrilling conclusion after an incredible season. The winter break now appears before we get to do it all over again in 2025. Bring it on.

The Prima Pramac star clinches his first premier class title at #TheRematch decider.
Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) is the 2024 MotoGP™ World Champion! Having taken a 24-point lead into the title-deciding weekend at the Motul Solidarity GP of Barcelona, the Spaniard held his nerve to perfection to win his first premier class title by 10 points and become the first Independent Team rider to win the title in the MotoGP™ era.
Martin made his debut on the world stage in 2015 with Mapfre Mahindra, moving up after taking the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. He scored his first point in the season opener in Qatar and became a regular top 15 contender, ending his rookie year in 17th overall. The following season, the rider from Madrid took another step forward – including his first podium in the wet at Brno – but he also missed a couple of races through injury, therefore ending the season just one place further forward in 16th overall.
2017 saw Martin cement his place at the front as he moved to Del Conca Gresini Moto3, beginning the year on the podium in third at Qatar. He took nine pole positions and eight further podiums that season – but it was a long wait for one to be a maiden win. The Spaniard wrapped that up in the season finale at Valencia; his first trip to the top step setting him up perfectly for an assault on the crown the following year and seeing him take fourth overall in the standings.
2018 began perfectly as Martin won in Qatar, and it was a year that saw the Spanish star really make a name for himself on the Grand Prix scene. Seven wins were secured while he also set a new Moto3™ pole position record (11), but it was the Moto3™ World Championship crown that counted most. For the first time, Martin was a World Champion, as a move to Moto2™ with Red Bull KTM Ajo beckoned for 2019.
A difficult year for rider and machine followed in his rookie intermediate class season, and it wasn’t until the Japanese GP that we saw Martin return to the podium. That P3 was backed up by a P2 in Australia, as a good end-of-season run set up 2020 nicely for one of Grand Prix racing’s brightest prospects.
Three podiums in the first six races in 2020 included a debut Moto2™ win in Austria. But when sitting just eight points back from title leader Luca Marini, Martin then had to miss the San Marino and Emilia-Romagna GPs after testing positive for Covid-19, and two more 0s cost him dearly in his quest to become Moto2™ World Champion.
2021 was when the Prima Pramac Racing and Jorge Martin story began as the combination teamed up in the premier class. And the first chapter was one to remember! Martin stuck it on pole in just his second outing and went on to claim P3 in the Doha GP to immediately raise eyebrows in MotoGP™. However, a big crash at the next race in Portimao left Martin with eight fractures and forced him to miss four races. Nevertheless, Martin banished those demons to win the Styrian GP from pole position, and backed that maiden victory up in style the following weekend with a P3 from pole.
Capping off a rollercoaster rookie MotoGP™ season with a second place finish in Valencia, 2022 promised a lot – but delivered a little less at times. It was a tougher start with Martin unable to unleash his full potential, but his sophomore season ended with four podiums – none of them wins.
After that more difficult-than-expected 2022, Martin came into 2023 hunting a much more consistent campaign. The year didn’t get off to the cleanest of starts though as two Sunday DNFs came in the first three races, before a P4 on home soil in Jerez got the ball rolling. A debut Tissot Sprint win arrived in France, and that was backed up with a double podium in Italy at Mugello. And from there, Martin’s title challenge against Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) was born. Martin went on to become the Sprint King in 2023 as the #89 won seven of the last nine Saturday outings, and having won three Sunday races in the second half of the season, Martin landed in Valencia 21 points adrift of Pecco.
After winning the Sprint, Martin cut the gap – but Sunday saw the home hero suffer a DNF. Martin agonisingly missed out on the MotoGP™ title last season, but that only added fuel to the fire in his pursuit of going one better in 2024.
A Sprint win and Sunday P3 in Qatar was a solid start to the year, and that was followed up by a first 25-point haul in Portugal. Leaving Round 2, Martin led the Championship and from there, he’s only lost it to Bagnaia once. The key to Martin’s success in 2024? Consistency. Between Round 5 and 18, Martin only missed out on a Sunday podium twice – once was in Germany when he crashed out of the lead with two laps to go, and once at the San Marino GP when a tyre switch gamble didn’t pay off.
After six P2 finishes in that stretch, a return to winning ways on Sunday in Indonesia – following a Sprint crash – saw Martin start to become the favourite for the title. A P2 in Japan, a Sprint win and P2 in Australia and a pair of P2s in Thailand saw Martin land in Malaysia with a 17-point lead over Pecco.
In the Sprint, Martin was superb to claim a crucial 12 points as Pecco, dramatically, crashed out of P2. That meant Martin had a 29-point lead coming into Sunday’s 20-lap race in Sepang and with a P2 finish, Martin made sure he held a healthy 24-point advantage over Pecco ahead of #TheRematch decider.
In Barcelona, Martin qualified fourth and finished P3 in the Tissot Sprint to head into Sunday’s race with a simple objective – finish P9 or better. And that’s exactly what he did. Despite Bagnaia’s perfect weekend, Martin claimed a safe P3 in front of his home fans to become the 2024 World Champion – a year on from missing out on the crown in Valencia. A phenomenal job from the #89 as he became a MotoGP™ World Champion, and two-time World Champion too, before he leaves Ducati for Aprilia in 2025.
Congratulations to Jorge and Prima Pramac Racing on a stunning campaign!

#MART1NATOR: quotes from the Champion
“Thanks to everybody, it is a nice feeling but I am in shock I don’t know what to say, the emotions are high and I cried a lot, so maybe now I am more relaxed. I spoke a lot with the media, it has been an emotional hour after the big moment, I just want to celebrate, I just want to be with my team, my family and my friends. It has been emotional; it has been a long journey as my career has not been easy. For sure, I have had good opportunities in front of me, but I think I have built off them. I worked hard, and I have made a lot of sacrifices at home every day to try and become a better man. Last season, I had the opportunity, but I think I was not prepared to win but this year I felt it. I felt it was my year, so thanks to Pramac, to Ducati for giving me the opportunity to have an amazing bike these four years and to give me the opportunity to fight until the end with Pecco, who was amazing.”
How were you feeling ahead of the Grand Prix with a 19-point advantage and during the first few laps?
“It was difficult, the conditions were difficult, so the tyre choice was not easy. There were some hard tyres, some soft tyres and some medium tyres, so I was looking at my opponents, and I was like, ‘Wow, they are all good’. I mean, I thought it was really easy for me to finish 10th if they had a good race. I was scared, but I thought the medium was the most conservative tyre choice. It wasn’t easy, and I don’t think it was the correct one, maybe the soft was a little bit more competitive. I had trust in myself, and I had a lot of confidence in myself that even with the worst tyre, I could be inside the top nine, so I was super focused on the race.”
Talk us through the explosion of emotion when you knew you were the World Champion?
“Seven laps to go was the difficult point, I was so focused today, and I think even if it was a normal race in May, I would have finished third because Marc and Pecco were stronger. I did my best. For sure, the last seven laps were difficult, I started to remember a lot of moments throughout my career, I remember my dad helping me after work and all of the weekend, my mum cooking when I was in pocket bikes and my grandfather, who is not here and was watching me from the sky. I was remembering a lot of moments, but then I had to refocus and remain in the moment but then once I crossed the finish line, I started to cry. Already on the last lap, I felt that I was starting to cry; it was so emotional, and then I became happy and started to cry again once I remembered my family. I am so happy that almost all my family is here and all my close friends are here, so tonight will be good.”
How special will it be to put your name at the top of the Tower of Champions?
“Last season, I remember with Pecco when I was doing the filming, I was looking at the trophy, and I wasn’t prepared. I was scared, but this year, I didn’t even look at the trophy while we were filming, but I thought I would put my name in its place. Today, I enjoyed the race. I was touching my elbow and shoulder on the ground, like a training session. I am so happy that I could enjoy the moment as I remember in 2018 when I won the Moto3™ World Championship I was already thinking that I wanted another one in Moto2™, so I didn’t enjoy it. Now I can enjoy the moment, and whatever comes in the future will be a gift, I will try and be my best version and try and win with Aprilia, but right now, I will enjoy this moment.”

TAS Racing is delighted to reveal a new chapter in their racing history, forming an association with Ducati for the 2025 season.
Rory Skinner will remain with the team for a second season in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship riding the Panigale V4 R, with 18-year-old Italian Edoardo Colombi representing the team in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship aboard the Panigale V2.
Both Ducatis have enjoyed tangible success in recent times on the national and global stage in various championships, so it goes without saying, the TAS Racing team is delighted to join the Ducati family with Cheshire Mouldings once again supporting the effort as title sponsor. Milwaukee will also assist the effort as a valued partner.
Rory Skinner had a difficult season with injury in 2024, but cemented his pedigree with a British Superbike victory at Knockhill. Aboard the V4 Ducati with its proven pedigree in BSB, the Scottish ace is confident of being in the podium mix at all circuits next season.
RORY SKINNER
#11 CHESHIRE MOULDINGS DUCATI
“First of all I am delighted to remain in the TAS Racing set up for 2025. We enjoyed a win this season in BSB and with a change of machinery to Ducati for 2025 – a bike that has been a major success in BSB with various riders and team – I firmly believe we can be at the sharp end all year. It’s an honour to be representing such a prestigious brand and I’m sure the bike will have a stand out appearance in Cheshire Mouldings Ducati livery, prepared by TAS Racing.”
The Supersport Championship was the foundation where TAS Racing built its British Championship tenure, and having previously won the series on two occasions, there is an air of excitement to be welcoming the prodigious talent that is, Edoardo Colombi, for the 2025 season.
During his first season in British Championship, Edoardo finished second in the SportBike class, losing out on the title by just 1.5 points. An impressive debut on the British tracks to say the least, and it has been this pedigree, his level of commitment and professionalism that caught the eye of TAS Racing.
EDOARDO COLOMBI
#13 CHESHIRE MOULDINGS DUCATI
“I have very much enjoyed my first season on British tracks and to come so close to winning a title was enjoyable and will set me up well for the British Supersport Championship. To come to a team like TAS Racing with so much history is exciting for me and to be riding the Ducati V2, which I know is a great bike, is also something to look forward to very much. The team has already made me very welcome and I cannot wait to get started on the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati by TAS Racing.”
PHILIP NEILL
TEAM PRINCIPAL
“We are extremely happy to announce this new relationship with Ducati. On a personal level I have always admired Ducati and wondered if we might ever have the opportunity to race with this iconic brand.
We are really pleased to continue with Rory for a second year, and also to welcome Edoardo to TAS Racing. I believe these two young riders are a perfect combination and together with the proven capabilities of both the Ducati V4 R and V2 machinery, we are excited for the future.
None of this would be possible without the support of our commercial partners, so to extend our title partnership with Cheshire Mouldings and continued support from Milwaukee really is a dream scenario for us.”
Two riders. 19 points. One race. And one crown… after super Saturday, it all comes down to this.
It was pretty much a must-win Tissot Sprint for Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona, so win it he did. But it was also nearing a must-not-bin Sprint for Championship leader Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), and he passed his test too. After the elbows came out early on, Bagnaia escaped in the lead and kept it cool as Martin threw down with Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) behind – with the ‘Beast’ winning that duel with a final lap lunge to force Martin to settle for third. It’s now 19 points between Martin and Bagnaia as #TheRematch rolls into the final day of the season.
Revs up, lights out – it was a tight, tight run into the first corner, with it looking like Bagnaia was set for the holeshot before Martin made up the metres to move alongside – and then Bastianini sailed past both. But Bagnaia attacked back in the melee, grabbing the lead again round Turn 3.
There was drama at the same corner on Lap 1 as Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) and Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) then tangled, however. Both headed wide and both stayed upright, but Marquez was able to collect it – and Acosta’s front fairing got ripped off, leading the rookie to limp back to pitlane, out of the action.
Bagnaia led Bastianini led Martin, but by the end of Lap 2 the reigning Champion was starting to build a small gap as the #89 lined up Bastianini. He got the job done into Turn 1, close but perfectly-judged, and stayed ahead until the next time round – when Bastianini did an even more brutal carbon copy to take back second.
The two were then locked together for another lap before Martin hit back, finding a few more millimeters to really push both to the edge. With that, the momentum behind for Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) and Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP) got them involved, but Martin was just clear and Bastianini shouldered his way back through to third. As you were.
At the front, Bagnaia pounded on. Martin was hovering just over a second away but the gap was going up tenth by tenth, with those on his tail not being left behind either. Bastianini had faded briefly but got back within half a second, and both Alex Marquez and Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) were now on the scene as Morbidelli started to get dropped.
By the penultimate lap it was Bagnaia holding a small gap ahead of that quartet. But then Alex Marquez was wide at Turn 10 and Espargaro got through, dividing the four into a duel for fourth and a decisive one ahead: the points leader vs his title rival’s teammate for second.
Down the main straight for the final time, Bastianini wasn’t quite close enough. But he was able to close in and by Turn 5, the red machine darted out from behind the Championship leader and went for it. Breath held, the move was aggressive but clean enough, and crucially it got the job done. Now Martin had to decide whether to try and reply or take the third place he’d got pretty secure. He looked tempted but Bastianini offered no way back through.
Bagnaia crossed the line just less than a second clear to ensure the Championship fight rolls on to the final showdown of the season, staying near perfect under pressure. Bastianini got his elbows out to stake a further claim on that third overall, as well as proving his own point.
Martin put in the exact performance needed to ensure he remains in a comfortable position heading into the Grand Prix – now 19 points clear. Can he wrap it up on Sunday?
The duel behind saw Espargaro hold onto fourth, with Alex Marquez completing the top five. Morbidelli, meanwhile, had to fend off Marc Marquez after the #93’s earlier tangle with Acosta. Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) were incredibly close there too, with Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) just losing out in the tussle and denied the final Sprint point, taking tenth.
And so the tension rolls on to Sunday, the gap goes back down to 19 points, and Barcelona holds its breath. Are you ready for one final show? Join us tomorrow to see who takes the crown… lights out is 14:00 CET.

A 1:42.003 handed Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) a final race of the season pole position at the Solidarity GP of Barcelona, and by a decent margin too.
A tenth and a half was the Spaniard’s advantage over second place Manuel Gonzalez (Gresini Moto2™), as a late flyer from Zonta van den Goorbergh (RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP) saw the Dutch star grab a front-row start in third.
Jake Dixon (CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team) was the rider to narrowly miss out on a top three in Q2 after van den Goorbergh beat the Brit’s time by a slender 0.020s. That means it’s P4 for Dixon on the grid ahead of his final race with Aspar, and joining the #96 on Row 2 are World Champion Ai Ogura (MT Helmets – MSI) and Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Racing Team).
Malaysian GP winner Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo) launches from P8 behind Filip Salač (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team), with stand-in rider Jorge Navarro again impressing on the OnlyFans American Racing Team Kalex after qualifying in P9.
A bunch of top 2024 names will be starting from outside the top 10 in Sunday’s race. After coming through Q1, Alonso Lopez (Sync SpeedUp) settled for P13 – one place ahead of Sergio Garcia (MT Helmets – MSI). Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) begins his race from P15 and after a crash towards the beginning of Q2, Fermin Aldeguer (Sync SpeedUp) has a mountain to climb from 18th.
Who will prevail in the final round of the season? Watch it all unfold at 12:15 (UTC +1)!

It’s now seven pole positions in 2024 for World Champion David Alonso (CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team) as the Colombian again shone brightest on a Saturday afternoon.
The #80 claimed pole by over three tenths in Barcelona to head Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) and Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets – MSI) on the front row, as both set their sights on finishing as the overall runner-up in 2024 on Sunday.
2024 Rookie of the Year, Angel Piqueras (Leopard Racing), fronts the second row of the grid, with Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) launching his silver medal bid from the middle of Row 2.
Luca Lunetta (SIC58 Squadra Corse) aims to end his impressive debut Grand Prix campaign on a high from P6 on the grid, as Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Racing) goes hunting for a top five World Championship finish from P7 – the Spaniard sits nine points away from David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports), with the latter P12 on the grid.
Next up: race time. Can Alonso clinch a record-breaking 14th win of the year, or will someone end the Colombian’s unreal end-of-year streak? Find out at 11:00 (UTC+1)!

So now to get the official status for Supersport with Kawasaki UK is amazing. I’m also happy to welcome Cameron to the team, who has been part of the Kawasaki umbrella for a number of years. We have done a lot of development of the ZX-6R this year and now with its eligibility to race in the World Supersport Championship, I’m excited for 2025.”

We believe that with a strong rider lineup and the next generation Ninja ZX-6R that they will be strong contenders for even more success next season.”
The #1 holds on by 0.055 ahead of Espargaro and Marquez, with Martin forced to settle for fourth as the grids set the stage for a stunning finale.
Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) will start the Tissot Sprint and Grand Prix at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona from pole as the #1 stayed cool under pressure to hold on at the top. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) made a late lunge for glory but came up short by just 0.055 in his final Q2, with Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) completing a fascinating front row – and one that doesn’t feature Championship leader Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing). He will instead start P4… directly behind his title rival Bagnaia.
Q1
FP2 delivered a final opportunity for the MotoGP™ stars to perfect their setups, with Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) taking top honours as Bagnaia finished ahead of Martin in a busy start to Saturday. Once Q1 itself was underway, Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) set a blistering pace in his opening laps – briefly topping the timesheets. With the clock ticking down, Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) then suffered a late crash at Turn 5. Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) were the riders who moved through, earning their spot in Q2 ahead of the final battle for pole.
Q2
The stage was set for Q2, with tactics at play during the first flying laps as Bagnaia went fastest, with Martin sitting in third. It seemed like Espargaro may have been on his own mission for Martin too, but it didn’t ultimately pay off.
Everything came down to the final five minutes, with Bagnaia finding further time and Morbidelli then pushing Martin off the provisional front row. The Championship leader was under pressure and did deliver a faster lap on his final push, but it wasn’t quite enough for that front row. He leapfrogged his teammate but remained behind Marc Marquez. Meanwhile, Espargaro’s last dash saw him challenge for pole, missing out by almost nothing.
THE GRID
Bagnaia, Espargaro and Marquez stare down Turn 1 from the front row, and Martin stares down Bagnaia from directly behind him, at the head of Row 2. Martin will have to work hard to wrap up the title in the Tissot Sprint after qualifying just ahead of teammate Morbidelli. The Italian rounded out the top five spots in Q2 as Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) ended the session as the top KTM/GASGAS rider in sixth.
Viñales spearheads the third row of the grid, ending Q2 a mere 0.351s adrift from Bagnaia’s benchmark. Alongside the #12 will be Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team), with ‘The Beast’ now left with some work to do as he is joined by compatriot Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) on the third after the Italian took ninth ahead of Quartararo.
Further back, Joan Mir (Repsol Honda Team) narrowly missed a spot in Q2 by 0.028s and will line up from 13th. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Brad Binder also missed a chance to fight in Q2, with the South African starting from P18 on the grid and surely a candidate to move forward…
The stage is set, with the grids poised to deliver some incredible action in Catalunya. Will the title be decided or is there one more twist in the tale? Join us later to find out.
Fresh from announcing AJN Steelstock as its title sponsor for the 2025 season, FS-3 Racing and Kawasaki UK are excited to announce Christian Iddon and Max Cook as the riders.
A regular race winner and podium finisher, Iddon brings a wealth of experience to the squad, while Cook will be looking to become an established front-runner as he enters his third season.
Visitors to the Kawasaki stand at Motorcycle Live today were treated to a live rider unveiling as the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki team was announced. With 2025 marking their tenth season, the new-look team will be spearheaded by British Superbike stalwart Christian Iddon, who will also be marking ten years since his first full season. One of the most popular riders in the paddock, he is a multiple race winner and regular podium finisher and will be looking to hit the ground running when he rides the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR for the first time.
No stranger to the Ninja ZX-10RR, Max Cook remains with the team for a third consecutive season. Having made the big jump up to Superbikes in 2021, the youngster has impressed everyone with his pace, claiming his maiden podium earlier this year. With a strong finish to the 2024 season, Cook is now ready to make the step up to consistently challenge for podiums throughout 2025.
Max Cook
“The 2024 season was a big learning curve for me, and there were many high points during the year, including achieving my first BSB pole position and podium finish. I know the areas for improvement to come from me in 2025 so I can become an established front-runner. A strong finish to the 2024 season has given me a big boost in confidence and shown me what the ZX-10RR is really capable of. I’m really looking forward to having a strong and consistent season, and thank you, AJN Steelstock Kawasaki, for giving me the opportunity.
Christain Iddon
“I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the very impressive team workshop and been welcomed with open arms by the team and Kawasaki. After spending four of the last five years on another manufacturer’s bikes, I know there will be a bit of adaptation to make, but once I am able to get on the team’s ZX-10RR superbike, I plan to start making the changes necessary for me to get the best out of the bike. Kawasaki has achieved considerable success over the years in BSB, and my own expectations are very high, so I’m just excited for 2025 to hurry up so we can get down to business”
Nigel Snook, AJN Steelstock Kawasaki Team Owner
“We are delighted to confirm that AJN Steelstock will be extending its support for the team, stepping up to be our title sponsor as we continue to represent Kawasaki in the series. We are confident that the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki superbikes will have a big impact on the championship. We have a strong rider lineup as established front-runner Christian Iddon joins us alongside Max Cook, our talented youngster.”
Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki Motors UK
“We are excited to welcome Christian into the Team Green family for the 2025 season! We are confident that Christian, alongside Max, will be a force to be reckoned with next season. The team have a lot of development planned over the winter and this rider line-up in combination with the Ninja ZX-10RR will surely give us the platform to fight at the front of the field.”

#TheRematch decider has been turned up a notch with the reigning Champion finding Friday form and the title leader enduring some Practice troubles.
Day 1 of #TheRematch decider at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona belonged to the hunter – Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team). The reigning #1 set the pace on Friday to land an important early jab on World Championship leader Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), as the latter managed to hold onto a fifth place finish after encountering some Turn 5 troubles deep into Practice. It’s job done in terms of getting into Q2 without too many issues for the #89, but there’s plenty of room for improvement for the rider who sits 24 points clear of the current #1 with the biggest Saturday of the season firmly on the horizon.
Operating inside the top three on Day 1 was second fastest – and one of Bagnaia’s chief allies – Marco Bezzecchi. The Italian was on song in Practice as he aims to bid farewell to the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team with a podium finish at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. And if Day 1 is anything to go by, then the Italian is looking good to challenge for just that. P3 went the way of Catalan GP Tissot Sprint winner Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) after the retiring home hero set a strong lap in the closing stages to sit 0.107s off Bagnaia’s lap.
Following a relatively quiet opening three-quarters of the session as the riders flicked through their respective programmes, the session really kicked into sixth gear with just under 15 minutes remaining. Traditions. And speaking of traditions, Martin climbed to a familiar P1 with a 1:39.652 and on his next flyer, a 1:39.214 was landed to see the World Championship leader sit 0.330s clear of Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing). At this stage (10 minutes to go) Bagnaia was fifth, just under half a second down on his title rival’s effort.
That three-tenth advantage was slashed to just 0.010s as Viñales improved. Then, one of the standout riders of the season demoted Martin to P2. Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR) set a 1:39.197 to grab top spot, with the top five now split by less than a tenth. Those were Zarco, Martin, Viñales, Bagnaia and Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™).
Heading into the final four minutes, Martin couldn’t get a lap going and at Turn 5, the Spaniard produced a more than decent front-end save. The #89 cut a frustrated figure as Bezzecchi propelled his GP23 to P1 before Bagnaia went 0.080s quicker than his compatriot to pinch P1 off his VR46 Academy stablemate.
With a minute to go, Martin was P5 and not going any quicker, but he looked out of danger in terms of not getting into Q2. No one else was improving enough to trouble the sharp end of the timesheets, so it was job done for #TheRematch contenders. Bagnaia was top of the class on Friday, and Martin was fifth without too many dramas. Roll on qualifying.
Zarco’s incredibly impressive Friday afternoon stint saw the Frenchman keep hold of P4 ahead of Martin, with Viñales, Alex Marquez, his teammate Marc Marquez, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) and Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) acting as the other riders who clinched automatic Q2 spots, as Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) missed out in P11 by just 0.020s.
So that’s the final Friday of the year done. Bagnaia heads into a title-defining Saturday at the summit, exactly where he wanted to be. Martin faces match point Saturday in P5, but that could all change when qualifying comes around. And what a session it promises to be. What a day it’s set to be. Will Martin end the Tissot Sprint as the new World Champion, or will Bagnaia do what he needs to do to take the title fight to Sunday? In less than 24 hours, we’ll know the answer. Bring it on.
0.231s is the advantage Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) holds heading into Saturday at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona after the Spaniard set a 1:42.426 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Jake Dixon (CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team) pocketed P2 on his final Friday with the Aspar outfit, as Manuel Gonzalez (Gresini Moto2™) claimed third as the Spaniard goes hunting for a third place Championship finish.
After claiming a phenomenal podium in Malaysia, Jorge Navarro (OnlyFans American Racing) kicked off his Solidarity GP with a P4 in Practice 1, as Sepang winner Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo) completed Friday’s fastest five.
Newly crowned World Champion, Ai Ogura (MT Helmets – MSI), had a solid outing to end the day in P6, one place ahead of the returning Fermin Aldeguer (Sync SpeedUp) as both look to end their Moto2™’s careers on a high before jumping into MotoGP™ action on Tuesday.
How will the grid take shape in Barcelona? The all-important Practice 2 begins at 09:25, before qualifying gets going at 13:45 at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona.

Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) topped the Moto3™ timesheets in Practice 1 thanks to a 1:46.568, but it wasn’t by much as compatriot David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports) lapped within a tenth of the #96.
Angel Piqueras (Leopard Racing) slotted his Honda inside the top three, just under two tenths away from Holgado’s pace.
Joel Kelso (BOE Motorsports) and Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) bagged top five results on Friday as the latter aims to beat Holgado on Sunday to the 2024 silver medal honour. The duo sit tied on points ahead of qualifying and the race.
David Alonso (CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team) had a quiet day at the office, ending the day just on the right side of the Q2 cut line in P14. The Colombian will be hoping to find some improvements in Practice 2 to climb the timesheets ahead of qualifying.
Tune in for P2 at 08:40 before qualifying starts at 12:50 at the Solidarity GP!

Silence presents its first motorcycle the S05 weekender, the company also exhibits a new version of the S02 scooter, the market leader in Europe, as well as the GT-SX Prototype, a grand touring motorcycle with more range and power
After five consecutive years as the market leader in electric scooters in Europe, Silence, ACCIONA’s electric vehicle brand, has launched its first motorcycle, the S05 Weekender, at the International Exhibition of Bicycles, Motorcycles and Accessories (EICMA), which is being held in Milan this week. The S05 Weekender is designed for everyday urban use while at the same time capable of making small excursions on trails.
In addition, the company is showcasing two major new products at the Milan Motor Show: its new S02 scooter (Model Year 2025) – more robust, lighter and maneuverable – and a prototype of a third motorcycle in the grand touring category, the GT-SX Prototype, which will have more range and power for intercity travel.
The S05 Weekender is designed for weekend mobility and daily urban journeys, providing a solution to the demand for a new electric mobility that is both pollution-free and quiet. While it is not an off-road motorcycle, it is suitable for recreational use as its design allows it to be ridden off-road. Its sale price will start at €3,500.
The new motorcycle has a top speed of 120 kilometers / hour with a certified range of 133 kilometers. Notably, it has a lightweight design (94 kilograms without battery).
It features ABS brakes and a seven-inch touchscreen. In addition, it includes an ample storage compartment under the faux tank for a helmet. There is also a basic version with a top speed limited to 100 kilometers / hour.
For Carlos Sotelo, director of ACCIONA’s mobility division, the launch of Silence’s new motorcycle means “having a vehicle suitable for commutes, but also those we make during leisure and rest time. The bike generates no noise or vibrations and respects the environment”.
The new Silence S02 scooter – designed for private customers and for the sharing service the company offers in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Valencia, among others – is suitable for both personal and professional use. It features larger wheels that provide greater stability and safety. It is a robust vehicle, weighing just 130 kilograms with the battery, and has an under-seat compartment for helmet storage.
This scooter model, starting at €2,800, will be offered in two versions: the L1e (moped) and the L3e. They will have a maximum speed of 45 kilometers / hour and 90 kilometers / hour, respectively, with a range of 133 kilometers for the more powerful version.
Silence is also working on the GT-SX Prototype, a grand touring motorcycle prototype, which will feature two batteries providing a range of over 200 kilometers. It will be ideal for commuters traveling daily from metropolitan areas to large cities, allowing them to avoid traffic without polluting.
Another key feature will be its cruising speed. Thanks to a new motor, it will be capable of traveling on intercity roads, comfortably reaching the maximum permitted speed. Like all GT models, it is a fully-faired motorcycle, offering excellent aerodynamic protection for both the rider and the passenger.
The motorcycle has ample storage space under the seat, able to easily hold two full-face helmets.
All three new models that Silence is presenting at the Milan Show share the same removable battery, a consistent feature across all their vehicles, including the S04 nanocar, which has been available since July in the brand’s stores and in Nissan’s European network.
The company has an extensive network of battery swapping stations, allowing users who opt for a subscription model – reducing the price by up to 35%, depending on the model – to swap batteries in just a few seconds.
Segway’s E300SE fully road-legal electric scooter continues to impress consumers, the motorcycle trade and the media with its market-leading innovative tech features, remarkable acceleration and real-world top speed.
The 10kw powered, 125cc-eqivalent scooter, boasts the highest performance in its class, accelerating from 0 to 50kmh in just 2.9 seconds. It provides 200NM of torque, with the two removable 74v 27ah lithium-ion batteries under the floor giving approximately 4kwh of energy, which is enough for about 45 to 50 miles of range. Charging time is 3.5 hours for one, and 5.5 hours for two batteries. It can also accommodate a third battery under the seat, adding another 1.9kwh of capacity, while still retaining a decent amount of storage space.
Unique to this Segway flagship model is the addition of different riding modes, including a boost mode that gives instant acceleration and 50 per cent greater performance when required. It also provides eco mode, cruise control, and full-power sports mode.
Safety is paramount to Segway. The E300SE runs on 12″ wheels with front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS and traction control as standard. It also includes two settings of regenerative braking, that will stop the scooter without the need to touch the brakes, and a hill start mode to stop the machine from rolling back on inclines.
Other features incorporated into the advanced E300SE which are monitored and set through the exclusive Segway Smart App are a Motor Lock that disables the bike if anyone tries to wheel it away, Airlock for a keyless start, rider recording, programmable indicator noise, auto power off, GPS and alarm. The E300SE is also sold with a complimentary two-year free 4G SIM subscription, ensuring riders stay connected wherever they go.
The RRP is £3,999.00 after OLEV grant is applied and includes a two-year manufacturer’s machine warranty, with three years on the two batteries fitted as standard.
Available now, in black.

The Triumph Triple Trophy motorcycle, a one-off Triumph Street Triple 765 RS, customised at Triumph’s global HQ at Hinckley, UK, was presented to Ai Ogura at the special Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona, the final round of the 2024 season.
Ai Ogura, MT MSI Helmets Team said: “I am very happy to have the fan vote and receive this Triumph bike. I was following this championship and knew that the winner would receive a bike at the end, and thank you to the fans who voted for me.
“It looks amazing; the suspension looks really good and the brakes feel good. I need to think how I will use the bike as I don’t have a road license, so I need to think about that – maybe I can make it a stunt bike!”
Steve Sargent, Triumph’s Chief Product Officer added: “Congratulations to Ai on a fantastic season that saw him crowned World Champion as well as the Triple Trophy winner. He truly deserves it after such a strong season where he showed his maturity and intelligence as well as his talent. We hope he enjoys his prize of the Street Triple RS! He made history this year as the first Asia Talent Cup graduate to win a Grand Prix world title, and to graduate to MotoGP, and we look forward to following his progress in the premier class.”
The season finale was the Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona, with the venue moved following the terrible flooding in Valencia. As the MotoGP community pulled together to raise funds for the region and support victims of the floods, Triumph and Externpro donated a unique auction prize, featuring parts used in the 765cc Triumph engines that have powered victories by Moto2TM champions this season:
The crankshaft used by Fermín Aldeguer in the German Moto2™ Grand Prix at the Sachsenring, 7 July 2024
Piston 1 used by Alonso López in the Qatar Moto2™ Grand Prix at Lusail International Circuit, 10 March 2024
Piston 2 used by Sergio García in the Americas Moto2™ Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, 14 April 2024
Piston 3 used by Arón Canet in the Portuguese Moto2™ Grand Prix at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, 24 March 2024

Known as the Original Hooligan, the Speed Triple launched in 1994, creating a new motorcycle category and setting the benchmark for factory streetfighters. Aggressive and purposeful, the original Triumph Speed Triple was designed from the ground up for the road, as a naked performance street bike.
The 2005 Speed Triple 1050 then reset the benchmark all over again in a competitive class of track-oriented sports bikes. In 2021, the Speed Triple 1200 RS returned to its roots as a road-focused naked performance street bike, reborn as the most agile, most powerful and fastest accelerating Speed Triple ever.
NEW ALTERNATOR COVER FOR UPDATED HONDA
Honda’s road-biased sports bike, the novice-friendly CBR650R and the naked middleweight CB650R, received several updates for 2024 — among them one that necessitated a redesign of GBRacing’s secondary alternator cover to achieve the perfect fit with the new CBR650R fairing.
Available now to purchase individually or as a set, the new alternator cover together with the existing clutch and pulse covers offers FIM-approved protection to the same standards as those used in World Championship racing.
Brake and clutch lever guards, as well as GBRacing’s new XL Bullet Frame Sliders, are also available to fit these models — with such popularity as daily commuters, these additional parts are ideal for tough protection in urban environments.
All GBRacing products are designed and made in the UK and are available to purchase direct from GBRacing or from its official dealers both in the UK and in 40 countries around the world.
*Beware of fake parts — if in any doubt of the authenticity of a GBRacing product please contact GBRacing with details of the vendor.*

Squire sidecars are back with a Benelli powered outfit set to sell at an introductory price of just £7499
Watsonian-Squire have developed a simple sidecar outfit that is ideal for motorcyclists to get their first taste of life on three wheels.
Production costs have been minimised by simplifying the sidecar build process and pairing it with a specific motorcycle, which makes fitting at the factory quicker and easier.
The development team picked the Benelli Imperiale 400 to power the outfit, because its air-cooled single cylinder engine is reliable and produces sufficient torque to propel a lightweight sidecar.
Named the Squire SB1, the sidecar body is moulded in the UK from GRP fibreglass, with a tough gloss black gelcoat finish. Instead of a screen, there is a GRP wind deflector and the passenger sits in a bucket seat, also made from GRP, with an upholstered cushion in black vinyl.
It sits on a newly designed platform chassis, made from powder-coated tubular steel for strength and longevity. Rubber torsion suspension and a 10” steel wheel provide a smooth ride.
The chassis is pre-set for toe-in, lean-out and axle-lead on the Benelli, which means it can be detached and reattached by the owner, following basic instructions supplied with the outfit.
Watsonian Squire Managing Director Ben Matthews explains the thinking behind the new outfit;
“Back in the 1980s Squire produced hundreds of sidecars for the importers of budget Jawa and MZ motorcycles. This created fantastic economies of scale and made sidecars an affordable option for thousands of riders. We still get enquiries from customers looking to buy a complete outfit ‘off-the-shelf’ and so we decided to create a modern equivalent under the Squire brand, to differentiate it from our bespoke Watsonian range”.
The Squire SB1 outfit will be launched at Motorcycle Live at the NEC. Both motorcycle and sidecar are only available black. RRP is £7,999 including VAT and OTR charges, but for a limited time there will be an introductory offer at just £7,499.
Located near the Cotswold village of Blockley, Watsonian-Squire welcomes visitors. See their full range of sidecars at www.watsonian-squire.com.
In a lineup of familiar faces, Honda Racing UK is delighted to reveal the riders campaigning for the manufacturer throughout the 2025 season in British Championship racing and at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT races.
In the Bennetts British Superbike series, Tommy Bridewell continues for a second year determined to go one better next season and become a two-time BSB champion. His remarkable 2024 campaign was punctuated with three wins and a further sixteen podiums en route to second in the championship standings, just a single point away from consecutive titles on alternate manufacturers.
Joining him aboard a Honda Racing UK Fireblade once more is Northern Irishman Andrew Irwin, who is set to embark on his fifth season with the team (2019-2020, 2023-2025). A previous winner aboard Honda machinery, he made a welcome return to the podium on multiple occasions last year and targets more in 2025.
Returning to race once more in the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT Races, Dean Harrison is eager to build on an excellent debut year racing the Fireblade and CBR600RR on the roads. Podiums aboard Superbike, Superstock & Supersport machinery in his first year of racing for Honda laid the solid foundations on which to build in 2025. Dean will also supplement his road racing activities with a season of racing in the British Supersport category.
Lining up alongside him in the iconic colours of Honda once more to compete solely in the ‘big bike’ classes is road racing royalty, John McGuinness MBE. His popular return to the podium at this year’s NW200 was a clear standout from his thirty-fourth season of motorcycle racing, and with season thirty-five now confirmed, he and Honda look set to continue making history together for another year.
And finally, fresh from his 2024 British Supersport Championship triumph, Jack Kennedy is confirmed as a Honda Racing UK rider in 2025 with a decision pending on the championship in which he will race. He is set to test 2025 Supersport & Superbike machinery at the end of November before making an informed decision on his future. An announcement will be made in due course.
All five 2025 riders will be in attendance at Motorcycle Live, on 17th November, marking their first public appearance as 2025 team members.
#1 Tommy Bridewell
I am incredibly excited to continue with Honda for another season. In our first year together we achieved a huge amount of success and proved so many people wrong, especially after spending five years with another manufacturer and starting the year with a brand-new package for the team and I. Ultimately, we finished second in the championship by a single point but the difference in the level of the package from round one compared to round eleven was huge. We’ve had our learning year if you like, and now it’s time to put in place all of the things we’ve learnt and deliver on that potential. Our target is the same, to win the championship and become a two-time BSB champion.
#18 Andrew Irwin
I can’t wait to get started in 2025, I am thankful to Harv and Neil Fletcher for giving me this opportunity to continue into my third consecutive year with the team. It’s time for me to show them why I am here in the team and repay the faith they have shown in me. The Fireblade development, particularly towards the end of the year came on massively and the package is now very competitive. We always have a really good off-season and we have lots of testing planned so I can’t wait to get going and I’m excited for the year ahead.
#4 Jack Kennedy
I feel in a unique position following the fantastic year that we have had, as I have the opportunity to carry out a private test before making an informed decision on what I want to do next year. It’s not often you get the chance to test ride the bike before you commit to racing it the following season! The team is making this possible and we worked so well together this year so thank you to them. Remaining as a Honda Racing UK rider was the priority and I am excited to test before making my final decision on the 2025 season ahead.
#5 Dean Harrison
I am so excited to go again next year having learnt all of the lessons we learnt this year on the roads and the short circuits. I enjoy riding the CBR600RR so much so to continue in Supersport is really positive, we showed some really good pace on that bike so I want to continue building on that good form. I also get to work with the same crew as this year across all of my racing next season which helps a lot with consistency. You see how hard they work and it’s such a motivator for me. We have a year of development under our belt with all of the bikes and I am looking forward to getting on with the job and trying to win.
#1 John McGuinness MBE
There is nothing that makes me prouder than putting on my Honda top, riding for this team and representing the brand. To be there in the thick of it contributing what I can to the team and having a good go of it myself, it honestly means the world. So to get the opportunity to continue doing that for another year, I couldn’t be happier. I rode hard this year and you could say we managed to capitalise on a few scenarios to stand back on the box again, but they don’t come in Christmas crackers and you have to earn them. It was amazing really, and very humbling to get such a reaction. I always knew I was capable of another podium but when it came it was so sweet. I’m just super proud and excited to get going with the testing and get stuck in come the season start.
Team Manager Havier Beltran
2024 represented a fundamental shift for Honda as we returned to the fight at the front and showcased our true racing potential, celebrating hard earnt success. Tommy performed exceptionally in his first year with us and whilst he ultimately came second in the championship he showcased exactly why he is a British champion with his remarkable consistency and dogged determination. There is absolutely no reason why he cannot fight again to become a champion for Honda in 2025. Andrew stepped back onto the podium in 2024 and his return to front-running form has been great to witness, his speed and potential have always been there and I am confident with a positive off-season he can hit the ground running in the spring.
Dean’s performance on two brand-new motorcycles this year on the roads was hugely impressive and the podiums he achieved were a just reward for the dedication he displayed. I am also confident that a switch to Supersport will enable Dean to build on the front running pace he showcased towards the latter end of the 24 season. John and Honda have such a rich and fruitful history so retaining him for another year, particularly after an emotional return to the podium at this year’s North West, was an easy decision to make as John brings so much experience with him to the team.
Jack’s 2024 season was nothing short of outstanding and his performances on the 600 warrant serious consideration as to his future. As such, we have decided to complete a private test on both Superbike and Supersport machinery before making an informed decision on his future. This gives Jack and us the best opportunity to confirm our plans.
Finally, I would like to thank Nathan for his commitment to the team over the last two seasons. Together we achieved his best-ever finish and average lap speed of the TT. I am confident that he has a bright future ahead of him, and I hope to be able to continue supporting him moving forward.
Head of Motorcycles, Honda UK Neil Fletcher
It is with enormous excitement that I look forward to 2025 and our commitment to racing across multiple championships on the short circuits and racing on the roads. This season Honda demonstrated our competitiveness by achieving success across the board, a championship victory in Supersport, race wins and podiums in Superbike and multiple podiums across each category we raced on the roads. Retaining the services of each of the riders that contributed to this success was paramount when confirming our 2025 plans, and now with year one of our development cycle complete of these models, we have all of the ingredients for an even better 2025.
