Southern 100 Memorial Service Returns for 13th Year
Sunday 5th July 2026 marks the 13th annual Southern 100 Memorial Service at Kirk Malew, situated at Glover Law Church Bends, one of the most iconic and well-loved spectator vantage points on the Motor Isle Billown Course.
Ahead of the start of Southern 100 week, riders, supporters, officials, marshals and friends of the Southern 100 are invited to take part in a special Memorial Ride-Out from the Southern 100 Club Headquarters on the Castletown Bypass. The ride will complete two laps of the Motor Isle Billown Course before making its way to Kirk Malew Church for a short commemorative service beginning at 3:00pm.
Now in its thirteenth year, the service continues to grow in popularity and has become a valued part of Southern 100 week. Musical accompaniment will once again be provided by the Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band, whose contribution has become a much-appreciated tradition.
The church will be adorned with a floral display created by Tricia Clague, dedicated to the Southern 100 Road Races, while an iconic racing machine will also be on display, helping to celebrate the rich heritage of racing on the Motor Isle Billown Course.
Those wishing to participate in the Memorial Ride-Out are asked to assemble in the Holding Area at 2:00pm, with the lap departing at 2:30pm. Participants are reminded that all vehicles used on the ride must be fully taxed, insured and road legal.
Parking will be available in the field adjacent to the church and everyone is warmly welcome to attend.
Whether attending after taking part in the Ride-Out or simply joining friends and fellow supporters at the church, visitors can expect a short, friendly and welcoming service, followed by light refreshments.
The Southern 100 Club looks forward to welcoming everyone to Kirk Malew on Sunday 5th July.
