The penultimate round of the 2025 British Superbike season returned to Oulton Park. With Storm Amy on the horizon, the weather was sure to play a pivotal role in the weekend.
The weekend was off to a strong start, with Josh Brookes going directly through into the second qualifying session after a good showing in practice. Lee Jackson would also go on to top the Q1 session to join Brookes in the pole position shootout. The session ended with Brookes lining up in tenth for the opening race, with Jackson a solid twelfth.
The opening race of the weekend coincided with the rain reappearing, meaning that tyre choice would be a complete gamble as to what would work and what wouldn’t. With most riders opting for full wets or slicks, Josh Brookes chose the intermediate option. As the race progressed, it became clear that this was the correct tyre choice, as the former two-time champion carved his way to the front of the field.

Despite the rain falling again in the latter stages of the race, Brookes was hot on the heels of the race leader and made a superb move into Britton’s chicane on the final lap. The move for the lead proved to be a masterclass in timing, as Brookes was able to hold on to take a sensational victory – his first in two years, and the first ever BSB win for DAO Racing.
Despite the tyre choice not quite paying off for Lee Jackson in terms of finishing position, the #14 was still able to have a strong ride and place himself fourth on the grid for the second race of the weekend.
Rain would once again disrupt the schedule heading into the second race. Nonetheless, action eventually got underway – with Brookes starting from pole position and Jackson from the front of the second row. The race got off to a good start, with both Jackson and Brookes running in contention for the podium positions. At the flag, Brookes would bring his machine with another strong result in eighth. Despite contending for the top three, luck would not go Jackson’s way as his race was brought to a premature end.

The third and final race took place under full dry conditions, for the only time this weekend. Despite a lack of dry track time and data, both riders secured solid points for the team, finishing eleventh and twelfth, respectively.
Overall, it was an excellent weekend that saw the team clinch their first-ever British Superbike class victory and the first win for Josh Brookes in two years. Both riders showed strong pace throughout the weekend and were able to challenge for the podium positions.

The team will return to action at Brands Hatch from October 17th to 19th for the final round of the 2025 season.
