MotoE: Ferrari on pole, front row split by less than a tenth in Austria
Headlines
MotoE: The #11 pips Casadei and Granado to the top as tiny margins decide pole position in Spielberg.
For the first time in over a year, Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE) will launch from pole position in the FIM MotoE World Championship after the Italian’s 1:39.918 was good enough to beat Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) by just 0.031s. Eric Granado makes it two LCR E-Team bikes on the front row after the Brazilian strung together an impressive Q2, with a tiny 0.096s splitting the trio.
World Championship leader Andrea Mantovani (KLINT Forward Factory Team) failed to get out of Q1 and has work to do from P12 on the grid, which will be a key challenge across two races on Saturday. Can the chasing pack fight back? Make sure you tune in to both races – the first at the earlier time of 12:10 and the second at 16:10 (UTC +2).
