MotoJunior returns for more in Jerez
The series rolls into one of motorcycle racing’s most iconic venues – the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto!
After a dramatic trip to Portugal, the FIM MotoJunior World Championship heads to Jerez for Round 3 of the season. It’s already shaping up to be an unmissable weekend, with further drama, action and point swings in store!
Moto3 Junior World Championship
– Giulio Pugliese (CFMOTO Aspar Junior Team) enters the weekend as the Championship leader, holding a seven-point advantage over our latest winner, Kiandra Ramadhipa (Honda Asia-Dream Racing Junior Team), who enjoyed an impressive visit to Portugal.
– Elsewhere, there’s plenty of competition with Travis Borg (Team Monlau Motul) looking strong following back-to-back P2 finishes and Carlos Cano (CFMOTO Aspar Junior Team) adding to his confidence following his first podium in the Moto3 Junior category.
– Leonardo Zanni (Momoven Racing) will eye victory this weekend too, with the #57 entering Round 3 already a winner at a circuit where he experienced two P4 finishes in 2025.
Moto2 European Championship
– Unai Orradre (Momoven Racing) heads to Jerez as the title leader, holding a three-point advantage following a dramatic trip to Estoril. Orradre is a previous winner at Jerez, having won in 2025.
– Milan Pawelec (AGR Team) seeks redemption in Round 3, looking to bounce back following a Race 2 crash last time out. Pawelec sits second in the title race, having secured three podiums – two wins – so far in 2026.
– Other riders looking to carry momentum into this weekend include Eric Fernandez (Fau55teyRacing), who took his first win of the season last time out and Dennis Foggia (Team Ciatti – Boscoscuro), who has plenty of Jerez experience from his World Championship years.
Moto4 European Cup
– It’s set to be another busy weekend for the Moto4 field, where Alvaro Lucas (CFMOTO Aspar Junior Team) enters the weekend unbeaten, looking to continue his win streak and extend his 35-point advantage.
– Edoardo Savino (Leopard Junior) remains Lucas’ nearest rival in the Championship following a difficult Race 2 in Estoril. Savino finished P20 after some pre-race issues, finishing off the podium for the first time in 2026.
– Lorenzo Pritelli (Team Echovit Pasini Racing) and Victor Cubeles (Team Impala Honda) also remain in the hunt, both scoring podiums in Round 2, whilst Qabil Irfan (SIC – GRYD Racing) remains in search of his first rostrum finish following another P4 finish.
Stock European Championship
– After a dramatic Round 3, Yeray Ruiz (Team Honda Laglisse) has taken the Championship lead from Blai Trias (GV Tamoil Racing) following the #72’s photo finish.
– Miguel Bernal (MDR Competicion) returns to the spotlight this weekend following an impressive start to his rookie campaign. The #35 earned his first podium in Estoril – narrowly missing out on victory by 0.001 seconds.
– Competition remains tight in the Stock ECh, with Lorenzo Fellon (SF Racing) targeting a strong result at a circuit he knows well and Face Racing’s Jacobo Hinojosa and Filippo Fuligni looking to carry their form into Jerez – remaining tied on points.
