Taylor Mackenzie And Danny Webb Launch New Business

For decades now, motorsport paddocks have run on an unspoken rule of that if you want to get anywhere, you’d better know someone that knows someone!

Whispered conversation out the back of pit boxes and trailers – for a world full of the latest technology, it can feel stubbornly old school.

Two people looking to change that with the launch of their new business venture, The Paddock Network, is former National Superstock Champion, Taylor Mackenzie and current FIM EWC rider Danny Webb. Their new dedicated motorsport job and talent platform aims to solve one of the sport’s biggest ongoing problems. There has never been a simple, central place to find available riders, mechanics, media staff, hospitality crew and other paddock professionals.

“Everyone in racing knows how chaotic this process can be”

The Paddock Network has been designed specifically around the real world problems teams and workers face every day inside the paddock. Importantly, The Paddock Network has also been created to open doors for the general public. Both founders received countless messages from fans asking how they could ever get a job in the paddock. For the first time, there is a platform where anyone, not just insiders, can see real opportunities and take their first steps into the sport.

“Everyone in racing knows how chaotic this process can be” said Taylor Mackenzie, co-founder of The Paddock Network. “Right now, teams rely on scattered Facebook posts and word of mouth to find available riders or staff. If a mechanic becomes free, or a rider is looking for a seat, there has never been a central place to go. We’ve built The Paddock Network to fix that.”

The platform allows riders, mechanics, engineers, data technicians, media staff, videographers, hospitality crew, promotional models and all other paddock workers to create professional profiles and upload their CVs. Employers can list positions across every level of the sport, from club racing to world championship competition. The idea came from lived experience. Riders often lose seats with no warning and have only a few days to find a new opportunity. Junior riders without management struggle to get seen by teams. A team might suddenly need an HGV driver for a single round, a data engineer for testing, or a videographer for a content project. Until now, these opportunities were almost impossible to find in one place.

“This is a place where everyone in the paddock can finally connect.”

“We want to build the missing link in motorsport,” said Danny Webb. “Whether it is a British Superbike team looking for weekend mechanics, a Moto3 team trying to fill a workshop position, or a junior rider trying to get noticed. This is a place where everyone in the paddock can finally connect.”

The platform launches today with several opportunities already live, including a full-time workshop role at Honda Racing UK, a mechanic position at McAMS Yamaha, and a full-time Moto3 workshop mechanic role in Spain with MLav Racing, among many others. The Paddock Network aims to make the entire hiring landscape more visible, more accessible, and more professional. Riders will be able to showcase themselves properly rather than relying on social media posts. Teams will be able to browse talent in the same way they would browse parts or services.
