LIQUI MOLY now also available from Motor Parts Direct

Rapid Care And Many Oils At Moto Bike Expo

Collaboration between the German oil and additive specialist and UK’s largest independent motor factor

The German motor oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY is expanding its distribution in the UK. The company’s range is now also available from Motor Parts Direct, the UK’s largest independent motor factor. “This makes getting hold of motor oils and additives made in Germany easier, not only for workshops, but also for car drivers,” says Debbie Barnes, Managing Director at LIQUI MOLY UK Ltd.

In addition to motor oils and additives, LIQUI MOLY offers an extensive range of automotive chemicals, for combustion engines and electric vehicles, for hybrid vehicles and hydrogen cars – everything from a single source and compatible with each other. LIQUI MOLY has been voted the best oil brand in its home market of Germany for many years.

“LIQUI MOLY is not just a premium brand,” says Kevin Blazey, Marketing Director from Motor Parts Direct. “LIQUI MOLY offers workshops a wide range of chemical tools that can complete many tasks faster, easier and more cost-effectively than would be possible with classic methods.” Examples include the diesel particulate filter cleaner, which can be used to clean clogged diesel particulate filters when installed, and the Pro-Line Injector and Glow Plug Dismantling Aid, which can be used to remove stuck injectors without damaging them. LIQUI MOLY also offers useful devices that open up new business fields for workshops, such as Gear Tronic III, which automates and simplifies the difficult oil change for automatic transmissions and also enables the use of cleaning additives.

“In Motor Parts Direct, we have found a partner that shares the same values in many respects,” says Debbie Barnes from LIQUI MOLY. “Neither of us cut budgets in fear during the pandemic, but rather invested. And we both know that not only do we need good products, but also good service.” Motor Parts Direct operates more than 172 branches and 15 logistics centres. “This means we now have better availability of goods across England,” says Debbie Barnes.

Kawasaki – have bag will travel

Kawasaki – Have Bag Will TravelIf you made a new year resolution to take no personal baggage into 2023 you are out of luck, Kawasaki has just launched an expanded range of desirable high-quality luggage for the new season, and it covers all the bases.

From backpacks to trolley bags all the way up to a bag large enough to carry an entire set of riding gear, the range comprises six items for the new season with no less than three bags making their debuts.

A 20l capacity sports backpack is first in line complete with lap top pocket, Kawasaki Rivermark logo and even Kawasaki branded zip pullers. Like most partner bags in the range, the dominant colour is black with subtle and effective lime green and white highlights.

Also new is a highly adaptable Canvas bag with both shoulder straps and carry handles that features a convenient padded base so delicate items are cushioned when you put the 27l capacity bag down. To close, the bag features an eyelet and chord hook fastener system further increasing its urban chic credentials.

From respected luggage maker Ogio there are four Kawasaki branded items to complete the 2023 range. For all weather riders and “outdoorsy” types, the waterproof backpack is a boon. Created in welded 420D nylon with a TPU film laminate, its main job in life is keeping your gear dry with the much favoured roll top closing plus three water resistant outer pockets and a capacity of 26l.

This is partnered by an Ogio backpack that can accommodate a large laptop (up to 17inches or 43.2cm) and an overall 40l capacity. It’s also worth noting that many items in the 2023 range comply with airline carry on regulations so check when you book and make your travelling life faster and easier.

And for frequent flyers in the check-in queue, the Ogio trolley bag takes up to 50l. With its telescopic pull handle, integrated wheels and reinforced contact points, this subtle black bag with white Kawasaki logo is classy and practical in equal measure.

Speaking of flights, last off the luggage carousel is the Kawasaki Ogio gear bag featuring SLED technology which stands for Structural Load Equalising Deck. Big rubber tyred wheels mean business and the telescopic pull handle is well up to the job of manoeuvring a “that’s it I’m off to a foreign track day” gear bag that can cope with a humungous 123l load.

It’s a fact of life – if you have stuff, you need a bag and Kawasaki have just about the most practical, durable, and fashionable branded range ready for you at your local dealer or to order from selected on-line outlets. So, make a new year resolution you are happy to keep, travel in style in 2023 with Kawasaki.

1936 Indian Four – £50,000 – £60,000 with H&H Classics

1936 Indian Four – £50,000 – £60,000 With H&h ClassicsA very rare survivor – a 1936 Indian Four – £50,000 – £60,000 with H&H Classics on March 29th at the National Motorcycle Museum.

For those of us who simply love the design and ethos of the Indian motorcycle this Indian Four offers a rare opportunity to fulfil a dream when it comes to sale with H&H Classics at the National Motorcycle Museum on March 29th.

Mike Davis, who heads the H&H Bike Department, says: “It was purchased by the vendor as a project and sympathetically restored, retaining the 1980s paint. It is a rare survivor today in the UK and comes complete with a current V5C and other paperwork. We have been advised it is running well.”

Indian were at the forefront of motorcycle design during the pioneer years, introducing many innovations including sprung frames and electrical lighting systems at a time when their rivals were still employing designs not far removed from those found in the contemporary cycle industry. In 1911 they secured the first three places in the Senior TT, on the Isle of Man, with machines equipped with countershaft gearboxes and chain drive.

1936 Indian Four – £50,000 – £60,000 With H&h ClassicsThroughout the 1920s and early 1930s, Indian continued to offer innovative solutions and adapted to the change in the North American marketplace that saw the motorcycle as transport threatened by the advent of affordable, mass-produced motorcars such as the Ford Model T, successfully transforming their products into “lifestyle” accessories, long before the concept had been invented. Although they produced successful single-cylinder models, influenced by the sporting machines produced in the UK, the Springfield factory was best known for their large capacity V-twins and the illustrious line of four-cylinder machines.

The Indian Four’s origins lay not in Springfield, but instead in Philadelphia, where following the sale of the Henderson four-cylinder design to the Schwinn company, William, or Bill Henderson established a new company, the ACE Motor Corporation, to produce a range of inlet over exhaust, inline-four cylinders ranging in capacity between 1168cc and 1266cc. The ACE company survived until 1927, despite the loss of its founder in 1922 when he was killed testing a new model, however, the deteriorating economic climate resulted in the ACE marque being purchased by Indian. The Indian fours continued to be marketed under the ACE brand until 1929 when they became the Indian Four. By the early 1930s the Indian 4 was well-integrated into the existing range, sharing features such as the leaf-sprung fork with their Vee-twin-powered siblings.

The oil used in Moto2 and Moto3 – for every motorcyclist

The Oil Used In Moto2 And Moto3 – For Every MotorcyclistRacing riders use Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race by LIQUI MOLY

The extreme pressure of motor racing is the ultimate test: An oil that proves its worth on the race track offers top performance on the road, too. And when it comes to engine oils, that’s LIQUI MOLY. All the teams in the Moto2 and Moto3 racing series use Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race by LIQUI MOLY.

This is a fully synthetic engine oil: its additives ensure reliable lubrication even under a high level of stress. The low level of friction not only reduces wear and tear, it also ensures that more horsepower actually goes on the road. This oil makes for top performance in all bikes of the Moto2 and Moto3 racing series.

The Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race is a high-performance oil, but it wasn’t developed specifically for this racing series. In fact it is one of 24 engine oils that make up the LIQUI MOLY range – not only suitable for both air and water-cooled 4-stroke engines but also for engines with and without a wet clutch. Approved according to JASO MS2. This is the quality Moto2 and Moto3 riders can rely on.

To find out whether Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Race is suitable for your own bike, see the free online oil guide at www.liqui-moly.com.

Multistrada V4 Rally: production of the grand tourer gets underway

Multistrada V4 Rally: Production Of The Grand Tourer Gets UnderwayMultistrada V4 Rally: production of the grand tourer Ducati gets underway.

Production of the Multistrada V4 Rally, the Ducati designed for lovers of long journeys, already featured in the third episode of the 2023 Ducati World Premiere, has begun at the Borgo Panigale factory. The new bike completes a touring range that has never been so extensive and which was born exactly 20 years ago with the first Multistrada 1000 that marked the opening of Ducati towards the world of travel.

Twenty years during which Multistrada has been able to evolve and renew itself through the 1100, 1200 and 1260, arriving at its fourth generation powered by the new, revolutionary V4 Granturismo. The Multistrada V4 interprets the concept of the Grand Tourer according to the values of Style, Sophistication, Performance that are intrinsic to Ducati’s DNA.

Multistrada introduced several innovations to the Ducati range, such as the Riding Modes and DVT variable valve timing, but it was also the first bike in the world equipped with technological innovations such as the semi-active Skyhook suspension, or more recently the world first of front and rear radar to support Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection systems as well as extended deactivation.

With the “Rally” Ducati takes the globetrotter spirit of the Multistrada V4 to an even higher level, thanks to better comfort for rider and passenger, greater range and a more pronounced off-road aptitude without neglecting performance (170 hp), reliability and running costs, with maintenance intervals every 60,000 km and Oil Service every 15,000 km/24 months thanks to the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine. The new deactivation strategy extends to the entire rear bank even when moving at low speeds, when the engine speed and the torque request from the throttle are low, positively impacting fuel consumption which drops by around 10%.

To tackle unpaved roads even better, this Multistrada can count on semi-active suspension with increased travel of 200 mm, lightened spoked rims, reinforced engine guards, an Enduro Riding Mode with brand new Power Mode dedicated to off-road use, wider rider foot-pegs and an even more precise and efficient Skyhook DSS EVO control strategy in this model.

Multistrada V4 Rally: Production Of The Grand Tourer Gets UnderwayComfort improves with particular attention to two-seater use: the windshield has been redesigned (increased by 40 mm in height and 20 mm in width), the tail has been lengthened and the luggage attachment set back to offer more space in the leg area to the passenger, who can also count on footrests with larger rubber inserts to reduce the level of transmitted vibrations. Furthermore, thanks to the availability of different height saddles for both rider and passenger and the lowered suspension kit, the Multistrada V4 Rally can be customized to adapt to any torque configuration. With a view to improving thermal comfort, the air vents in the leg area can now be divided in order to keep the heat released by the engine in the cold seasons.

To further support active safety, the Multistrada V4 Rally also integrates Cornering ABS, which allows you to harness the braking power of its system even when cornering, the Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), which improve night-time visibility by illuminating the inside of the bend, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). These systems use the inertial platform (IMU) to optimize intervention based on the lean and pitch angle of the vehicle.

The Multistrada V4 Rally also introduces a brand-new extended deactivation strategy of the rear bank, a technical solution making its debut on a production bike on the world stage. In addition to switching off the rear cylinders at idle when the bike is stationary, a function already present on the Multistrada V4, the V4 Granturismo now keeps the rear cylinder bank deactivated in other operating conditions to the benefit of fuel consumption and emissions.

The 6.5-inch colour TFT dashboard offers map navigation functions thanks to the Ducati Connect application, which supports the use of the telephone, now housed in a ventilated compartment, even to answer calls or listen to music, using a helmet equipped with an intercom system.
Multistrada V4 Rally: Production Of The Grand Tourer Gets Underway
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally will arrive in dealerships from February 2023 in the two colours of Ducati Red and Brushed Aluminium & Matt Black, the latter with a visible brushed aluminium tank. Both versions have black spoked rims. There are three different versions: Adventure Radar, equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection functions, Adventure Travel & Radar, which adds aluminium side cases, heated grips and saddles, while the Full Adventure completes the latter equipment with an Akrapovič homologated silencer and front mudguard in carbon fibre.

The Multistrada V4 Rally – like all Ducati Multistradas – is covered by the “4|Ever Ducati” warranty, valid for 4 years with no mileage limit, with roadside assistance included throughout continental Europe.

Strategies To Improve Motorcycle Betting

Strategies To Improve Motorcycle BettingWe now live in an era where betting on a sport is part of the whole experience. It doesn’t matter which sport, either, as all sports are readily available to place bets on.

But, using motorcycle betting as an example, it’s not something that you can just jump into, place bets and hope for the best.

While some may be happy to take the approach above, others are looking for strategies that may help to improve their motorcycle betting success, and you can take many of said strategies from similar sports, such as Formula . Furthermore, with the huge variety of online betting markets offered by established sportsbetting platforms, there will be no shortage of data and options to fine tune your specific game plan for success. Systems won’t necessarily guarantee wins, but the tips below will certainly move you in the right direction.

Do Your Research
The first port of call must always be to do your research. There is no point, and no need, to go into motorcycle betting unprepared and without any basic knowledge. In terms of research, you should be looking at things such as form and how riders have performed on certain tracks and against other riders. When you arm yourself with knowledge, you increase your chances of success tenfold.

Don’t Always Think Of The Here And Now
While many punters will be placing bets on the races and events happening in the present, it’s sometimes worth considering future races or outright bets too. The reason is that these are possibly going to be easier to pick while offering more favourable odds. If you can tie in some research to that, even better.

Work Out A Budget
It’s natural for some motorcycle racing enthusiasts to want to place bets on all the MotoGP races across the season, for example. But doing so without any sort of plan can mean you will be all over the place with money. However, by working out a budget and dividing it across races equally, you will always know where you are and whether you’re in profit. If things are going well, don’t increase your stakes; the same applies if things aren’t going great.

You Can Bet On Every Race
As mentioned above, it is possible to bet on every race, especially if you’ve budgeted properly for it. And, in some ways, it’s recommended because, along the way, you’ll pick up on riders, their motorcycles, form, and all that good stuff. But remember to work out a budget and stick to it, regardless of how well or poorly you’ve been doing. Bankroll management is vital.

Watch The Races Live
It’s now possible to watch a lot of motorcycle races live, and some platforms will even offer in-play betting. You’re in a much better position to place wagers if you can see exactly what is happening on the track. Watching the action unfold and placing bets accordingly is arguably the best strategy to go with, as you will pick up on everything, even the minor details, that those not watching the race can and will ultimately miss.

Toni Elias And Teagg Hobbs Join Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki In MotoAmerica

Toni Elias And Teagg Hobbs Join Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzuki In MotoamericaToni Elias And Teagg Hobbs Join Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki In MotoAmerica Competition.

The following release is from Suzuki…

Team Hammer is proud to announce the signings of former World and MotoAmerica champion Toni Elias and the fast-rising Teagg Hobbs to Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki for the 2023 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship season.

Elias will race Superbike and Hobbs will contest Supersport for Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki. They will join previously announced returning riders Richie Escalante and Tyler Scott.

Superbike ace Elias is one of the most successful and exciting racers in MotoAmerica history. The Spaniard originally took the series by storm in 2016, scoring three consecutive wins aboard the GSX-R1000R in what was originally slated to be a temporary ride as a substitute for an injured rider.

The remarkable start laid the groundwork for the historic multi-year run that followed. Elias won the 2017 MotoAmerica Superbike title in dominant fashion with ten wins and 18 podiums, and collected an astonishing 32 race wins and 60 podium finishes from 2016-2020.

He returned for substitute duty in 2021 after stepping away and demonstrated that he still had the pace to run up front, collecting a pair of podiums in limited action.

Of course, Elias was already a known quantity prior to his Stateside heroics. Before he first turned a wheel in MotoAmerica, he was already a global road racing star, winning the 2010 Moto2 World Championship, along with race wins in the MotoGP, Moto2, 250cc, and 125cc World Championships.

Elias returns to active duty following a 2022 spent focused on helping other riders unlock their potential via his Toni Elias Performance riding school.

“I’m happy to have the opportunity to go back to racing and it is special to do it with Suzuki and a team I know in Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki,” said Elias. “It’s great they gave me this opportunity and I am excited and motivated. I am ready to start working hard. It won’t be easy but let’s do it! I know the bike well and know the good things about it. We’ll work hard to improve it even more and I can’t wait to get started.”

“We all know that Toni Elias is a MotoAmerica champion, and we have seen what he is capable of achieving,” said Chris Ulrich, Team Hammer Vice President of Operations. “He is a great talent, and our task is to give him the machinery and environment he needs to get to the front again. There is no doubt he has the ability, and we need to help harness it.”

Hobbs, age 20, will step up into Supersport duty aboard a Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R750 following an impressive three-year tenure in the MotoAmerica Twins Cup Championship. During that span, Hobbs earned three consecutive top-10 championship rankings – including a fourth-place finish in 2021 – while compiling ten podium finishes highlighted by a pair of race wins.

A second-generation racer, Hobbs kicked off his racing career at 14 and earned his first MotoAmerica top-10 in final points at the age of 16, by finishing eighth in the 2018 Junior Cup.

In addition to his MotoAmerica accomplishments, the Manchester, New Hampshire native was part of the victorious WERA/N2 Lightweight Endurance race team at the 2022 WERA Grand National Finals and participated in an Aprilia Racing RS 660 Trofeo race at Autodromo Vallelunga in Campagnano di Roma, Italy.

“This will be my first season in Supersport and to go with Team Hammer and Suzuki is the opportunity of a lifetime,” Hobbs said. “When the opportunity arose, I couldn’t say no. Over the past couple of years, I had built a relationship with the team and loved riding their bikes. I really prefer the Suzuki and I am excited to see what we can do in one of the top MotoAmerica classes on a bigger bike. I am ready to learn and do my best.”

“Teagg is new to the team but not new to us,” said Chris Ulrich. “In the past, we supplied him with a Suzuki SV650, which he won races on. I know Teagg will benefit from a good team structure. Going into the season, the goal is for Teagg to be near the top five immediately and to be fighting for podiums by the end of the year.”

Rapid care and many oils at Moto Bike Expo

Rapid Care And Many Oils At Moto Bike ExpoLIQUI MOLY presents the new Motorbike Detailer and its wide range of motorcycle oils at the two-wheeler trade fair.

As a specialist in chemical products for bikes, LIQUI MOLY will be presenting its extensive product range at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona. Also in the game: The new Motorbike Detailer for quick and straightforward paint care. Simply spray, wipe and you’re done.

The Motorbike Detailer not only adds shine, it also tackles dirty jobs. The spray effortlessly removes dust, dirt and even bird droppings. It is so effective that it seals and adds shine to smooth enamel for several weeks. Water beads off treated surfaces and new dirt has a hard time taking hold. This applies to smooth painted areas as well as smooth plastic surfaces.

The application of the Motorbike Detailer is just as versatile as its effect: The agent works on both dry and wet surfaces. The type of cloth is decisive for the result: preferably a high-pile microfiber cloth with laser cut. It prevents streaks and can absorb a lot of moisture. Its simple and straightforward application makes the Motorbike Detailer a useful helper for every owner of a motorcycle or scooter.

LIQUI MOLY will also be showcasing its diverse range of motor oils at Motor Bike Expo. Whereas motor oil used to be a universal lubricant, today it is a liquid spare part that must to fit the particular engine exactly. Although there are significantly fewer oil specifications for motorcycles than for cars, the wrong oil can also have serious consequences here. LIQUI MOLY has more than two dozen different motor oils. The free, online oil guide at www.liqui-moly.com shows the right oil for the various makes of motorbikes. After just a few clicks, it displays a list of suitable motor oils and other fluids. In addition to motor oils, LIQUI MOLY also offers gear oils, fork oils and brake fluids as well as additives, service products and care products.

Not only are more and more motorcyclists relying on quality goods from Germany, but also the teams from the Moto2 and Moto3 racing series, all of whose bikes run on LIQUI MOLY oil. And with an oil that is not a special development for racing, but is available to everyone: the LIQUI MOLY Motorbike 4T Synth 5W-40 Street Race, which will also be on display at EICMA. A new addition to the oils is Motorbike 4T 10W-50 Street, with which LIQUI MOLY is expanding its range.

Motor Bike Expo will take place from 27 to 29 January on the Fiere Verona show grounds in Verona. LIQUI MOLY can be found in Hall 6 at Booth 16L.

Brake Free An Official Partner Of The 2023 MotoAmerica Championship

Brake Free An Official Partner Of The 2023 Motoamerica ChampionshipBrake Free’s Patented, Helmet-Mounted Visibility System Detects And Warns Anytime A Motorcyclist Is Slowing Down.

MotoAmerica, North America’s premier motorcycle road racing series, is pleased to announce that Brake Free Technologies has come onboard as an official partner of the 2023 MotoAmerica Championship.

Brake Free is a visibility system that’s affixed to the back of motorcycle helmets to make motorcyclists more visible to others on the road. The system uses a gyro meter plus accelerometer in combination with Brake Free’s patented brake detection algorithm to detect all types of braking. Thus, the system detects anytime the motorcyclist is slowing down whether that’s via braking, engine braking or downshifting.

The Colorado-based company’s mission was to create good-looking, highly functional products for fellow motorcyclists with the premise that motorcycle safety doesn’t have to come at the expense of style. Brake Free’s goal was to produce a safety product that is both functional and stylish and to solve the problem of riders having a smaller footprint on the road with their taillights not detectable for every sort of reduction in speed.

Brake Free’s system, which uses 100 ultra-bright LEDs, is designed to fit on customers’ existing helmets and doesn’t necessitate the purchase of a new helmet. Installation is simple, it’s removable and doesn’t require the use of apps or wires as its brake detection is totally wireless.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Brake Free to our family of official partners for 2023,” said Lance Bryson, MotoAmerica’s Director of Sponsorship. “They’ve really come up with a product that helps make motorcycling safer, and we’re sure it will be a popular product with our motorcycle-riding fans. We’re looking forward to working with Brake Free and to an incredible 2023 season of MotoAmerica racing.”

“Our entire team loves MotoAmerica, and we’re really excited to be a part of it,” said Alex Arkhangelskiy, CEO/Co-Founder of Brake Free Technologies. “We hope that with the help of MotoAmerica more riders will discover Brake Free so we can make the motorcycling community safer and more visible.”

Join KRT and dress for success in 2023

Join Krt And Dress For Success In 20232023 testing for the Kawasaki Racing Team has begun and to signify a new start and a new challenge, the riders and staff of KRT have adopted a brand-new clothing style which will also be available from Kawasaki dealers.

Echoing the colour and graphic treatment of the 2023 Ninja ZX-10R in dealer showrooms, both Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes – plus the entire KRT factory superbike racing family – will sport predominantly black and lime green clothing, as expected, yet with the subtle details and design touches expected of a multiple World Championship winning team.

With garments created and styled for both male and female race fans, there are also some mini items for future champions to show mum, dad and the whole world who they support.

In terms of outer wear – and let’s face it, a little rain must fall sometimes – the water-resistant padded jacket features a detachable hood, zipped inner and outer pockets plus internal sleeve cuff. With taped seams, a horizontal quilted thermal lining, internal stretch cuffs and Kawasaki racing sponsor logo’s this jacket is a must have trackside at wet or cold race events.

Also water-resistant is the padded body warmer. Sharing the same taped seam technology with the padded jacket, it also features a quilted thermal lining, zipped pockets plus Kawasaki racing sponsor logo’s and is available – like all male cut clothing – in a range of sizes from S to 3XL.

No sport or leisure clothing range could be complete without a T shirt and, duly, the 2023 offering includes a short-sleeved crew neck T-shirt in Kawasaki WSBK team-colours resplendent in Kawasaki racing and sponsor logo’s and created from a single knit fabric with a 50/50 Cotton, Polyester mix.

Moving away from the male torso; there are two lower body clothing options available for men in 2023, a long leg Cargo style trouser and Bermuda shorts for those days when legs simply must be on display. Both styles have Zipped front pockets and feature Cargo style leg pockets plus flapped back pocket and sponsor logos. Again, these are available in male cut sizes from S to 3XL.

For women the zipped KRT sweatshirt is going to be one of the most in-demand items sharing its colour way and detailing with the male version but benefiting from a style and cut focused on the female form.  And when the sun makes a welcome appearance, the rounded neck t-shirt is going to be essential wear created in an easy care 50/50 cotton and polyester mix. Like the female cut sweatshirt it is available for 2023 in a size range between S and XL.

Kids are future bikers, so they are not forgotten in the new KRT clothing range with a zipped sweatshirt available displaying a Ninja ZX-10R logo just like the adult apparel plus sponsor logos and the same attention to detail. A partner T shirt for kids is also available and both items are sized according to age in six possibilities from 2 years old to sub-teen 12-year-old fans.

Not forgetting the crowning glory, of course a uni-sex cap is part of the range featuring the KRT “River Mark” emblem plus primary sponsor Monster logo as well as a beanie plus practical and adaptable branded neck tube.

The Kawasaki Racing Team are dressing for success in 2023 and now you can join them and show your true colours with the new range of genuine Kawasaki race team clothing.

Offroad prototype Touratech R 1250 GS RR

Offroad Prototype Touratech R 1250 Gs RrWith the radical prototype R 1250 GS RR, Touratech shows the off-road potential of BMW‘s current boxer GS. Equipped with a 21-inch front wheel, electronic suspension and protector set, the “RR” has already proven itself in demanding terrain

Extremely versatile and really good in all disciplines – with this recipe for success, the current generation of the Boxer-GS has dominated the top class of touring enduros for over 40 years. The Touratech Suspension Team and the developers at Touratech have now been tempted to turn the generalist into a specialist and to exploit the maximum off-road potential of the current GS. The result: the spectacular Touratech R 1250 GS RR.

Off-road without compromise
Indispensable for directional stability in difficult terrain, a 21-inch front wheel forms the heart of this radical off-road conversion. The Touratech team with Lars Würdemann as suspension specialist stored for this a high-strength Excel rim with the original hub. „Since we spoke inwards – as on a Sportenduro – and the nipples had to sit on the rim, we needed special adapters for the hub. That was a lot of work, but the enormous stiffness of the 21-inch front wheel proved us right,“ says Würdemann, describing the challenges.

As suspension elements, Touratech relies on the latest generation of electronic components from the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel EVO range in the extra-long version for the R 1250 GS RR. These special shocks are available for the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure or the R 1250 GS with sports suspension in the same configuration on request for end customers. The premium suspension elements in the touring setup are available immediately from the web store.

Numerous other parts from the extensive Touratech product range round off the off-road prototype. The adjustable shift and foot brake levers allow perfect adaptation to the standing driving style. Folding levers for the front brake and clutch minimize the risk of breakage, and the handlebar fittings are given solid protection by the high-strength aluminium brackets of the Defensa protectors.

To achieve the smallest possible overall width for narrow passages, the off-road pros dispensed the engine guard and instead relied on the Touratech aluminium valve cover protectors. The underside of the Boxer is protected from damage by the „Rally“ engine guard made of hydroformed aluminium.

Proven in practice
After extensive testing by the suspension team and use in scouting the Adventure Country Tracks UK (ACT UK) by Touratech CMO Martin Wickert, Touratech put the R 1250 GS RR in the hands of Kevin Gallas. The hard enduro specialist, who has taken out top placings on numerous extreme enduros and has also successfully conquered the legendary Erzberg, took part in the Transitalia Marathon (TIM) with the conversion.

For the tricky navigation through the mountains of the Apennines, the RR received a navigation tower equipped with roadbook holder, tripmaster and GPS device. Kevin was more than enthusiastic about the performance of the GS conversion: „In the off-road area, the front wheel and the road grip were great to assess, and you had great reserves even at high speeds and jumps, as well as on off-road sections and in stone fields,“ sums up the enduro crack.

Offroad Prototype Touratech R 1250 Gs RrValuable findings for the series
The Touratech R 1250 GS RR will remain an unsellable one-off that will be used at selected events. The experience gained will benefit Touratech customers in the form of the semi-active suspension elements in the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel EVO range and numerous other products available immediately.

Ducati team unveils the liveries for the 2023 WorldSBK season

Ducati Team Unveils The Liveries For The 2023 Worldsbk SeasonThe Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team unveils the liveries for the 2023 WorldSBK season in a spectacular joint presentation with the Ducati Lenovo Team MotoGP.

The beautiful snow-covered Alps of Madonna di Campiglio (TN, Italy) provided the backdrop for the spectacular presentation of the two teams that won everything in last year’s two world motorbike championships.

On one side the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team that dominated in WorldSBK with Alvaro Bautista, on the other the Ducati Lenovo Team that triumphed in MotoGP with Francesco Bagnaia.

The 2023 season will bring exciting challenges also to the champions’ teammates, Michael Rinaldi with his Ducati Panigale V4R and Enea Bastianini with his Ducati Desmosedici GP.

During the unveiling of the four bikes held at Pala Campiglio, the packed audience of authorities, sponsors, and guests witnessed also the surprise of the number 1 on both bikes.

In fact, both the champions will ride in the next Moto GP and WorldSBK campaign with the number one on their Ducati.

Celebration time for the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, however, is already over. Riders and staff will leave Madonna di Campiglio tomorrow morning to travel to Jerez della Frontera where the first tests of the 2023 season will get underway on Wednesday, followed by the Portimao sessions scheduled for 31 January and 1 February. The first race weekend (preceded by two more days of testing) is set for 24-26 February at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia.

Ducati Team Unveils The Liveries For The 2023 Worldsbk SeasonStefano Cecconi (Team Principal Aruba.it Racing – Ducati)
“We have worked hard over the last few years to achieve the result of last season. Winning the title, however, does not represent a point of arrival for us, but rather an extra stimulus to keep on developing and increasing our professionalism and commitment. Therefore, we will start again from the certainties of Alvaro, the desire of Michael, the performance of the Ducati Panigale V4 R and the inestimable human value of the entire team. It will be an unprecedented season for Aruba.it Racing – Ducati: we will probably be considered the team to beat. This means responsibility, concentration, determination but also pride, a sense of belonging and a desire to defend the position we have conquered without ever losing faith in our means, even when the results were not what we hoped for. We have represented Ducati in the Superbike World Championship since 2015 and we want to continue to do so in the best possible way in the 2023 season. That’s why I wish the riders and all the team members the best of luck.”Ducati Team Unveils The Liveries For The 2023 Worldsbk Season

Claudio Domenicali (Amministratore Delegato Ducati Motor Holding)
“Today we live another remarkable moment for Ducati. For the first time in the Company’s history, we are launching together both MotoGP and WorldSBK official teams, the Ducati Lenovo Team and Aruba.it – Racing Ducati team. Resuming all together is a beautiful way to celebrate the value and skills of the best Ducati Corse squad ever, whose everyday work has taken us to the top of the world. After the incredible successes of the past racing season, the challenge of reconfirming ourselves fascinates us. I am happy that it starts from a location like Madonna di Campiglio, a perfect expression of the “Made in Italy” of which we are proud ambassadors. Ducati is a brand distinguished by style, performance and technology, where passion for racing is a central element. Working while having fun is part of our philosophy. It adds value to what we do and allows us to commit even more by managing fatigue better. The beauty and opportunities of the mountains that welcome us are the perfect opportunities to combine the commitments of the presentation event with moments of pure delight to give us the right energy for the start of the season.”Ducati Team Unveils The Liveries For The 2023 Worldsbk Season

Luigi Dall’Igna (Direttore Generale di Ducati Corse)
“2022 has been an incredible year for us. Alvaro and the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team have won everything that could be achieved in the World Superbike Championship bringing back to Bologna the Manufacturers’, Riders’ and Teams’ World Titles that had been missing for so many years. These successes represent a source of motivation for us this year. The goal is not just trying to repeat ourselves but also trying to surpass ourselves. Obviously, it won’t be easy. The level of the production based World Championship increases season by season, as the incredible duels and heated battles from last year demonstrated and 2023 will not be any less! We are ready for another exciting challenge, knowing that we will be able to count once again on the winning combination of reigning World Champion Alvaro Bautista and our Panigale V4 R machine, but also on Michael Ruben Rinaldi in his third season with the factory squad. We can’t wait to start the new season to defend the three World Titles”

Ducati Team Unveils The Liveries For The 2023 Worldsbk SeasonAlvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #19)
“We have a new challenge ahead of us. After a fantastic season in which we won with Ducati in both Superbike and MotoGP, 2023 will inevitably be a difficult year. Racing with the number 1, in fact, means that our objective can only be one: to win. We’ll have a lot of pressure but at the same time we’ll have to keep calm, try to work with high concentration but also with serenity. We’ll have a new bike and even if it won’t be extremely different from the 2022 one, the work that we’ll be able to do before the first race is crucial: we have to fix all the details that will allow us to get the best performance.
I’d also like to address a thought to all the Ducatistas: I’m very proud of all our fans who followed us last season, and I hope that with the result we’ve achieved, in 2023 there will be even more of them supporting us at circuits all over the world. I am a Ducatista and I feel lucky to be able to defend the colours of the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team”.

Ducati Team Unveils The Liveries For The 2023 Worldsbk SeasonMichael Rinaldi (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #21)
“I start this new adventure with great enthusiasm. Together with my team we have always made progress in the last two years, managing to improve our results. As a team we won the three titles last season and this means that the package is very strong. During the winter, we have analyzed the points we have to focus on, in order to improve and to be competitive for the title race. I have worked a lot over the last few weeks and I will continue to do so with great dedication as I want to always be able to express my maximum potential. There will be a lot of new things, also on the bike, so I can’t wait to get started. I want to thank Aruba and Ducati for the opportunity to ride this beautiful Panigale V4 R and be part of such an ambitious team”.

Ducati Lenovo Team unveils 2023 livery at Madonna di Campiglio

Ducati Lenovo Team Unveils 2023 Livery At Madonna Di CampiglioDucati Lenovo Team At the Palacampiglio of Madonna di Campiglio, in the enchanting setting of the snow-capped Dolomites, the livery of the Desmosedici GP bikes with which the Ducati Lenovo Team will take part in the 2023 MotoGP World Championship has been unveiled.

The official Ducati team, which this year celebrates 20 years since its debut in the premier class in 2003, is ready to defend the Constructors’, Teams’ and Riders’ World Titles clinched last year together with reigning World Champion Francesco Bagnaia in his third season with the Borgo Panigale based squad. Enea Bastianini, who finished third in the 2022 World Championship with the Desmosedici GP of the Gresini Racing team, will be alongside him wearing the official Ducati colours for the first time. Everything is set for another exciting season, with the first race out of 21 scheduled to take place in Portimão, Portugal, on 26th March. In addition to the traditional Sunday race, starting this year, a sprint race on Saturday at each Grands Prix will add more excitement to the 2023 MotoGP World Championship.

The presentation, held this morning in front of an affluent audience composed of Ducati’s partners and sponsors, local authorities, members of the national and international press, as well as other important guests, took place during the “Campioni in Pista” event, organized by Ducati in collaboration with the Azienda per il Turismo Madonna di Campiglio, Trentino Marketing and with the participation of partners Lenovo, Aruba.it, Monster Energy, Shell and Audi. As always, the unveiling of the Desmosedici GP 2023 has been the most exciting moment, with Bagnaia and Bastianini unveiling the new livery, which again this year maintains the classic Ducati red colour scheme, enhanced by some carbon details and in a lighter shade of red. Another novelty is that Bagnaia chose the World Champion’s number 1 to ride the entire 2023 season in MotoGP.

Bagnaia’s Desmosedici GP has not been the only Ducati to sport the number 1 on stage. The event was further enriched by the presence of the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, the official Superbike team of the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer, which secured the Riders’, Teams’ and Manufacturers World Titles in the 2022 World Superbike Championship. Also, on the Panigale V4 R of Spanish champion Alvaro Bautista, in his second consecutive year with Ducati, the number 1 stands out. Michael Ruben Rinaldi will continue to ride alongside him for the third consecutive season as an official Ducati rider in WorldSBK.

Luigi Dall’Igna (Ducati Corse General Manager)
“The start of a new season is always exciting, and this year, even more following a 2022 destined to remain in history. Replicating last year’s results will be challenging, but our goal is always to surpass ourselves and constantly improve. In MotoGP, in addition to World Champion Pecco Bagnaia, we will also be able to count on Enea Bastianini, third in the World Championship last year with Ducati team Gresini Racing. We are convinced that both our riders will be, again this year, among the protagonists of the Championship. For sure, the competition will be even higher. There are many strong riders on the grid, and the other manufacturers will certainly have worked hard during the winter. However, we have not been outdone, so we look forward to starting this new season and defending the three titles we won last year.”

Luca Rossi (President of Intelligent Devices Group at Lenovo)
“After an extremely successful year, we’re thrilled to kick off this new season together. We are proud of all that we’ve achieved over the past five years, since the beginning of our technology partnership with Ducati, and we are excited to continue working together to lead innovation and constantly improve on-track performance. Technology plays a crucial role in the challenging world of motorsports. From real-time data analysis, artificial intelligence, and simulations to smart collaboration and augmented reality, Lenovo is working closely with Ducati to unleash the value of digital transformation and achieve even better results. Building on our common values of speed, dedication, team spirit and a focus on results, we’ll continue moving forward toward a faster, safer, and more exciting sport.”

Ducati Lenovo Team Unveils 2023 Livery At Madonna Di CampiglioFrancesco Bagnaia (#1, Ducati Lenovo Team)
“My winter break was shorter than usual because of all the commitments after winning the World Championship, but now I am charged up and eager to start the season. I have missed the Desmosedici GP and my team, and I can’t wait to get back on track. I could not decide whether to continue using the number 63 or switch to the number 1, and in the end, I decided on the latter. Seeing it on the bike is beautiful, and now my goal will be to do everything to keep it. It won’t be easy because I expect even tougher competition than last year, with many rivals ready to fight for the title: however, I am aware that I have the best bike and team to aim high again in 2023. Thanks again to all of Ducati and my team! I am ready to resume our adventure together.”

“Wearing the colours of the official team is a great emotion, and now it is up to me to prove that I deserve this opportunity. I am excited about the new season! Fortunately, I won’t have to wait long to be able to ride my red Desmosedici GP bike on track. In a couple of weeks, we will be in Sepang for the first test of the year, and it will be a crucial moment to get to know the guys in the team better and, above all, to start working on the bike. It’s going to be a very competitive year, and there will definitely be easy and more difficult moments to face, but I’m ready for anything! Thanks again to Claudio, Gigi, Paolo, Davide and the whole Ducati! I will give 100% as always.”Ducati Lenovo Team Unveils 2023 Livery At Madonna Di Campiglio

Classic Dirt Bike Show Hosts Four Decades Of Stunning Bikes

Classic Dirt Bike Show Hosts Four Decades Of Stunning BikesAn eclectic mix of title-winning bikes covering four decades will be displayed at The Classic Dirt Bike Show sponsored by Hagon Shocks on February 11-12.

Representing the 1950s is Jeff Smith’s 1953 BSA Gold Star on which he won the 1955 Scottish Six Days Trial. The machine is very easily recognisable – the BSA factory competition department drilled hundreds of different sized holes in it, giving the bike its name: Smith’s Woodpecker Goldie. Jeff won the 1954 Victory Trial on this bike in a rigid format before changing to swinging arm mode in mid-1954, after which he won many trade-supported nationals in 1955.

The 1960s is represented by another famous BSA on which Scott Ellis, the Studley Midlands engineer, somewhat surprisingly won the 1965 British Experts Trial in one of the hardest ever UK trials events. Battered by snow and bitterly cold winds, Scott beat Sammy Miller by two points – 64 to 66 – in a winter Birmingham MCC thriller. Scott’s machine was highly modified, not having the usual engine cradle, having oil in the frame and a special light alloy cylinder. The cream of Britain’s trials riders had to play second fiddle to the 24-year-old who secured his triumph at the infamous and previously unconquered Bongham Alley sections in Wales. Tackling the bike’s reconstruction is the experienced Colin Dommett. It’s been stripped entirely since 1971 and will be displayed for the first time ever at next month’s show at Telford International Centre, which Colin and Scott both plan to attend.

In the 1970s, ‘Magical’ Mick Andrews was truly the Monarch of the Glen, winning the Scottish Six Days on five occasions. French super-enthusiast, Olivier Barjon, will take Mick’s famous ‘cantilever’ 1974 Scottish winning Yamaha to the show. It was the first time that a cantilever or monoshock machine had won a major event. Mick hasn’t seen the bike for 39 years and will attend the show for a nostalgic look at his old steed, which has been impounded in the French Yamaha importer Sonauto’s headquarters for most of that time. Mick won the 1974 event, beating trials supremo Malcolm Rathmell into second place.

In the 1980s, Telford guest Dave Thorpe was the king, winning the Motocross World Title three times in 1984, 86 and 89. He also took eight British Championships and the World Veterans crown. All his world titles were on a Honda machine, and two of them are still in the UK so Dave hopes to secure the 1986 bike to display at the show. Dave’s first two titles were gained in dramatic fashion at the Wohlen circuit in Switzerland each time from Belgian superstar Andrew Malherbe. For the title chase in 1989, the much-missed Eric Geboers was forced to play second fiddle to the powerful Brit. Since retirement, Dave has secured major success as the UK team manager for the 1994 Motocross Nations, guiding the British team to its first success for decades. These days, Dave works in an ambassadorial/promotional role for Honda, while also running Honda’s off-road training at all levels. He also still finds time to run the Honda factory’s World Motocross team. Thorpe’s career highs and lows will be revealed to visitors as commentator John McCrink quizzes the motocross star when they take to the stage at Telford.
