Approaching its sixtieth anniversary—the first model launched in 1967—the Moto Guzzi V7 remains the purest embodiment of Moto Guzzi DNA: an authentic motorcycle full of character. This Italian masterpiece continues to evolve while staying true to its heritage.
Since its rebirth in 2008, the Moto Guzzi V7 has followed a consistent evolutionary path, building increasing appreciation among a broad, diverse audience. After a significant update in 2021 introducing the 850cc engine, the 2025 Moto Guzzi V7 range offers notable styling and technical enhancements and welcomes back a legendary name. Alongside the well-known V7 Stone and V7 Special, the new Moto Guzzi V7 Sport debuts as the most technologically advanced V7 to date.
The iconic air-cooled transverse V-twin engine with shaft drive—a unique configuration worldwide—embraces the new Euro 5+ regulations and has undergone significant improvements, including adopting multi-map Ride-by-Wire throttle control. This innovation allows for more precise, customisable power delivery and includes Cruise Control as standard. Power has increased by 4%, but above all, a much stronger and smoother torque curve delivers immediately noticeable benefits across all conditions.
The new Moto Guzzi V7 Sport combines iconic styling with modern technological innovation. As the most dynamic and advanced V7 ever produced, it features new USD forks, dual front disc brakes, a dedicated Sport riding mode, and an inertial platform for enhanced traction control and Cornering ABS functionality.
A unique style, perfected in every detail
The V7’s stylistic balance is a masterful blend of Moto Guzzi heritage and contemporary motorcycle technology, further refined with details that emphasise its clean, essential lines and enhance the perception of high-quality construction.
The 21-litre metal fuel tank, the largest in its class, showcases the cylinder heads of the sculptural 90° V-twin. New side panel designs, a shorter rear mudguard, and a more aggressive exhaust configuration give the V7 a sleeker, dynamic look.
Attention to detail extends to features like the new, ergonomically shaped ignition key with the stylised ‘eagle’ logo.
While the V7 Special stays true to the spirit of the original model with an elegant, chrome-rich appearance, it now includes a full LED lighting system—replacing the analogue instrument cluster and halogen headlamp—and features a DRL that defines the shape of the Moto Guzzi eagle, as well as the digital instrument cluster previously seen on the V7 Stone.
Operated by convenient new switch cubes the single round LCD instrument cluster, standard across all models, has updated graphics and additional features, such as the selected riding mode and speed setting via Cruise Control. The V7 Sport also includes a fuel level indicator.
Thus, each version speaks the same design language while maintaining its unique personality. This is evident in the new V7 Sport, which stands out for its many specific features and dedicated finishes, including newly designed sporty lightweight alloy wheels, aluminium headlight brackets, bar-end mirrors, handlebar top clamp, aluminium inserts on the side panels, and a sports seat with red stitching.
The most powerful and efficient engine in V7 history
There are many twin-cylinder engines in the world, but only one transverse V-twin: the Moto Guzzi twin, created in 1967 by the visionary mind of engineer Giulio Cesare Carcano. Its unique cylinder configuration makes it an integral part of the motorcycle’s design, akin to an authentic piece of contemporary art.
The architecture remains iconic: a 90° transverse V-twin, air-cooled, with pushrod and rocker arm distribution and two valves per cylinder—a proud tradition at Mandello. The displacement is 853 cc, and the bore and stroke ratio is 84 x 77 mm.
Compliant with the new Euro 5+ standards, the most powerful and efficient engine in the model’s history is at the heart of the new V7 range. Maximum power has increased by 4%, from 65 hp at 6,800 rpm to 67.3 hp at 6,900 rpm. More significantly, torque has grown from 73 Nm at 5,000 rpm to 79 Nm at 4,400 rpm, with 95% of torque available at 3,500 rpm. This translates to much more flexible performance, especially at low and medium revs, enhancing comfort and riding pleasure for daily commuting and adding excitement for more dynamic riding.
The engine control debuts electronic Ride-by-Wire multi-map control with a single 52 mm throttle body, replacing the traditional cable throttle. This system enables precise throttle opening, optimising overall efficiency and fuel consumption, while Ride-by-Wire allows for convenient electronic management of parameters—such as MGCT traction control and throttle response—through riding modes. ROAD and RAIN riding modes are available across all models, while the SPORT mode has been developed specifically for the V7 Sport.
The adoption of Ride-by-Wire has also permitted the use of more aggressive valve lift profiles, boosting performance.
Further enhancements include a 27% increase in airbox volume and improved piston cooling, achieved through an enhanced oil jet system that contributes to the engine’s high reliability, even with its increased performance levels. The exhaust system has also been optimised for smoother torque delivery, featuring a third lambda sensor to meet the new Euro 5+ requirements.
Other outstanding engine features, such as the valve system with roller tappets, aluminium pushrods for the rocker arms, and lightweight pistons with 20 mm diameter pins, remain unchanged. The Moto Guzzi small block is also fuel efficient, with minimal power-draining components (its pushrod and rocker arm distribution system is one of the most efficient at minimising power loss) and has no cooling pump or long timing chains or belts.
The dry clutch incorporates a reinforced disc beneath the clutch plate and a high-performance clutch disc; a triple-slot synchronisation system reduces engagement noise and transmission play, especially in first gear. The final drive features a generously sized, double-jointed offset driveshaft with a robust bevel gear, ensuring durability and reliability in handling the twin-engine’s powerful torque output.
Complete electronics for easy, fun and safe riding
The new Moto Guzzi V7 offers an even more extensive suite of electronic features to enhance the rider’s experience in daily use, touring, and dynamic riding. The Ride-by-Wire throttle offers the advantage of Riding Modes, designed to make the riding experience easier and safer.
Each riding mode includes specific calibrations for MGCT (Moto Guzzi Traction Control, which can be disabled) and tailored throttle responses. The ABS is a two-channel Continental system, permanently active on both wheels.
The rider simply chooses their preferred mode, confident that Moto Guzzi has fine-tuned each Riding Mode to optimal electronic settings.
The following two riding modes are available for the V7 Stone and V7 Special:
ROAD: designed for smooth, enjoyable riding. It provides moderate MGCT traction control and a progressive throttle response.
RAIN: ideal for reduced traction on wet surfaces, allowing you to ride with maximum safety. This mode features the highest level of traction control and a gentler throttle response.
However, on the V7 Sport, electronics take a significant leap forward by adopting a six-axis inertial platform. Using internal accelerometers and gyroscopes, the system detects the motorcycle’s position relative to the road, recording and processing riding inputs and sending data to the ECU. This enables even finer and more precise management of the electronic controls, activating the Cornering ABS and Cornering Traction Control functions. These functions can modulate braking power and engine output based on the lean angle, enhancing safety and performance.
Specifically developed for the V7 Sport, the additional SPORT riding mode offers minimal traction control intervention, designed to enhance thrilling rides on dry asphalt with added safety. It also includes an engine map with a more responsive and dynamic throttle feel. The cornering-optimised ABS is active on both wheels.
All V7 models come with Cruise Control as standard, allowing the rider to maintain a set speed. Activating the system is as simple as pressing and holding the designated button on the left switch cube.
A chassis dedicated to riding pleasure, further enhanced for the V7 Sport
Moto Guzzi’s expertise in designing superbly engineered chassis is legendary. The V7’s enjoyable handling has a long heritage: in 1970, the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) selected the V7 Police, demonstrating the brand’s mastery of motorcycle dynamics even overseas.
The steel frame retains its classic double cradle design, with detachable sections and the distinctive weight distribution that has become a hallmark of this model in recent years. The already successful saddle-handlebar-footpeg triangulation remains unchanged, ensuring comfort for riders of all sizes, thanks to the low saddle and well-positioned aluminium footpegs.
For suspension, the V7 Stone and V7 Special retain the traditional 40 mm telescopic fork, while the V7 Sport introduces a new preload adjustable 41 mm USD fork, underscoring this model’s focus on sportier, more dynamic riding. Lightweight alloy spoked wheels complement this. Unique to the V7 Sport and 1.8 kg lighter than those on the V7 Stone, they enhance handling.
The generously sized, preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers ensure a comfortable ride, even on uneven surfaces. They offer a progressive and controlled response in all conditions, including with a passenger on board.
The new V7 Sport also introduces an enhanced braking system for consistently strong braking performance, even during dynamic riding. The front features dual 320 mm floating stainless steel discs paired with Brembo monobloc radial-mount 4-piston calipers, all controlled by a more responsive master cylinder.
The braking system on the V7 Stone and V7 Special remains unchanged. It features a single 320 mm front disc with a four-piston Brembo caliper, providing reliable, modulated braking in any situation. All models include a 260 mm rear disc with a two-piston caliper.
Versions and colours
Moto Guzzi V7 Stone
The V7 Stone is the most eclectic and minimalist version of the Mandello ‘eight and a half’. True to recent tradition, it features no chrome details, instead embracing the darkness of matte black paint paired with a saddle equipped with a passenger strap.
A new logo on the side panels complements the six-spoke cast wheels.
The V7 Stone is available in two striking satin finishes: Nero Ruvido and Blu Profondo.
Moto Guzzi V7 Special
The V7 Special is closest to the spirit of the original model. It is classic and elegant, with many chrome details, and comes in two striking glossy finishes: Nero Smeraldo and Bianco 1969. Yamaha Motor Europe (YME) is pleased to announce its line-up for the 2025 FIM Supersport World Championship, featuring three supported teams campaigning the all-new R9 WorldSSP machine.
Stefano Manzi will spearhead Yamaha’s assault on the 2025 FIM Supersport World Championship, racing once again for the Pata Yamaha Ten Kate team with whom he has twice finished as vice-champion in the immediate class. The Italian will be joined by Japan’s Yuki Okamoto, who steps up to the world championship after an impressive season in the All Japan Road Racing Championship saw him win the JSB1000 title.
Five-time WorldSBK race winner Michael Ruben Rinaldi will race with Christophe Guyot’s GMT94 Yamaha as he makes his debut in the Supersport class. He’ll join former FIM Supersport World Champion Lucas Mahias in GMT94’s 2025 line-up.
Twice world champions for Yamaha, the Evan Bros team will take on a new-look for 2025, becoming part of Yamaha’s bLU cRU program to introduce young riders to WorldSSP. 21-year-old Can Öncü, a former Red Bull Rookies Cup champion, joins the new team as he looks to build on a WorldSSP career that’s seen him achieve a race victory and 14 further podiums.
Öncü will be joined in the Evan Bros team by reigning FIM Supersport 300 World Champion, 18-year-old Aldi Satya Mahendra. This is a clear example of Yamaha’s step-up philosophy, which has seen Mahendra progress from the R3 bLU cRU World Cup, to WorldSSP300 and now to WorldSSP, and Okamoto promoted onto the world stage after winning the JSB1000 title this season.
Launched by Yamaha Motor earlier this year, the R9 represents a new generation of Supersport motorcycle powered by Yamaha’s award-winning 890cc three-cylinder engine. Engineers at Yamaha Motor Racing Europe (YMRE) have been working on developing the R9 for Next Generation WorldSSP rules for over a year with the project unveiled at the final round of the 2024 season at Jerez.
The R9 will make its race debut in the WorldSSP Championship, while Yamaha Motor Europe works alongside its teams and riders to develop the package before releasing a race kit for national championships ahead of the 2026 season.
The new WorldSSP line-up will get their first real taste of the R9 WorldSSP in a shakedown test at Cremona between 7-8 November, before the teams then embark on their own winter testing schedule ahead of the opening round of 2025, set to take place at Phillip Island, Australia between 21-23 February.
Andrea Dosoli, Division Manager, Motorsport Division, Yamaha Motor Europe
“We are pleased to announce our new line-up for the 2025 Supersport World Championship, which marks a new approach for us in the Supersport category. The R9 is a very important new model, so to have such a strong line-up in our first year is important. We believe this is the best strategy for us to launch this new era of Supersport for Yamaha. Not only does having a diverse line-up, comprising a mix of experience and youth, give us the greatest chance of achieving the best results possible for the R9 in its first year of competition, but it also means we have significant input for the development of this brand new model, which is important as we prepare to roll out the race kit for national championships ahead of the 2026 season. The global role of our WorldSBK programme is also emphasised by the support from YMC in the signing of Aldi Mahendra and Yuki Okamoto, two promising young riders who have risen through the ranks with Yamaha.”
Niccolò Canepa, Road Racing Sporting Manager, Motorsport Division, Yamaha Motor Europe
“Bringing a brand-new motorcycle to the racetrack is a big task and we needed a rider line-up to reflect the efforts put in by the engineers in our R&D department over the last year. In our 2025 riders we believe we have a line-up that not only puts us in the best position to maximise the R9’s potential in its first year of racing, but also exemplifies Yamaha’s racing philosophy. In Manzi, we have a rider who is a proven Supersport contender having finished runner-up in the world for Yamaha in 2023 and 2024. The R9 is a completely different motorcycle to the R6 and will need to be ridden in a different way, from our tests we know the machine’s torque will require more of a ‘big bike’ riding style, it’s for this reason we have included Michael Ruben Rinaldi, a rider with race-winning WorldSBK experience in our line-up. Can Öncü is a young rider with a lot of potential, so we are pleased to have brought him to Yamaha for 2025 as he looks to make the ‘next step’ as a WorldSSP contender in the new bLU cRU Evan Bros team.
“The promotion of Aldi Satya Mahendra and Yuki Okamoto reflects Yamaha’s step-up philosophy, with Aldi progressing from the R3 World Cup to WorldSSP300 and now WorldSSP, and Yuki making the move after winning JSB1000 this season.
“All three of our supported teams for 2025 are proven WorldSSP contenders. The Ten Kate name speaks for itself in the WorldSSP history books and team’s achievements with Manzi in the last two seasons, and Dominique Aegerter before that, show their level. Evan Bros Racing have also brought Yamaha two WorldSSP championships in their time on the world stage, while GMT94 are one of the most experienced Supersport teams on the grid.
“We are confident that with this rider and team line-up, we can look to unlock the R9’s potential in WorldSSP while the R&D team continue work to develop the package even further.”
Honda has a second EV in its range for 25YM. The CUV e: is a serious scooter for the modern commuter. Using dual Honda Mobile Power Pack e: units to power its 6kW E-Drive side motor it has a top speed of 83km with over 70km range (Honda internal tests), and Reverse Assist function. Charge time is 6 hours from 0-100% and only 3 hours from 0-75%; the bespoke charging dock allows customers to charge in the comfort of their own home. The CUV e: is also equipped with a five-inch TFT screen, or with a fully connected seven-inch TFT display – rich with EV specific information as well as navigation and other features, as part of the new Honda RoadSync Duo interface. Other features include full LED lighting, USB-C socket and under seat storage plus Smart Key operation.
1. Introduction
Following the arrival of the EM1 e: electric moped for 23 year model, the CUV e: is Honda’s second two-wheeled electric vehicle for customers in Europe. It is another step forward in Honda’s plan to introduce 10 or more electric two wheelers globally by 2025, and towards its longer term aim of carbon neutrality for its motorcycle line-up during the 2040s.
The letters CUV have, in fact, appeared on a Honda vehicle before – 30 years ago, to be precise. The original CUV ES – Clean Urban Vehicle Electric Scooter – was a Japanese-market only model, launched in 1994. The CUV e: is a Clean Urban Vehicle ready for right now.
And, where the EM1 e: is perfect for laps to college and back, the CUV e: has significantly more ‘grown up’ potential, with silky smooth acceleration and top speed very similar to a 125cc Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) scooter.
With local legislation around parking in cities across Europe altering the parameters of ICE usage, the urban mobility landscape is changing – and the CUV e: is the perfect vehicle with which to attract those early-adopter commuters, looking to trade in their traditional scooter, or indeed try life on two wheels for the first time.
Smartly styled, fully equipped – and fully connected – the CUV e: is ahead of the curve. It’s obviously an EV but, at the same time, a full-size Honda scooter loaded with all the practicality and convenience that means.
2. Model Overview
Dual, swappable 48V/1.3kW Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries are at the heart of the CUV e: and provide power for the 6kW E-Drive side motor. Top speed is 83km/h with range of over 70km* and Reverse Assist helps with parking in and out of tight spaces. Three riding modes – SPORT, STANDARD and ECON – deliver full, balanced or ‘softer’ performance which, of course, has a bearing on range.
The sleek, modern design is uncomplicated and features a flat floor. All lighting is premium LED. There’s a small inner pocket in the fairing, space under the seat for waterproofs and a USB-C charging socket. A five-inch TFT is standard on base models, whilst Roadsync Duo models feature a fully connected seven-inch TFT provides navigation plus many other functions, as well as EV-specific information with regards to route and charging options. Motorcycle operation is via convenient Smart Key.
A steel underbone frame, 31mm telescopic forks and twin rear shocks comprise the chassis, with 12-inch wheels and disc/drum braking. A rear carrier is included in the specification.
As with the EM1 e:, the CUV e: together with the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: and charger customers will be available based on a lease, rental, purchase or subscription scheme, depending on the country.
Genuine Honda Accessories available include Smart Key/conventional Top Boxes, Screen and Knuckle Guards.
The 25YM CUV e: will be available in the following colour options:
Pearl Jubilee White
Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic
Premium Silver Metallic
3. Key Features 3.1 Battery & Charger
An E-Drive (up to 6 kW) side motor turns the rear wheel via low-maintenance gear drive. The CUV e: is powered by a pair of 48V Honda Mobile Power Pack e: – the EM1 e: uses one – lithium ion units developed in-house by Honda with the same relentless focus on durability, reliability and quality for which its internal combustion engines have long been known.
And using dual power packs equals brisk acceleration and a useful top speed of 83km/h. Three riding modes are available for a wide range of scenarios.
STANDARD mode: Delivers output characteristic anyone can handle at ease. For riding well-balanced between output and full battery range.
SPORT mode: The most powerful mode for experiencing stronger acceleration and good throttle responses unique to an EV.
ECON mode: Produces more moderate and easy-to-handle characteristic. For a longer full battery range than the other modes.
(*Honda internal tests, in WMTC mode, have resulted in a cruising range of 80.7km).
The CUV e: can also climb a 13° gradient, from a standing start with pillion and 30kg luggage. Reverse Assist makes getting in or out of a garage space straightforward and helps manoeuvring into tight parking spaces in town.
Honda Mobile Power Pack e: are swappable units and can be easily removed from the CUV e: for charging in the comfort of home. Operation is simple: the charger, complete with air-cooling fan, draws from a single phase AC100-240V domestic source and produces 270W maximum.
LED indicators show charging status in 4 segments. The Honda Mobile Power Pack e: itself weighs approximately 10kg and can be easily carried and replaced thanks to an easy-to-hold handle. It is designed to withstand different temperatures, humidity levels, impacts and vibrations.
From zero to maximum, charging time is approximately 6 hours; to 75% only 3 hours are needed. Honda’s famed durability means that the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: can be charged over 2,500 times (internal testing conditions).
3.2 Styling & Equipment
A Honda scooter through and through – but also an EV. The CUV e: has a smart, simple design that marks out its modernity and difference thanks to a classical silhouette punctuated with details that are right up to date. Full LED lighting is a premium touch, but practicality has not been forgotten; the flat floor space (210mm deep) offers easy on/off access and additional carrying capacity.
There’s a handy inner pocket in the front fairing, USB-C socket and storage room for waterproofs under the seat. A rear carrier/passenger grab rail is also standard equipment.
The five-inch TFT display has been designed just for the CUV e: and is standard on the entry level model. For the higher grade model, the seven-inch screen provides a rich, engaging experience while riding – with minimal distraction – and delivers turn-by-turn EV specific route planning, music and calls.
And, to take stress out of a journey, the new Honda RoadSync Duo interface also provides smart weather forecasting, info on nearby charging stations, safety alerts, anti-theft and real time tracking.
A feature drawn from Honda’s premium scooter range is Smart Key operation; all the rider need do is put the Smart Key in a pocket and go.
3.3 Chassis
The CUV e: is designed to be light, agile and easy to handle by all riders – from complete novices right on up – something Honda has vast experience with. Seat height is a very manageable 766mm, with floor height of 270mm. A simple steel underbone mainframe provides core strength.
Wheelbase is set at 1310mm, with rake and trail of 26°/ 79mm; overall dimensions are similar to an SH Mode 125. The turning radius is a traffic-busting 1.9m and there’s 210mm ground clearance. Service weight is 120kg.
31mm telescopic forks are matched to twin rear shock absorbers. Wheels are 12-inch front and rear. Braking is via front 190mm disc/single-piston caliper and 110mm rear drum, linked by Combined Braking System (CBS). When the rear brake is activated, CBS distributes braking power to the front caliper.
3.4 Honda RoadSync Duo®
Honda RoadSync Duo® is a groundbreaking service that makes its European debut on the CUV e:. Seamlessly connecting your vehicle and smartphone via Bluetooth, the system allows users to use navigation, hands-free calls, and music playback. With intuitive operation via the left handlebar switch, users can remain focused on the road.
The navigation feature eliminates concerns about travelling on an electric motorcycle by calculating whether the remaining battery is sufficient to reach the end destination and provides optimal route guidance if the journey is possible.
Additionally, hands-free calls and music playback are managed smoothly, with the display showing the caller’s name, song title, and artist, offering even greater convenience.
Furthermore, depending on the vehicle’s riding mode (Standard, Eco, Sport), the color of the TFT display changes, enhancing the riding experience with a more engaging display.
The most significant advantage of Honda RoadSync Duo® is that it continues to evolve even after purchase. Through OTA software updates, riders will always have access to the latest features.

With the next episode of its 2025 World Première, Ducati inaugurates a new era for its twin-cylinder bikes, unveiling the new Panigale and Streetfighter V2, the first bikes in the range to feature the new Ducati V2.
The new Panigale V2 and the new Streetfighter V2 are the lightest ever. Two high-performance and fun bikes both on the track and on the road, thanks to Ducati sportbike DNA and a completely new design approach revolving around the Ducati V2 engine, a new benchmark for compactness and lightness among Borgo Panigale twin-cylinders.
Panigale V2
The Ducati Panigale V2 marks an epochal transition in the history of Borgo Panigale twin-cylinder sportbikes, because for the first time it has been designed starting from a blank sheet of paper, and not simply adopting the engine with a reduced displacement. It is a bike that picks up the tradition of iconic models such as the 748, the 848 and the 959, of which it maintains the sporty feeling, but adds an easy-to-ride character and enjoyment on the road.
The new twin-cylinder Panigale is a completely redesigned bike, which also thanks to the new Ducati 90° V2 engine and the monocoque frame (weighing just 4 kg), becomes the lightest Panigale ever: in fact, it is 15 kg less than the previous model in the V2 S version.
Lightness, intuitiveness, reduced physical and psychological effort, a generous power delivery curve at low revs with a sporty extension at high revs, a style and technical equipment worthy of a true Ducati: these are the main characteristics of the new Panigale V2.Family Feeling
The design of the Panigale V2 is inspired by that of the Panigale V4, defining a sportbike with a determined yet elegant character, with the typical taut and clean lines of Ducati grafted onto the neat and sophisticated surfaces of its fairing. Inside the side of the latter, a passive ventilation system channels fresh air towards the rider and moves the hot air from the radiator away, thus ensuring greater thermal comfort, essential for fully enjoying the bike when riding on the road.
The front is characterised by a clear reference to the Panigale V4. In fact, it features the Full-LED headlight with double DRL that gives it the same assertive and decisive “look”, and is framed by painted surfaces also on the lower part, one of the new stylistic features of the Panigale family. The design of the tank, studied in terms of size and surfaces to support the rider in sporty riding, also recalls that of the Panigale V4, adapted to the new mechanical base and the different ergonomic triangle. The latter has been defined with the aim of reducing the load on the wrists while maintaining an excellent feeling on the front when cornering.
The rear has also received a styling treatment inspired by its “big sister” and seamlessly merges with the tank, creating a monolithic effect clearly inspired by the 916. The full-LED taillight is divided into two parts, in keeping with the tradition of Ducati sportbikes. The exhaust, which ends with two silencers positioned under the seat, harks back to the Panigale’s racing tradition, underlining the sporty soul of the bike.
The design of the new spoked wheels with a “Y” profile is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Marchesini three-spoke look. The black colour creates a contrasting effect with the full Ducati Red livery.Sportbike performance on the track and sheer riding pleasure on the road
During development tests on the track, the new Panigale V2 provided performance levels in line with those of the previous model. This is all thanks to the 15 kg weight reduction, a light and modern chassis, new ergonomics, an engine equipped with plenty of torque and an ease of riding unfamiliar to the previous V2. On the new Panigale V2 the rider feels at ease from the very first corner and, thanks to a reduced physical effort required in riding, can more easily reach the limit and maintain it throughout the session.
On the road, however, the new Panigale V2 proves to be the easiest and most enjoyable Ducati sportbike ever. Thanks to a riding position that is less loaded on the front, the ease of riding and the thermal comfort that allows you to fully enjoy the bike. Furthermore, the new Ducati V2 engine is perfectly capable of providing great emotion between one curve and another, making the Panigale V2 a truly enjoyable bike.
Streetfighter V2
Ducati has applied the Fight Formula to the lightest Panigale ever to create the lightest Streetfighter ever: an exhilarating naked bike on the road and a high-performance one on the circuit. The formula is simple: 890 cc engine, Panigale V2 chassis, 175 kg of weight, wide and high handlebars, and no fairing to act as a filter between the rider and riding emotions.
The new V2 is the lightest Streetfighter ever created by Ducati (-18 kg compared to the previous model) thanks to a chassis based on the very light monocoque frame and the new 90° V2 engine. A bike that is therefore nimble and at the same time stable and rigorous at high speeds, as high-performance as the previous one between the kerbs of a track but significantly more enjoyable and fun on the road and in everyday use.
More intuitive to ride, lively and exciting thanks to the V2’s lightness and torque, capable of giving the rider a great feeling from very first contact, the new Streetfighter is as faithful as ever to the spirit of the original.Unmistakably Streetfighter
The design of the new V2 confirms the typical stylistic features of the Streetfighter family, eliminating the fairing and thus highlighting the mechanical base of the supersport bike from which it derives. The masses are thus concentrated on the front, transmitting an image of attitude and dynamism and underlining the compactness of the new V2 engine. The “look” of the front, sharp and adrenaline-filled, created by the Full-LED headlight unit and the DRL, is therefore immediately recognisable.
The fuel tank, the fully faired seat/tail unit and the light alloy wheels are the same as those of the Panigale V2. A solution that enhances the sporty spirit of the Streetfighter V2, maintaining the references to the Ducati racing tradition.New V2 engine
The Panigale V2 and the Streetfighter V2 mount the new 90° V2 engine with variable timing for the intake valves, Euro5+ homologated, 890 cc and 120 hp. Its weight of just 54.5 kg (-9.4 kg compared to the Superquadro it replaces) makes it the lightest twin-cylinder ever produced by Ducati, and its torque curve, with 70% of the maximum value already available at 3,000 rpm, ensures that riding is always exciting, even on the road. When using the new V2s on the track, it will be possible to mount a racing exhaust, which increases the maximum power to 126 hp, with a weight reduction of 4.5 kg.
All this makes both the Panigale and the Streetfighter V2 enjoyable and fun bikes for sports riding, especially thanks to a weight of just 176 and 175 kg respectively (in running order without fuel). Values that combined with the power of 120 hp determine for both a power/weight ratio of 0.69 hp/kg. For the Panigale and Streetfighter V2 there are 3 Power Modes available: High, Medium and Low, at 95 hp. Furthermore, both bikes are available in a 35 kW version. All the details on the new engine are available in the press kit.
Benchmark chassis
The frame of the new V2 is a light and efficient monocoque, which uses the engine as a stressed element. The double-sided swingarm is inspired in design by the Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm of the Panigale V4 and offers the same benefits in terms of stability when exiting corners and feeling when riding on the track, where it allows the rider to make the most of modern slick tyres.
The suspensions are fully adjustable, to allow the rider to personalise the set-up of the new Ducati sportbike. The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with Marzocchi forks and Kayaba shock absorbers, while the V2 S versions offer their rider Öhlins forks and shock absorbers, as well as a lithium-ion battery that reduces weight.
To maintain stability when cornering and at speed without a fairing, the Streetfighter V2 features a swingarm that is 30 mm longer than the Panigale V2 and a Sachs steering damper as standard.
The new cast wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres in 120/70 and 190/55 sizes, which combine handling and contact patch, enhancing the sporty qualities of the two models. The Brembo front braking system consists of two 320 mm discs and M50 monobloc calipers, offering power for track use and modulation for road use.
Benchmark electronics
The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with a six-axis IMU inertial platform, thus supporting a complete and effective electronics package, to increase safety in road use and performance on the track. The electronics package includes sports ABS Cornering with slide-by-brake functionality, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control and the new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, the same system used on the Panigale V4, standard on both versions. The S versions are also equipped with Ducati Power Launch and Pit Limiter as standard.
The rider can instantly change the bike’s behaviour by choosing between 4 Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Road, Wet) that offer pre-set intervention levels, which can be modified by the user, for all the controls and engine response. In this way, with the simple press of a button it is possible to adapt the Panigale and Streetfighter V2 to the rider’s preferences and the various riding situations.
The dashboard is a new 5″ TFT with a user interface based on Infomode conceptually derived from that of the new Panigale V4. The three views – Road, Road Pro and Track – are designed to allow the rider to concentrate on riding, highlighting the most relevant information for each context with a rational and complete display.
The rider interface has been streamlined, integrating the information as much as possible in order to reduce its density and therefore improve readability. The rev counter, for example, also acts as a gear shift indicator, lighting up green at the ideal rpm to shift up, and red when over-revving is reached.
Accessories
A variety of accessories are available for the new Panigale and Streetfighter V2 to increase their performance on the track or make them more versatile for road use. A dedicated track package is also available for the Panigale, consisting of a racing exhaust and lower fairing, Öhlins steering damper, adjustable footpegs with carbon heel guards and lowered handlebars, clutch and generator covers, and caps for mirror and license plate removal. Obviously, each accessory can be purchased individually.
The Lap Timer Pro self-timing system, using the Track Infomode, displays lap times, split times, and improvements in the rider’s performance in real time.
Those who wish to enjoy the new V2s to the fullest on the road can install Cruise control, Turn-by-turn navigator, a USB power socket to power a smartphone or a TPMS tyre pressure sensor. All the accessories are visible on the new Ducati configurator.
Availability and colours
The new Panigale will arrive in dealerships in the V2 and V2 S versions at the end of January 2025, in Ducati Red livery only, while the new Streetfighter V2 will be available from the end of March 2025. The Panigale and Streetfighter V2 will be offered in a two-seater configuration, while the V2 S versions will be available in a single-seater configuration with a passenger kit offered as an accessory. All can also be purchased in a 35 kW version for motorcyclists with an A2 license.

The PBM Racing Team and Glenn Irwin have signed a new two-year agreement as they bid for Bennetts British Superbike Championship title success in 2025 and 2026.
The team return next season hunting an unprecedented tenth title whilst Irwin will be fighting for a career first crown as he bids to become the first Bennetts British Superbike Champion from Northern Ireland.
In the past two seasons, Irwin has been in the title fight with PBM until the last day of the season, coming closest in 2023 when he missed out in the final standings by just half a point. This year, Irwin celebrated eight race wins and a total of ten podium finishes onboard the Hager PBM Ducati and is determined to achieve his career goal of becoming Bennetts British Superbike Champion in 2025.
Irwin said: “First of all, to re-sign with PBM and to continue onboard the Ducati was an absolute priority; to be honest it didn’t take much negotiation. Jordan, Frank and Johnny came to my motorhome at Donington Park and everyone is on the same wavelength.
“We all want to win; we are all working hard, purely to win championships. I think also after my recent announcement with my career, my sole goal is to win the British Superbike Championship. We know that is the goal of the team too as they chase their tenth title.
“To have a two year contract is cool, as in one sense you have security, but what makes it so cool is that we have consistency, something that I will be working hard on myself too. Hopefully, the stars align a little better as this year was a little bit tough at times, but we have put that behind us and are working hard towards 2025 and 2026 with Ducati.
“So I have to say thank you to the team and all of our sponsors for making it happen. To Jordan and Frank, to Johnny and the entire team let’s go and continue where we have left off the past two seasons. For me, I am looking within myself for more and seeing what I need to bring to the table in the search for that elusive first championship.”
Joint Team Owner Jordan Bird commented: “It is fantastic that we can announce that Glenn will remain with the PBM Racing Team for the next two seasons, ensuring we have consistency and stability as we strive to achieve our tenth title.
“This season was a big year for myself, Frank and the entire team and I am so proud of what we have all achieved in our first full season together. I also want to thank again all of our loyal partners who made it happen. Now we are all focused on the new season and are working hard behind the scenes in preparation to come out fighting for the Championship in 2025. We can’t wait to get started!”

In addition to all the previews and new solutions at the Dainese stand, a historical great will be returning for all its fans. Having been stolen at an event in Milan in 1988, the legendary AGV X1 Air System helmet of Niki Lauda, worn by the Formula 1 driver during the dramatic 1976 German Grand Prix, finally returns to tell his incredible story, displayed to the public at the Dainese booth at EICMA 2024.
The helmet, which is visibly damaged by the fire that broke out during the accident, illustrates the extraordinary strength of the Austrian driver, who returned to racing just 42 days later. Its iconic red graphics, with Lauda’s name printed in white, not only represents a sporting legend, it also marks a crucial moment in the evolution of on-track safety. Following an appearance at an exhibition in the United States in 1987 and some subsequent movement between Japan and Italy, Niki Lauda’s AGV X1 disappeared; it was the subject of mystery for a long time, fueling decades of speculation and myths. Dainese group, owner of the AGV brand, successfully claimed legitimate ownership, returning this precious heirloom to history and the fans. On display at EICMA 2024, this helmet will become part of the DAR – Dainese ARchivio, Dainese’s permanent exhibition in Vicenza that celebrates iconic ideas, people and items that have revolutionized safety, design and performance in the dynamic sports landscape.
Visit EICMA 2024, Milan Rho Fiera, and stop off at the Dainese booth, HALL 14 STAND E32, from November 5 to 10, for an immersive discovery of the latest innovations in apparel, safety and design for enthusiasts and motorcyclists alike.
Come and discover the protection of the future.

‘Mesh Boost’ will be automatically available early next year as a free over-the-air software update to all users of Cardo’s current 2nd generation DMC devices – including the PACKTALK PRO, EDGE and Neo – making it even easier to communicate with Cardo.
Key enhancements include:
Expanded group size to 31 riders
Cardo’s Mesh Boost is the first in the market to allow groups of up to 31 riders to communicate seamlessly in true DMC mode – more than doubling the previous capacity of 15 – without losing any of the DMC characteristics that have made Cardo PACKTALK’s the best-selling comms in the world. Now, even more riders can experience the benefits of auto-reconnection, ease of pairing and reliable connection.
Public Mesh
This new feature allows users to talk with up to any 31 participants within the range of the DMC network, offering a truly open channel for spontaneous conversations with nearby riders. Also a handy workaround for those existing users wanting to simplify DMC usage even further, just select the Public Mesh group and ride.
Private chat +
Expanding the existing Private Chat feature, riders will now be able to create private chat sessions within their group with any number of participants (as opposed to just two), making it easier to have personalized conversations within the group on the go. Users are invited by being selected through the Cardo Connect App and can accept the invitation as they would a normal call.
Remote grouping
Understanding that all riders don’t start at the same place when heading out for a ride, Cardo’s remote grouping capability allows a group to be set up ahead of time by simply sharing a link generated from within the Cardo Connect App. Links can be forwarded to other users, but only Cardo 2nd generation DMC users are validated to join.
Plus NEW Cellular Intercom connectivity
Along with the new ‘Mesh Boost’ features, Cardo has also launched Celluar Intercom connectivity. Using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) functionality, Cardo’s new Cellular Intercom connectivity ability will allow connectivity between an unlimited number of Cardo users, no matter the range. Like voice and video calls over popular messaging Apps, the functionality relies on a cellular network being strong and available – otherwise known as ‘data signal’ – and a user’s data plan. Cellular intercom will be open to all Cardo units, Bluetooth and DMC, connected to the Cardo Connect App.
2024: 20 years of ‘Breaking Boundaries’ and 2025: The ‘Year of The Mesh’
Officially launching its new ‘Mesh Boost’ technology at the Cardo Systems booth at EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Cardo concludes the brand’s 20th anniversary since pioneering the world’s first Motorcycle Bluetooth headset celebrations and kickstarts the ‘Year of The Mesh’. 2025 will mark a decade since Cardo revolutionized the world of communication by introducing the world’s first mesh communicator.
Isolation from reality, flagrant audacity, complete disregard for the outcome, and listening to the GUT; this best describes the mindset of motorcycle racers, and is certainly the perfect description for the 16-year old rookie from the Checkers Motorcycle Club – Eddie Mulder, a.k.a. Fast Eddie – who in 1960 became (and till date remains) the youngest Champion to tame the brutal Californian desert race, the Big Bear Run.
In 1960, the unforgiving Mojave Desert served as a backdrop for the Big Bear Run; the biggest, baddest race the Californian desert had ever witnessed. With no rules, roads or tech, and only cacti and coyotes for spectators, alongside 765 other riders, Eddie Mulder, shocked the racing world as he surged first across the finish line in 4-hrs and 21-minutes, igniting a legacy that reverberates through the ages. Astride his 500cc Royal Enfield Fury and fueled by instinct, unwavering determination and gut, Eddie was one among only 197 who made it to the end of the finish line.
When asked about what he thought was the turning point for him in the race, EddieMulder says, “Iwas in thirteenth place when I lost control and took a tumble down a ravine. I hauled up the bike and inspected the damage. The handlebars were bent right back, the header pipe had been wrenched out of the cylinder head, and one shock absorber was bust. I heaved the bars into shape and kicked the header pipe back into place. Couldn’t do anything about the broken shock absorber, so I rode the rest of the race on just one”.
Sixty-four years later, that fearless spirit has sparked the inspiration for a motorcycle that embodies that indomitable grit and determination in its soul – the new Royal Enfield Bear 650, a stylish and versatile scrambler. Designed for riders who trust their instinct and stand out from the rest, the Bear 650 is more than just a motorcycle – it is a journey, a statement, and a reminder to follow your gut. With its versatile capabilities, robust engineering, and distinct scrambler aesthetic, the Bear 650 is poised to redefine the riding experience for ‘scrambler-ers’ across the globe, inviting them to forge their own path, one ride at a time.
Speaking about the inspiration, conception and design of the Bear 650, B Govindarajan, CEO – Royal Enfield, says, “We’ve always drawn deep inspiration for our motorcycles from our community, and from our riders who’ve achieved extraordinary feats. Our inspiration for the Bear 650 came from one such legendary story – Eddie and that of the 1960 Big Bear Run. The Bear 650 channels the same spirit of raw instinct, sheer impulse, relentless determination, and embodies the ethos of a true scrambler ‘full-send’ mindset and DNA. It is built to deliver confidence and control across all terrains—whether you are navigating urban streets or dusty trails. The Bear 650 is not just about performance; it’s about versatility, resilience, and an uncompromising spirit.
In Gut We Trust … and the Gut Roars!
The Bear 650 is fuelled by gut feel and powered by Royal Enfield’s globally renowned 650-Twin platform. Known for its smooth performance and character, the engine delivers a robust 47 bhp (34.6 kW) at 7,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 56.5Nm @5150rpm which increases the mid range punch on the Bear 650 as compared to the other Twin models. The innovative 2-1 exhaust system enhances torque and offers a broader powerband, while the compact single silencer reduces weight and adds to the Scrambler aesthetic.
Scramble in style
Chunky tyres with retro flavour, open square tread blocks, contoured scrambler seats, 2-1 exhaust, kicked-up rear loop, competition number board and raised ground clearance – each element on the Bear 650 conveys its true Scrambler DNA. Additionally, the inclusion of a competition number board gives the motorcycle a heritage scrambler look; an ode to the scrambler motorcycles of yore.
Accentuating the scrambler aesthetic further are the three striking colourways for European markets inspired by the vibrant spirit of California. Petrol Green, Golden Shadow, and a special edition called Two Four Nine, paying tribute to Eddie’s iconic race winning number. Together, all these elements make the Bear 650 a scrambler that embodies the spirit and style of the 60’s desert racing scene of California.
The quintessential ‘bad-roader’
For those who crave a quintessential ‘badass’ scrambler experience, the Bear 650 gets a revised and stronger chassis, Showa USD big piston forks in the front with 130mm travel and Showa Twin tube RSU at the rear with 115mm travel aid provide a pliant experience while riding on the tarmac. Higher ground clearance of 184mm coupled with the combination of 19″ front and 17″ rear wheels, fitted with dual purpose tyres, provides an authentic scrambler look, improves grip and lends it mild off-road ability. The contoured seat of the Bear 650 has been designed to allow the rider to move around freely and prevent the rider from slipping while riding on rough surfaces. A wide handlebar and neutrally positioned footpegs provides uncramped and confident ergonomics. The motorcycle is equipped with 320mm front disc and 270mm rear disc for superior braking performance with the option of switching off rear ABS while riding on broken roads or graded trails.
Not so basic instinct | Modern scrambler essentials
Inspired by legacy but modern in many aspects, the Bear 650 is equipped with Tripper Dash, the all-new TFT display has a simple user interface and experience for easy comprehension on the move. The black aluminium switch cubes and joystick aid in effortless and intuitive interaction while using the Tripper Dash. The Google Maps integration and USB-C device charging port instil more confidence for urban exploration. A first on the twins platform, the motorcycle also gets full LED lighting for increased visibility and scrambler aesthetics.
The Bear 650 will be available in European dealerships for test rides and deliveries from February 2025 with a dynamic genuine motorcycle accessory range to support rider customisation.

Royal Enfield, global leader in the mid-size (250cc-750cc) motorcycle segment, launched the much-loved, and eagerly anticipated Royal Enfield Classic 650 at the 2024 EICMA Motor Show in Milan, Italy.
The magnum opus in Royal Enfield’s stable, the new Classic 650 is a super-sized version of the iconic silhouette of Classics from the past, and stays true to the genetic traits of the Classic family.
The ‘Classic’ has remained the purest form of Royal Enfield DNA, undiluted through every evolution. Not only has it been the foundation of several Royal Enfield motorcycle models, it has also remained a motorcycle with an impeccable pedigree, timeless elegance, old-world charm, and a distinct, unwavering character. With its bespoke craftsmanship, the Classic has represented the very culture of classic automotive design, aesthetics and engineering.
The new Classic 650 showcases the distinctive spirit of the Classic family, but serves it up in a double measure. Its stately, streamlined form is propelled by Royal Enfield’s acclaimed 650 Twin engine, resulting in a ride that is both swift and graceful. While staying true to traits of the Classic family, the Classic 650 offers riders a powerful new blend of old-school aesthetics and effortless power delivery. Imposing to look at, but friendly to ride, this is unmistakably a Classic that stays pure to the core.
Speaking about the launch of the Classic 650, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield, said, “The Classic is what keeps us rooted and real to our philosophy of pure motorcycling. The new Classic 650 not only upholds and embodies this spirit, it serves it up in a double measure on our world-class 650 Twin platform. We’ve stayed true to the Classic’s purpose and character, and retained its quintessential style, design and elegance. With its fine craftsmanship, majestic road-presence, and refined powertrain we believe this motorcycle will resonate deeply with our customers”
Double the charm
A foundation for many Royal Enfield motorcycle models through the years, the Classic has carried the rich heritage and inspiration that retains Royal Enfield design characteristics, and the Classic 650 is not very different. It carries forward the legacy and is built to reflect the familiar and signature design elements that connect it to its predecessors. The Classic 650 seamlessly carries forward the iconic ‘frame-loop’ that connects it to all past models – from the OG Classic, to the Thunderbird, to more recently, the Super Meteor and Shotgun – but that’s where the similarities end.
Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the Classic 650 embodies the spirit of Royal Enfield’s rich history with its smooth lines, signature design cues and luxurious detailing that exude both class and authenticity. The motorcycle features a beautifully sculpted fuel tank, vintage-style round headlamps, and elegantly curved fenders, all paying homage to the Classic’s legacy.
Double the capability
At the heart of the Classic 650 lies the globally celebrated 648cc parallel twin engine, which makes its debut on the motorcycle in a fresh state of tune, offering strong low-end acceleration, exceptional throttle response, calibrated for the grace and unhurried attitude so quintessential to the Classic. It also has unmatched performance, making it the ideal companion for riders seeking power and poise, comfort and control on every journey.
Refined gear-shifts and well-balanced chassis offer superior stability and enhanced riding experience, even on uneven terrain. The 650cc twin motor known for its strong low-end acceleration makes it ideal for quick getaways and confident overtakes. It delivers ample torque right from lower revs, providing an effortless surge of power without needing to push it hard. The engine is impressively stress-free and refined with minimal vibrations even at higher speeds. Its responsiveness, combined with well-tuned throttle makes it fun and engaging for the rider.
Double the character
While the Classic 650 shares common heritage, it is completely modern and unique. The design, stance and the form of the motorcycle has been matched to the lines and form of the engine that powers this motorcycle. The Classic 650 has shorter, sporty fenders and a leaning forward proportion, adapted to the angled forward Twin motor. This gives the motorcycle a dynamic pose. More modern, wider tires add to its capability and larger forms all around give it a presence befitting its larger capacity motor.
The new Classic 650 shares its highly acclaimed chassis with the Super Meteor and the Shotgun 650. Dual seats are fitted as standard equipment, with an option of pillion seat and rack removal using a single bolt on mechanism. With bright polished aluminium and chrome finish on the headlamp unit and front trafficators, the Classic 650 continues to maintain the signature post-war British motorcycle styling, with visual harmony accentuated by flowing lines from front to the tail. The motorcycle bears the distinct teardrop shaped tank, and the signature Royal Enfield nacelle that houses a new LED headlamp along with the signature ‘tiger lamps’ – pilot lights – an enduring feature on Royal Enfield motorcycles since 1954.
The ergonomic riding posture, with perfectly positioned handlebars and a plush wide seat, keeps the rider comfortable during long rides. The front and rear suspension from Showa is tuned for a refined ride quality, absorbing road imperfections effortlessly, while the responsive handling makes it agile in city traffic and confident on highways.
The uncluttered dash unit, featuring a digital LCD screen with an odometer, trip metre, fuel level indicator, service reminder, gear position indicator and clock, makes the rider focus and enjoy the ride. Additionally, the motorcycle will be offered with Genuine Motorcycle Accessories in the Classic and Classic Tourer inspired themes, allowing riders to customise their machine for an even more personalised riding experience. Overall, the Classic 650 embodies the timeless charm of motorcycling with modern-day precision and comfort.
Classic colours for classic contours.
The liveries of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 bring back the much loved colour schemes of the Classic 500, along with a fresh take on the legacy. With Vallam Red, Teal Green and Black Chrome, each colour beautifully complements the motorcycle’s flowing elegant lines, and classic contours.

The Context and Backstory
Whilst the new Royal Enfield Classic 650 is a thoroughly modern motorcycle, its roots are inextricably linked to Royal Enfield’s first ever Parallel Twin. Unveiled at the 1948 London Motorcycle Show and known simply as the ‘The 500 Twin’, it was a seminal piece of motorcycle design and engineering.
Designed by Ted Pardoe and developed by chief engineer, Tony Wilson Jones, the 500 Twin was streets ahead of its competitors in the comfort stakes. While all other manufacturers’ twin motorcycles had either a rigid frame or rudimentary plunger suspension, the Royal Enfield 500 Twin enjoyed revolutionary swinging arm rear suspension.
Royal Enfield’s swinging arm rear suspension was earlier revealed on the 1948 350 Bullet Trials prototype. Its success in competitions ensured it was then used on road-going 350 Bullets and 500 Twins, making them the first, full-production motorcycles to feature this design anywhere in the world. Within a few years, virtually all manufacturers had adopted this Royal Enfield design and most still use it today.
The 500 Twin’s silky smoothness continued in the engine department as well. While most engines of this era were statically balanced, Royal Enfield went the extra mile to both statically and dynamically balance the 500 Twin, with the latter step ensuring the rider experienced no finger-tingling or teeth-chattering vibrations.
In the mid-20th century, streamlining was the optimistic promise of modernity, speed and progress. The streamline ‘speed-form’ was an integral part of the signature style of design masters such as Henry Dreyfuss and Raymond Loewy. On the 500 Twin, this influence was evident in the form of the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, side panels and, perhaps most prominently, the famous signature Royal Enfield casquette (nacelle) headlight housing. With the new Classic 650 Twin, the design team has taken this design language and evolved it, italicising the stance of the motorcycle to give it a sense of motion even when stood still.
The ‘500-Twin’ later evolved into further parallel twin models like the Super Meteor, Constellation, and Interceptor, but the 500-Twin is where it all started.

For the Italian company EICMA represents the key event of the year, and for the next edition, AIROH will reveal a 2025 collection full of new products.
Road segment lovers will find GP 800 FIM Racing #1 and GP 800, the new models dedicated to road racing, with strong and aerodynamic lines, both presented by the AIROH riders. The Mathisse II helmet will be exposed with an innovative ventilation with an even more fluid functionality than the previous version.
But not just helmets, AIROH will present AWC 4 and AWC 2, the brand’s new communication systems developed in collaboration with Interphone of Cellularline Group. Last, but certainly not least, the update of the concept of the world’s first motorcycle helmet equipped with an airbag.
This morning the gates of the 110th EICMA edition open, the international two-wheel exhibition, which increasingly represents an unmissable event for professionals, enthusiasts and the most prestigious companies in the motorcycle field.
Among these, of course, AIROH will be present with its own stand (Hall 18 – Booth E90) to present the new products of the 2025 collection.
Synonymous with Italian quality, innovation and safety, the brand’s proposals for next year will capture the attention of those who are looking for helmets with a strong personality and outstanding aerodynamic capabilities.
THE NEW STANDARD FOR THE ROAD
Among these, the two new AIROH top-of-the-range models in the road segment, GP 800 FIM Racing #1 and GP 800: developed inside the AIROH wind tunnel and optimized in terms of aerodynamics thanks to the valuable feedback from the AIROH riders, like David Alonso, Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Locatelli, who will be present at the booth for the presentation of these helmets.
In addition to these products, with a strong racing character, Mathisse II, the flip up model able to change its nature and segment of use with a simple gesture. P/J approved, intuitive functionality and improved ventilation are just some of the new features of the popular model with chin guard, now even more easily, reversible.
Finally, four new AIROH models of the road segment unveiled in world premiere: H.21, TRR II, Kombakt and Bandit.
COMMUNICATION ACCORDING TO AIROH
But not just helmets, AIROH expands and completes its range of products by presenting, in collaboration with Interphone of Cellularline Group, its first intercom models, AWC 4 and AWC 2. Available from February 2025, the new communication systems offer high sound quality in an essential design that can be easily integrated into AIROH helmets, so as not to compromise their elegant lines and aggressive graphics.
THE FUTURE OF THE AIRBAG CONCEPT
The AIROH’s study on the world’s first motorcycle helmet with an integrated airbag, for greater head safety, continues. The project is still going ahead, in a new phase of development. The new evolution of the concept will be exhibited at EICMA.

Its strong PB-cLc2 outer shell is manufactured using special Z-compound resins, balanced by a lightweight inner liner for reduced overall weight. Maximising ventilation, the MX-V’s front and rear vents work together to pull cool air through the helmet, the peak channels airflow in with a design that also reduces lifting. At this year’s International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA), taking place from 5-10 November at Milan Rho-Fiera, D3O® is unveiling its latest innovations in protection.
Exhibition visitors can explore D3O’s advanced protective solutions at Hall 22, Stand Q36, where the brand will exhibit several new products, including the Diablo limb protectors, the Viper Air back protector, and the CP2 chest protector. The company will also introduce developments in anti-vibration technology, broadening its range of protective solutions for motorcycle riders.
The newly engineered body and limb armour is designed to be thinner, lighter, and more flexible than anything currently available, offering motorcycle riders unmatched comfort without compromising protection. Key innovations include the Diablo limb and hip protectors, the CP2 chest protector with convertible dual certification, and the highly ventilated Viper Air back protector.
Diablo Limb Protectors
The Diablo range is meticulously engineered for optimal safety and comfort. These lightweight, flexible protectors feature intricate geometric designs and strategically denser central areas to enhance impact distribution, providing excellent joint cushioning where riders need it most. The Diablo range offer exceptional breathability freedom of movement and weight reduction. As D3O’s thinnest and most breathable limb protectors, they still exceed EN 1621-1 standards for performance, offering superior protection without the bulk. The curvature of the design contours to the rider’s joints, ensuring a secure fit that prevents slippage during rides, providing true ‘fit and forget’ protection.
Available in both EN1621 Level 1 and Level 2 options, as well as standard and ‘compact’ sizing, the Diablo range includes shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee protectors. These products integrate seamlessly into motorcycle garments, making them an ideal choice for long-distance riders seeking the ultimate balance of protection and comfort.
CP2 Chest Protector
D3O introduces the all-new CP2 chest protector, offered in both full and split designs, to fit all kinds of garments. Unique to D3O, the CP2 is certified to both EN1621-3 Level 1 and 2, with a removable shell allowing the rider to adapt the level of protection and bulk to the ride of the day. The CP2 is therefore the most versatile and comfortable chest protector on the market, ideal for those riding bikes on different terrains throughout the year. The hard shell coverage extends beyond the minimum certification requirement to guarantee unmatched perforation and protection against small rocks and gravel.
Designed for racers, motocross, and mountain bike enthusiasts, the CP2 is an upgrade from the CP1 model, featuring an open geometry for increased ventilation and a low 13.5mm profile for superior comfort. This innovation ensures that both professional and casual riders can benefit from premium protection, whether on a high-speed track or a weekend ride.
Viper Air Back Protector
A standout in D3O’s product lineup for over a decade, the Viper back protector has earned its reputation for safety and comfort. Now, D3O is introducing the Viper Air, its most advanced back protector yet. The Viper Air is the lightest, most comfortable, and highly ventilated back protector D3O has ever produced.
Featuring enhanced thermal regulation and wave geometry for improved airflow, the Viper Air provides up to 4.5 times more ventilation than its predecessor, while also being 22% lighter. The protector continues to leverage D3O’s proprietary impact protection material, which ‘locks’ upon impact to absorb and dissipate energy, ensuring maximum protection.
Available in three versions—Viper Air L1, Viper Air L2, and Viper Air Central L1—these back protectors meet CE certification requirements:
Viper Air L1: Level 1 protection, tested under ambient, wet, and cold (-10°C) conditions.
Viper Air L2: Level 2 protection, tested under ambient and wet conditions.
Viper Air Central L1: Level 1 protection, tested under ambient, wet, and cold (-10°C)conditions.
With sizes ranging from four to six options depending on the model, as well as extended options for additional lumbar coverage, the Viper Air series offers a tailored fit for every rider, ensuring that comfort, breathability, and protection are uncompromised.
Visit D3O at Hall 22, Stand Q36, to experience the latest in impact protection technology and explore how D3O continues to set new standards for rider safety and comfort. The team will be on hand to discuss how these products, engineered for flexibility, ventilation, and protection, are shaping the future of motorcycle safety gear.

THE KEY NEW PIAGGIO GROUP SOLUTIONS AT EICMA 2024
Aprilia Tuono 457 This new model uses the technical platform of the recently presented RS 457 as a base, and is designed to meet the mobility and fun requirements of young motorcyclists all over the world. It’s the most non-conformist and rebellious Tuono that has ever been, and whilst it retains the core features of all Tuono bikes, the new model boasts an all-new look, designed to satisfy the needs and desires of the market at which it is aimed. It is distinguished by its record-breaking power/weight ratio (just 59 kg dry weight for 35kW of power) – the maximum possible for a motorbike that can be ridden with an A2 licence – for an extremely fun and dynamic ride that is also easy and accessible to all. The technical features are top of the range: aluminium frame (the only one of its kind in this segment) and cutting-edge electronics, including Ride by Wire throttle, three Riding Modes, ABS and traction control. The Tuono 457 is powered by a generous latest-generation parallel twin-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 35 kW (47.6 hp) at 9,400 rpm and torque of 43.5 Nm at 6,700 rpm, 82% of which is already available at 3,000 rpm.
Aprilia Tuareg Rally This model is the most specialised Tuareg on the market, largely derived from the Aprilia Racing version of the bike, which won both the Africa Eco Race and the Italian Motorally championship: it is a true benchmark among two-cylinder bikes dedicated to the most demanding off-road conditions. Compared to the already superb Tuareg, the standard equipment is particularly impressive – clearly inspired by racing, it is designed for more off-road use, and features a high front mudguard, a new aluminium sump guard, new, more robust hand guards and a new chain guide. The saddle and handlebars have been raised, making the bike more suitable for riding whilst standing. The spoked wheels feature a narrow Ergal channel, and are fitted with tube-type tyres, while the Kayaba suspension with its notable 240 mm travel is fitted with internal components designed for enduro use. The engine has been updated in several areas, and now features more direct off-road mapping. The SC Project exhaust has a titanium muffler, while the weight is just 199 kg in running order.
New Aprilia Factory range The Factory name sets the most exclusive, premium versions of Aprilia sports bikes apart from the competition: these models are recognised by fans for their racing-derived refinement, which translates into a unique riding experience both on the track and on the road. The new RS 660 is now also available in the Factory equipment versions, and has Öhlins multi-adjustable suspension as standard, as well as dedicated graphics. All versions of the RS 660 now have numerous new features: the fairing is fitted with new aerodynamic wings that increase stability, while the on-board electronics – which were already top-of-the-range on the previous version – now come with launch control and a new colour instrument panel. With a more powerful 105 hp engine and a weight of just 183 kg in running order, the power-to-weight ratio has also been further optimised. The same new features fitted on the RS 660 Factory can also be found on the Tuono 660 Factory, which is better suited to everyday use and fun on the road, with its high handlebars and naked set-up. The new Aprilia V4 Factory bikes serve as a benchmark in their respective categories, and come equipped with solutions which are derived directly from Aprilia’s experience in MotoGP. The Tuono V4 Factory boasts a new design with advanced aerodynamics, a new APRC electronic control package with predictive functions, and a new colour instrument panel. The V4 engine has been boosted to 180 hp, which can be used to the full thanks to the chassis inspired by Aprilia’s experience on race tracks all over the world. The jewel in the crown of this range is the new Aprilia RSV4 Factory, the record-breaking sports bike and most powerful mass-produced type-approved superbike in the world, courtesy of a V4 engine which can now deliver an astonishing 220 hp. The aerodynamics are also new, with MotoGP-style winglets, boosting stability and grip when cornering. The RSV4 Factory also features the new-generation active control systems with adaptive and predictive features, which can adjust the degree to which the controls intervene in a calibrated, controlled manner, in accordance with the conditions and riding style.
New Aprilia 125 range Aprilia is the only brand that can boast four different 125 bikes in its range, each dedicated to a different type of use: the sporty RS, the naked Tuono, the enduro RX and the supermotard SX. All four are presented at EICMA in their latest incarnations. The RS 125 and the Tuono 125 are the only made-in-Italy eighth-litre bikes which feature aluminium frames: these models continue Aprilia’s sporting tradition, and now boast new equipment including traction control and ABS on both wheels, increasing safety to the levels seen on higher-category bikes. The single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with four-valve timing has been overhauled in terms of its fine-tuning, and now offers the same best-in-class performance as its predecessor, despite complying with the stricter Euro 5+ regulations: 15 hp (11kW) at 10,500 rpm and 11.5 Nm at 8,500 rpm: benchmark values in the category. Also new are the colour variants now available. The SX 125 and RX 125 feature an all-new design both in terms of their superstructure and equipment, including full-LED lights and a new digital colour instrument panel. The rims, tyres and a braking system of the SX 125 are best suited to high-thrills road riding, while the equipment of the RX 125 makes it better for off-road use.
Moto Guzzi V7 Sport The V7 range has been completely revamped, with a new model that bears a legendary Moto Guzzi name: the brand officially welcomes the new V7 Sport, the most dynamic, hi-tech V7 ever: double front disc brake, inverted fork, inertial platform, Ride by Wire electronic throttle and dedicated Sport Riding Mode. Moto Guzzi’s most iconic model may have changed, but it still retains its authentic charm, with timeless styling which includes the classic metal tank and the inimitable design of its sculptural 90° V-twin transverse engine, with improved performance but the same unique character. ABS, traction control and cruise control also come as standard.
New Piaggio high-wheel scooter range The Piaggio brand presents its range of high-wheel scooters at EICMA. These best-selling bikes essentially invented an entire segment, dictating its technical and stylistic lines.
The Piaggio Liberty is one of brand’s most beloved and popular scooters – synonymous with easy riding, manoeuvrability and lightness – debuts an all-new style with improved equipment, including a digital colour instrument panel and a new handlebar which has been designed to increase ease and comfort of riding. It is available in three engine sizes: 50, 125 and 150 cc – the latter two of which are also equipped with ABS.
The Beverly is now available with the gutsy new 310 cc engine and 27.7 hp maximum power. The new engine, with more than 70% new components compared to the previous version, also boasts improved torque values, combining power and smooth delivery, for an even more thrilling ride that is also easier and more relaxed. The Piaggio Medley – an agile, lightweight high-wheeler – has broken into a new displacement class, with the introduction of the Medley 200: with a power of 13 kW and torque of 16.5 Nm, it offers a brilliant, flexible ride. The ABS and Start & Stop systems are included as standard.
Vespa Gts 310 Whilst remaining an eternal symbol of Italian style and an icon of elegance, the Vespa continues to upgrade to the best technology. The flagship Gts is now the most powerful and responsive Vespa ever made in the near eighty-year history of the world’s most adored two-wheeler, and the new 310 cc engine is at the core of this evolution: using the state-of-the-art liquid-cooled 278 cc engine as a base, this unit represents a significant development, with more than 70% new components, new dimensions and new and improved performance as a result.
The stroke of this single-cylinder engine has been increased from 63 mm to just over 70 mm, boosting the displacement from 278 to 310 cc and the power to 25 hp. The torque has also increased and, thanks to the longer stroke, it now offers a more flexible ride. The technical and stylistic features, which had been completely revamped not long ago, remain unchanged, reaffirming Vespa’s tradition of continually updating its scooters to incorporate the latest technology – one of the secrets of its success from the start.
Technical and lifestyle apparel The Piaggio Group’s motorcycling brands, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi, also introduce rich collections of technical and lifestyle apparel. Developed in collaboration with Alpinestars, Aprilia’s technical collections are designed to support riders on the track, on the road and on the most demanding off-road trails. The Moto Guzzi collection, featuring classic lines, is composed of two lines of technical clothing that combine functionality with a distinctive, sporty style. Vespa is confirmed as an icon of Italian style and elegance with its new helmet line.

With the near-production-ready BMW Concept F 450 GS, BMW Motorrad is offering a glimpse of a BMW GS for the A2 license class and what a whole new model series between the BMW G 310 and F 800/900 could look like.
“What was particularly important to us in the development of the new BMW Concept F 450 GS was to achieve the best handling for this segment and combine it with strong performance and optimal accessibility. The riding pleasure on-road and off-road is a top priority for this A2 BMW GS,” says Sepp Mächler, Product Manager.
Unmistakable BMW GS Design. “The BMW Concept F 450 GS carries the characteristic DNA of the GS family,” says Alexander Buckan, Head of BMW Motorrad Design. “We have succeeded in designing the Concept with the sporty dynamic appeal of our large off-road icon in a particularly compact form.”
As with the Trophy version of the BMW R 1300 GS, the colour scheme of blue, white and red with the base colour of Racing Blue metallic represents not only the highest performance and quality, but also the very dynamic and off-road-focused character.
Newly Developed Twin-Cylinder Engine. The BMW Concept F 450 GS also delivers on the promise of premium quality in technical terms. The twin-cylinder inline engine has been developed from scratch and, thanks to a special, never-before-used ignition offset, is particularly characterful and eager to rev. Conforming to the A2 class, this engine delivers the full 48 hp and provides superior torque even at low revs.
The extremely compact dimensions of the engine, an excellent displacement-to-power ratio and the low weight are the result of innovative solutions and the use of lightweight materials, such as magnesium.
Performance: A Riding Machine for On- and Off-Road. On the chassis side too, the BMW Concept F 450 GS sets new standards in this segment with premium technology. “We were able to start the development of this vehicle with a clean slate. The aim was to enable excellent off-road capability and, at the same time, a nimble and precise handling on the road. Accordingly, the BMW Concept F 450 GS is equipped with a fully adjustable upside-down fork and a shock absorber with load-dependent damping, drawing on technology from rally and enduro sport. Through the targeted use of lightweight construction and other state-of-the-art solutions, we can create a sensationally light vehicle close to the minimum weight requirement in the A2 class of 175 kg,” says Marc Weber, lead engineer of the BMW Concept F 450 GS.
Diverse Equipment for Safety and Comfort. Inspired by the larger sibling, the BMW R 1300 GS, the Concept F 450 GS also sets new standards in the areas of safety and functionality in its class. The relevant features range from BMW Motorrad ABS Pro (dependent on lean angle) to a performance brake, to freely configurable riding modes. With BMW Connectivity on board and the 6.5-inch TFT display, the networking of the motorcycle and smartphone as well as other accessories is enabled.
A Glimpse into the Future. The question that arises when looking at the BMW Concept F 450 GS is: What could we expect in a production version? Johann Simon, vehicle project manager of the Concept F 450 GS, explains: “No compromises for sure. Following the very sporty off-road focus of the Concept F 450 GS, we will implement the bike as close as possible to this concept. We will only adjust the seat height for better accessibility and easier handling. As an alternative to the cross-spoke wheels (19 inches front, 17 inches rear), lightweight but high-strength cast aluminium wheels in the same dimensions are also conceivable.”
BMW Motorrad plans to present the corresponding series vehicle in the style of the Concept F 450 GS in 2025.
Honda has unveiled two electric motorcycle concept models, the EV Fun Concept and the EV Urban Concept, at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy.
Honda aims to achieve carbon neutrality through all of its products and corporate activities by 2050, and to achieve carbon neutrality for all of its motorcycle products in the 2040s. Towards this goal, Honda is working to electrify its motorcycles as the mainstay of its future environmental strategy.
Honda has positioned 2024 as the first year for the global launch of its electric motorcycles and has begun full-scale entry into the electric motorcycle market, positioning the time up to 2026 as a period of market entry, and beyond 2026 as a period of business expansion.
The EV Fun Concept is an electric motorcycle designed for fun use and was referred to at Honda’s Briefing on Honda Electric Motorcycle Business meeting held on November 29, 2023. It is a naked sports model equivalent to a mid-sized internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycle. Equipped with a fixed battery, it is Honda’s first electric sports model and is scheduled to be commercialized in 2025.
The EV Urban Concept is an electric model that embodies Honda’s vision of urban electric mobility with its function-focused design, connected technologies, and in-house developed battery pack.
With the addition of the new sports EV Fun Concept and the EV Urban Concept, Honda is making solid progress toward its plan to introduce 30 electric models globally by 2030.
Honda will accelerate its efforts to develop a full line-up of electric motorcycles to meet the diversifying needs of customers and promote the development of a wide variety of electric vehicles. Through its efforts, Honda aims to expand its global market share and become the leading company also in the field of electric motorcycles.
EV Fun Concept
The EV Fun Concept is Honda’s first electric sports model, and is being developed as a next-generation electric motorcycle that offers a new sensation of quiet riding and an emotional feeling unique to electric motorcycles.
In addition to the high level of “riding, turning, and stopping” created by Honda’s long-developed motorcycle technologies, the new quiet, vibration-free ride that is only possible with electric power and the slim, easy-to-manage chassis package enabled by its fixed battery, will provide a new emotional experience that is very different to ICE motorcycles. Honda believes the new electric experience will enhance customers’ motorcycle lifestyles.
The EV Fun Concept’s system and charging were developed by applying Honda’s know-how and technologies cultivated in its automobiles and power products. The battery is compatible with the CCS2 quick charger (the same standard as automobiles) and has been developed to optimize the balance between light weight and quick charging performance, as well as to provide a cruising range of over 100km, sufficient for city use.
EV Urban Concept
The EV Urban Concept reconstructs from scratch Honda’s vision of what urban electric mobility should be. It embodies a vision of near-future mobility that cooperates and resonates with people and society through its essential and sophisticated styling, intuitive human-machine interface (HMI), and new experiences created by the fusion of software and hardware. Honda’s goal is to open up the freedom of mobility to as many customers as possible, and to expand the possibilities of mobility for each and every customer.
Today at EICMA 2024 saw the unveiling of Honda’s EV FUN and EV Urban concepts – meaning an exciting, electrically charged two-wheeled future feels much closer.
But – and in parallel – Honda’s R&D engineers have applied some innovative thinking to what their next generation of high-efficiency, high-output Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) could look, feel and perform like. And designed something very special.
The water-cooled, 75° V3 engine is being newly developed for larger displacement machines and has been designed to be extremely slim and compact. It features the world’s first electrical compressor for motorcycles, which is able to control compression of the intake air irrespective of engine rpm, meaning that high-response torque can be delivered even from lower rpm.
In addition, the electrical compressor allows a high degree of freedom of layout of all components in the limited space available on a motorcycle, and an efficient centralization of mass. It also does not require an intercooler.
Those with long memories will remember the last time Honda had a V3 engine for the road – the seminal two-stroke NS400R of the mid-1980s. Now, 40 years later – and in a completely different world – the potential of this new direction is obvious, with breathtaking possibilities in terms of models to come. Development will continue towards mass production and towards Honda’s goal of enabling customers to further experience the unique joy of riding and owning a motorcycle.
Honda’s hard-stinging twin-cylinder Hornet builds on its popularity for 25YM, with an aggressively re-chiselled face courtesy of an all-new dual LED projector headlight unit and cockpit cowl while a new five-inch TFT screen features new menu designs, and retains Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity. Carrying zero excess mass, class-leading power-to-weight ratio is delivered by a 67.5kW and 75Nm engine driving a 192kg package. The eight-valve parallel twin-cylinder unit delivers both top end buzz and strong mid-range usability, combining with an ultra-lightweight frame for supremely agile side-to-side performance and instant, riotous acceleration. Throttle By Wire (TBW) serves up three riding modes and three-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with integrated Wheelie Control, plus three levels of Engine Braking and Power delivery. Full Showa suspension comprises 41mm Separate Fork Function Big Piston (SFF-BPTM) USD forks and (revised) rear shock working through Pro-Link. New suspension settings for 25YM offer increased front end feel for a sportier and more enjoyable ride. Dual, radial-mount four-piston calipers bite hard. The indicators auto-cancel and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology is included. An A2 licence option is also available.
1. Introduction
The original 1998 CB600F Hornet grew to be a hugely popular bike in Europe, for many reasons. Its compact, naked form was great around town, and it had the engine power and handling ability to carve a section of corners with joyous enthusiasm. Different iterations of the Hornet took it in the direction of sports touring and – in the hands of Hornet Cup racers –an outright race bike, while a 2007 upgrade added extra RR-derived top-end power and much more aggressive style.
Every individual owner had a reason why their Hornet was so good, but two things remained constant throughout its life and development:
It was great fun to ride. And the fun came with an affordable price tag.
23YM was the perfect time for a new Hornet to land – a bike for the time and a whole new generation of riders. It had big tyre tracks to fill and serious competitors to contend with. None of which was lost on Honda’s development engineers.
This background drove the creation of something quite special – the CB750 Hornet, a bike which took inspiration and direction from its ancestor but brought the celebrated Hornet brand right back to the cutting edge. And packed it with a direct injection of excitement and pure-thrill adrenaline.
With minimalist streetfighter styling led by the latest generation of creative minds in Honda’s Rome R&D facility, it was developed to attract younger riders looking for a serious move up. In a nutshell, Honda armed the CB750 Hornet with a class-leading power-to-weight ratio.
And, to keep things simple, three words can be used to sum it up: Fast, agile, fun.
For 25YM, the trademark Hornet’s svelte, taut styling is amplified through a newly developed, powerful light unit. Giving it a look of its own within the three-bike Hornet family, the CB750’s dual LED dual projector headlight sits low and centered for a true streetfighter silhouette.
Revised suspension settings and a new five-inch TFT screen round out the changes, and bring the CB750 Hornet’s style and tech bang up to date.
2. Model Overview
The Hornet’s engine packs a great deal of Honda’s engineering prowess into a small space. Headline numbers: 755cc parallel twin-cylinder, 67.5kW peak power and 75Nm torque. With wet weight of 192kg it has a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 0.36kW per kg / 2.81kg per kW.
Compact, competition CRF-derived Unicam eight-valve cylinder heads employ downdraft air intakes and a Vortex Flow Duct to ensure optimal combustion. A 270° crank delivers feel and character; the primary drive doubles as balance shaft while an assist/slipper clutch manages a six-speed gearbox. Electronic rider aids thanks to Throttle By Wire (TBW) include three riding modes (plus USER mode), three-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Wheelie Control with three-level Engine Power and Engine Braking adjustment.
To maximise the engine’s potential, it’s housed in a steel diamond frame, which is extremely light weight thanks to optimisation of wall/pipe thickness and stiffness. For optimal agility and rider feedback, suspension is top quality: Showa 41mm SFF-BPTM USD forks and rear shock (with new settings for 25YM) operating through Pro-Link. Dual four-piston, radial-mount calipers stop hard while the tyres are sized to provide perfect levels of grip and agility – a 120-section front matched to 160 rear.
The rich specification list is headlined by an all-new look, built around a low-set, centrally mounted dual LED projector headlight, tautly wrapped in a revised cowl that oozes streetfighter style. The CB750 Hornet now owns a style that is distinct from its larger and smaller siblings, carving out an identity all of its own.
Also new is the five-inch TFT colour display which supplies vivid information delivery and management of all systems, as well as the connectivity of Honda RoadSync system for both Android and IOS devices. It’s operated, easily, by a four-way toggle switch on the left handlebar.
A range of Genuine Honda Accessories, including updated quickshifter, soft luggage, engine protectors and cosmetic enhancements are ready to go. New for 25YM are honeycomb pattern knee grip Tank Pads, Dark Smoke Instrument Visor, headlight stripe, stainless Radiator Grill and loud volume Alarm.
The 25YM CB750 Hornet will be available in the following colour combinations:
**NEW** Mat Ballistic Black over Mat Ballistic Black Metallic
**NEW** Digital Silver Metallic over Mat Ballistic Black Metallic
**NEW** Glint Wave Blue Metallic over Mat Ballistic Black Metallic
Mat Pearl Glare white over Cuprite Red Metallic
3. Key Features
3.1 Engine
The parallel twin-cylinder powerplant packs a hugely enjoyable punch to give the Hornet its performance edge. It’s designed for every rider to exploit to the maximum, with exhilarating peak power output, but also to deliver accessible low to mid-range usability – perfect for the less experienced, and a major boost to the enjoyment of everyday town riding.
755cc, with an 8-valve Unicam cylinder head it pumps out 67.5kW @ 9,500rpm with 75Nm torque @ 7,250rpm. Bore and stroke is set at 87 x 63.5mm with compression ratio of 11.0:1. Compact and lightweight (and a configuration used by the MX competition-ready CRF450R) the Unicam head operates the 35.5mm inlet valves via cam, and the 29mm exhaust by rocker arms. Inlet lift is 9.3mm, exhaust 8.2mm.
For razor-sharp pick-up and throttle response patented Vortex Flow Ducts create a more uniform distribution from the side scoops into the airbox, which then feeds downdraft intakes and 46mm diameter throttle bodies. An aesthetic update for 25YM is removal of the breather tube which ran across the engine – it has been re-sited for a much cleaner look.
The 270° crank and uneven firing order create a characterful, twin-cylinder pulse feeling. To make the engine as tightly wrapped as possible there’s no balancer drive gear; the primary drive gear doubles up duties and spins the balance shaft. The water pump is tucked away inside the lefthand engine cover and there’s no need for a water-cooled oil-cooler. The cylinders also use a Ni-SiC (Nickel-Silicon Carbide) coating, as also used in the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and CRF450R.
An assist/slipper clutch – with oblique layout disc segments – offers light lever feel, eases up shifts and manages rear wheel hop under hard braking and rapid down changes.
The catalyser has been upgraded and an SO2 added for forward looking legislative compliance. Fuel consumption of 23km/l (WMTC mode) offers a potential range of over 340km from the 15.2L fuel tank. A 35kW, A2 licence option is also available.
3.2 Engine Electronics
Throttle By Wire engine control offers three default riding modes, adjusting the engine’s delivery and feel to suit conditions and the rider’s intent; they’re easily switched and managed between the left handlebar mode switch and TFT screen.
There are three levels of Engine Power (EP), Engine Brake (EB) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with integrated Wheelie Control available; HSTC can also be switched off. The riding modes offer different combinations of each parameter.
SPORT uses level three EP and level one EB and HSTC to deliver maximum performance with minimum intervention.
STANDARD mode is a mid-way setting that uses level two setting for EP, EB and HSTC.
RAIN mode employs the lowest EP setting, level one, for the least aggressive power delivery with level two EB and three HSTC.
USER mode allows the rider to choose between the three settings for each parameter and save the setting for future use.
3.3 Styling & Equipment
The main signature of the Hornet is the fuel tank, which takes inspiration from the shape of a hornet’s wing. Everywhere you look, from the aggressively angled nose-fairing to the razor-sharp, minimal tail, there are hallmarks of tension and aggression, outlining true sporting intent. Up front the new headlight unit – comprising dual high/low unified projector lenses – is unique within the Hornet family. With a look of its own within the Hornet family, the LED unit is both more compact and more powerful than the previous design. The cockpit cowl has been tautly re-shaped to match, amplifying the Hornet’s aggressive streetfighter styling and conveying its engaging, sporty ride.
Usability, for all riders, is also inherent to the design. Seat height is a very manageable 795mm and the riding position upright, with slightly rear set footpegs for natural control and wide handlebars for leverage.
The new five-inch full colour TFT screen uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced, and backlight transmittance improved.
The IOS/Android smartphone connectivity of Honda RoadSync – alongside a simple, easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar – allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls or listen to music. All an owner has to do is download the Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the CB750 Hornet, and go.
To simplify and miniaturise the entire electrical system the Hornet uses a Controller Area Network (CAN) alongside a Body Control Unit (BCU).
The rear indicators have an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function. At a minimum speed of 56km/h, with either brake working if negative acceleration of a minimum of 6.0m/s2 is detected, the hazard lights flash to warn other road users a hard stop is in process. At the same speed the threshold is reduced if ABS is activated, to a negative acceleration of a minimum 2.5m/s2.
Both front and rear indicators also auto-cancel; rather than using a simple timer, the system compares front and rear wheel speed difference and calculates when to cancel the indication relative to the situation.
3.4 Chassis
The Hornet’s steel diamond frame is lightweight, at just 16.6kg (for comparison, the CB650R’s is 18.5kg). A major technological process of stiffener, main/down tube thinning, and pivot shape optimisation has produced a hugely strong platform, with rigidity balance to deliver feel and geometry set for agility – just what the engine needs.
Rake and trail are set at 25° and 99mm, with wheelbase of 1,420mm and kerb weight of 192kg.
With a view to heighten sports handling performance (especially braking from higher speeds) Showa 41mm Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BPTM) USD forks are clamped by Hornet-specific top and bottom yokes. With 130mm travel and by dividing the functions – Big Piston pressure separation damper in one leg, spring mechanism in the other – maximising both reaction over changes in road surface and the overall ride quality.
The rear shock absorber operates through the steel swingarm via Pro-Link and offers 130mm travel. Its design ensures excellent response and temperature management; it features 7-stage preload adjustment to match the forks.
Building on the Hornet’s raw sporting appeal for 25YM are the detail changes to the bike’s suspension. Damping settings have been optimised front and rear to maximise the front wheel’s contact patch, for a more dynamic, sportier and engaging ride.
Dual front 296mm discs and Nissin radial-mount, four-piston calipers deliver impressive, fingertip stopping power, with excellent progressive feel through the lever. To further elevate handling and ride quality lightweight wheels use Y-shaped spokes. Front wheel width is 3.5inch wearing 120/70-ZR17 tyre, the rear 4.5inch with 160/60-ZR17 tyre.
4. Accessories
A full range of Genuine Honda Accessories are available for the Hornet, ready for personalisation to an owner’s preference and use.
New for 25YM there is a Radiator Grill, Side Tank Pads and Headlight stripes that neatly complement the bike’s new front end. Other accessories have been updated to match the new colours and changes, such as Wheel Stripes, Fly Screen and Seat Cowl.
To make it easy for an owner there are three packs that group the accessories neatly together:

Whether a run for coffee with friends or further afield, the GB350S effortlessly achieves the goals set out for it, with authentic charm and an open book for any owner’s customisation desires.
Two wheels, handlebar, engine. Enjoy.
2. Model Overview
Air-cooled, SOHC the 348cc HSTC-equipped engine produces 15.5kW peak power with 29.0Nm of torque, focussed in the low- to mid-range. But it’s also an engine – long-stroke, with heavy flywheel mass – tuned to feel exactly like a single-cylinder should, with character and sound that’s unmistakeable. The wide-ratio, five-speed gearbox is managed by assist/slipper clutch for fuss free gear changes.
The GB350S is a bike made to navigate busy city streets with ease. The steel semi-double cradle frame provides stable, confident handling, the overall geometry gives a tight turning radius; both centre of gravity and seat height are reassuringly low. 41mm telescopic forks and twin rear shocks provide supple suspension, with braking taken care of by 310mm front/ 240mmm rear discs and ABS control. Wheels are a 19/17-inch front and rear combination.
Deliberately understated styling pays homage to Honda’s illustrious roadster history with steel fuel tank, resin side panels and front mudguard, and stylish blacked out detailing on the engine and cycle parts. All lighting is LED, led by a circular headlight, while a compact analogue speedometer is at the centre of an attractive instrument display.
A range of genuine Honda accessories are ready to go for the GB350S, and include large and small saddle bags, a variety of screen options and engine side pipes.
The 25YM GB350S will be available in the following paint options:

3. Key Features
3.1 Engine
Rich in character, the 348cc SOHC 2-valve air-cooled single-cylinder engine is a new design that, from the outset, looks to deliver soulful feel alongside engaging performance. The effort from Honda’s development engineers was to create the right ‘pulse’ from combustion energy and a high mass flywheel – which the rider very much feels as a pleasurable heartbeat – while minimising vibration. An extra main shaft coaxial balancer works in conjunction with the primary balancer for this purpose.
The air intake from the clean side of the airbox to the PGM-FI has designed to be straight, with optimised diameter to reduce intake air resistance, and a pipe length to generate powerful torque from low speeds. For stable air intake, the port is located behind the airbox with an intake route that runs beneath the seat and across top of the airbox. This design contributes to the strong low rpm performance and ‘heartbeat’ of the engine.
The exhaust note was also factored in right at the start of development. The downpipe is double skinned while the muffler (chamfered for improved lean angle with 45mm diameter tail pipe) uses a single expansion chamber; the resulting sound is a distinct, characterful bass beat – just right for a single.
Peak power of 15.5kW is delivered at 5,500rpm with peak torque of 29.0Nm arriving low down in the rpm range at 3,000rpm. Its architecture is long stroke with bore and stroke set at 70mm x 90.5mm and compression ratio of 9.5:1.
And while it has a classic look, a host of Honda’s latest low-friction technologies – like a 10mm offset cylinder, asymmetric con-rod and sealed crankcases – are all built in to deliver optimum fuel efficiency. To achieve both oil capacity and reduced crankshaft oil mixing resistance in limited space, the sealed crankcase uses a bulkhead between the transmission chambers and crankcase.
A reed valve, located in the bulkhead opens and closes as crankshaft pressure fluctuates due to piston action, discharging oil from a piston jet (that cools the piston and lubricates the big-end of the con-rod). This is then passed into the transmission chamber, reducing friction thus improving fuel economy.
For optimum cooling efficiency the depth, thickness and spacing of the cooling fins has been carefully optimised. The work also adds to the engine’s presence and aesthetic. To cool the area behind the combustion chamber, an oil passage in the cylinder head covers the upper portion of the head, reducing temperature by 10%.
The five-speed gearbox uses wide gear ratios between first and fourth, to make the best use of the torque delivery around town, with fifth set for wide-ranging acceleration from 30km/low rpm up to cruising speed. An aluminium cam assist/slipper clutch reduces lever load by 30%, easing around-town riding and upshifts while controlling the rear wheel under braking and downshifting.
Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) manages rear wheel traction, which adds confidence and peace of mind for all experience levels. The engine returns 40km/L (2.5l/100km, 94.1mpg) (WMTC mode); this gives a potential range of up to 600km from the 15L fuel tank.
3.2 Chassis
Fittingly, a classic steel tube cradle frame provides just the right look for the GB350S. It balances longitudinal, lateral and torsional rigidity and draws out the suppleness of steel for perfect feel. The rigid swingarm is constructed from 60 x 30mm box section steel, for efficient torque transfer.
Rake and trail are set at 27°/120mm, with 45mm fork offset and wheelbase of 1,440mm. Seat height is a very manageable 800m; kerb weight is set at 178kg and there’s 168mm ground clearance.
The steering geometry, low centre of gravity, low seat height and wide pull-back handlebars make for stable – yet easy – handling. A 43° steering angle delivers a 2.3m minimum turning radius, for urban manoeuvrability. 41mm telescopic forks offer 106mm stroke and, with an eye on classic details, wear protective black rubber gaiters. Twin rear shocks also deliver 120mm travel and are nitrogen gas charged for enhanced damping control.
A single 310mm front disc is worked by a newly designed, and highly rigid, twin-piston caliper, the rear 240mm disc by single-piston caliper. Long-life friction material is used for the brake pads; the compact ABS modulator simplifies the hydraulic system for the rear brake. Wheels are elegant 14-spoke cast aluminium; the front ABS pulsar ring is minimised to accentuate the slender spokes and the 19-inch front is matched to a 17-inch rear. Tyres are Metzeler Tourance Next sized 100/90-R19 front and 150/70-R17 rear.
3.3 Styling & Equipment
The GB350S’s outline is the very definition of a clean and simple Honda roadster, with straightforward, timeless style that harks back to the iconic designs of the past. The shaping of the fuel tank and resin side panels – and the proportion between them – are evocative, as is the low ‘tuck-roll’ seat profile. Matching nimble front and rear mudguards are quality finishing touches.
Features like the distinctive circular headlight – with three upper and centred lower LED bulbs – and eye-shaped LED indicators add hints of subtle modernity and a unique light signature. And the blackout detailing which includes the beautifully finished engine (with its polished cooling fins), headlight surround, fork legs, swingarm, exhaust downpipes, wheels and rear springs make the classic lines standout even more.
Straightforward instrumentation is provided by compact, analogue speedometer offset from the ignition; a digital gear indicator is included as well as average/instantaneous fuel consumption, distance to empty and ECO indicator.
The rear indicators also incorporate an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function. Under hard braking, the hazard lights flash to warn other road users a hard stop is in process. The indicators also auto-cancel; rather than using a simple timer, the system compares front and rear wheel speed difference and calculates when to cancel the indication relative to the situation.
4. Accessories
A full range of Genuine Honda Accessories are available for the GB350S either individually or in carefully curated packs for user convenience.
The Style Pack enhances the GB350S appearance by adding accessories that complement the iconic design cues of the model. The pack includes:

Honda’s CL500 strikes a rich retro vein, drawing inspiration from the original CLs of the 60s and 70s. Using the A2-licence compatible twin-cylinder engine of Honda’s CB500 series, it applies a tubular diamond-structure steel frame, long-travel suspension and 19/17-inch front/rear wheel combination to good effect. With 25YM updates to comfort, ergonomics and visual style, it’s still ready for the rigours of urban travel as much as it is light off-road work. Its head-turning style has been amped up for 25YM with two new colours, whilst the rich details remain such as the rounded fuel tank, knee pads, rubber fork gaiters and an upswept dual-exit exhaust muffler with drilled heat shield. All lighting is LED, and the LCD screen is now easier to read in bright light.
1. Introduction
Honda has a long history of getting smaller capacity bikes just right for riders around the world. A combination of easy usability, useful engine performance, affordability and distinct individuality equal motorcycles that, over time, come to mean so much to their owners.
The CLs from the ‘60s and ‘70s were such bikes, proving that a lightweight bike with off-road dynamics was great fun around town. Latterly, the high-barred, high-piped style has become an iconic signature for many 21st century riders.
Click forward 5 decades and, in 2018, the A2 licence compatible CMX500 Rebel arrived in the Honda range. Its ‘old school meets new school’ take on custom cool was an instant hit – and extremely customisable. And as a package – engine, chassis and styling – it’s proved irresistible to a legion of young riders and has quietly got on with the business of being the top-selling custom bike in Europe for the last three years.
Five years later it was time for something new and for 23YM Honda introduced, once again, a bike proudly wearing the CL badge – for riders who like to be that bit different. The CL500 draws heavily on the formula of the originals, with the right look, right engine and durability to go with the urban rough and tumble.
Mechanically unchanged for 25YM – apart from some minor visual and ergonomic updates – the CL500 carries on with individuality as standard fit, and huge custom potential, as seen in the metal at Wheels and Waves 2024, and online at www.hondacustoms.com
2. Model Overview
The development concept used from the start of the CL500 project was ‘Express Yourself’. Deliberately targeting a young, style-conscious demographic, it’s a bike designed to fit neatly into an owner’s lifestyle with the ability to handle the daily commute, a long weekend ride, or even some light off-road – and to catch the eye while doing it.
The 471cc parallel twin-cylinder engine is Honda’s lively and popular A2 licence compatible powerplant that produces 34.3kW power and a healthy 43.4Nm torque, and thanks to 25YM revisions around the ECU and inclusion of an OBD2-2 sensor is now Euro5+ compliant.
The much-loved engine is paired with an assist/ slipper clutch-equipped six-speed gearbox, which features short final drive gearing to serve up smart around-town acceleration both from a standing start and through the gears.
A tubular steel trellis-style main frame is both a statement of style and the foundation of easy handling. Long-travel suspension comprises 41mm telescopic forks and adjustable rear shocks while the wheels – 19-inch front and 17-inch rear – wear Dunlop block-pattern tyres. Newly optimised footpeg positioning is matched to a revised seat construction, for increased rider comfort. Both front and rear brakes feature ABS modulation specifically balanced for excellent performance on a variety of surfaces, including light off-road.
The CL’s comprehensive specification includes LED lighting front and rear, a compact negative LCD instrument panel, as well as the latest safety systems such as Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology that operates the rear indicators as hazard lights under sudden, hard braking.
The 25YM CL500 will be available in the following colour options:
Pearl Dusk Yellow *NEW*
Mat Laurel Green Metallic
Mat Fresco Brown *NEW*
Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic
3. Key Features 3.1 Styling & Equipment
‘Simple, Raw and Tough’ were the three words that set the tone and direction for the CL500’s styling team. The street scrambler style looks right wherever it rolls with the added benefit of ergonomics that make for a bike that’s very easy to ride in a variety of situations.
The combination of the clean, round fuel tank shape and upswept muffler with stainless steel heat shield strikes the nostalgia chords hard. And all the lovingly crafted details (the tank pads and rubber fork gaiters, the wadded, smooth outer seat skin with embossed Honda logo, high-level handlebars) combine to create a look that oozes charm. The paint options, all set against the completely blacked out engine and chassis, make each tank colour ‘pop’ vibrantly.
A low seat height of 790mm, in combination with a slim mid-section, offers easy ground reach and ample legroom. Featuring a new urethane foam material for enhanced comfort, it’s also designed to cover the frame rails for standing up and low rear section for easy pillion access. It also detaches easily with the ignition key and features a tucked-away helmet holder.
The high handlebars not only look good, they’re angled precisely to provide leverage both when standing up or sitting down, with off-road style grips and internal weights to reduce fatigue. The tank pads provide another contact point for the legs when standing; whilst the steel footpegs have been repositioned and feature rubber inserts for increased comfort.
The low-set 175mm diameter headlight has classic form but houses four LED bulbs with thick inner lenses for a distinctive frontal signature. Small, 55mm circular LED indicators feature classic looks and sit either side of a thin, ovalized LED taillight.
A neat, 100mm diameter circular display houses the negative LCD dash. Simple and uncluttered information delivery includes gear position indicator, fuel consumption and individual indicator arrows; a 25YM update is increased readability in bright light.
Hard, sudden braking operates the standard equipment Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) which flashes the rear indicators to alert road users behind, before auto-cancelling.
With fuel economy of 27.7km/L, a 12L capacity tank gives the CL500 a potential range of over 300km.
3.2 Engine
The CL500’s 471cc 8-valve, liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine is smooth, easy to use and thoroughly engaging. The hugely popular and durable unit has made its reputation in Honda’s CB(R)500 series and the CMX500 Rebel.
For the CL500, it features revised PGM-FI fuel injection mapping (updated for 25YM for OBD2-2 compliance) and a different intake and exhaust setup to deliver engaging torque of 43.4Nm @ 6,250rpm and peak power of 34.3kW @ 8,500rpm. For crisper acceleration through each gear the rear sprocket uses 41 teeth, versus the 40 used by the Rebel.
It’s a power unit that strikes a great balance between physical size and flexible output, with a willing delivery of both mid-range torque and top end power that has made it one of Honda’s most-loved engines. Bore and stroke is set at 67mm x 66.8mm with compression ratio of 10.7:1. Internally the cylinder head uses roller rocker arms; shim-type valve adjustment allows them to be light, for lower valve-spring load and reduced friction.
A silent (SV Chain) cam chain has the surface of its pins treated with Vanadium, reducing friction with increased protection against dust. Friction is further reduced by the addition of striations on the piston skirt (a finish that increases surface area, introducing gaps in which oil can flow for better lubrication).
The crankshaft pins are phased at 180° and a primary couple-balancer sits behind the cylinders, close to the bike’s centre of gravity. The balancer gears use scissor gears, reducing noise. The crank counterweight is specifically shaped for couple-balance and its light weight allows the engine to spin freely, with reduced inertia. Inlet valve diameter is 26.0mm with exhaust valve diameter of 21.5mm.
The crankcases use centrifugally cast thin-walled sleeves. Their internal design reduces the ‘pumping’ losses that can occur with a 180° phased firing order. A deep oil sump holds 3.2L.
Slick to use up or down, the six-speed gearbox is designed to offer effortless changes, especially around town. An assist/slipper clutch helps with rear wheel control, lightens the lever operation load and reduces rider fatigue.
In iconic CL style the exhaust twin-pipe muffler is upswept and fed by 2-1 downpipes. The note is tuned for heavier low-frequency sound compared to the Rebel, with a similar pulsing feel. A new OBD2-2 exhaust sensor ensures EURO5+ compliance.
3.3 Chassis
The tubular diamond-structure steel frame provides the handling ability, ride comfort and foundation of style for the CL500. It’s beautifully simple, with strong tubes and loop-shaped rear subframe. Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) was employed to get the rigidity and weight balance optimised perfectly.
A scrambler-style bike must cope with it all – from rough city streets to uneven dirt roads and the goal for the chassis was to create light, responsive handling with suspension that can absorb the hits. Ground clearance is 155mm; caster angle is set at 27° with trail of 108mm and 1,485mm wheelbase. Kerb weight is 192kg.
Up front, 41mm telescopic forks feature 150mm travel and wear classic black fork gaiters. While adding period style they also protect the legs and seals from dust and damage. The top and bottom yokes are CL-specific and enhance steering accuracy and feel.
At the rear, an elegantly simple swingarm uses 45mm round tubing to muscular effect. Long-stroke twin rear shocks offer 145mm travel and 5-step spring preload adjustment (3 up from standard, 1 down). Damping at both ends is set to deliver a supple, comfortable ride no matter the road surface.
A two-piston front caliper works a 310mm floating disc through sintered pads. The hydraulic pressure between the front and rear single-piston caliper/240mm disc is balanced to provide hlgh levels of braking control on a wide range of surfaces. The ABS too is optimised for use on dirt tracks as well as asphalt.
The wheels are a 19-inch front/17-inch rear combination for confident grip and light handling across varying terrain. Tyres are deep-groove Dunlop Mixtours, sized 110/80 R19 front and 150/70 R17 rear.
4. Accessories
A full range of Genuine Honda accessories are available for the CL500, ready for personalisation to owner preference. The rear subframe is designed for easy fitment of cosmetic parts or the soft rear pannier; a rear rack also mounts the 38L top box. There’s also the option of a 30mm higher seat – finished in brown with black double stitching – for taller riders.

In receiving its boldest transformation yet, the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT takes another significant leap forward and accelerates further ahead of the chasing pack.
THE LONG DISTANCE BEAST just got even more radical, fulfilling its design brief to meet incredible dynamism, taking the Sports Tourer category to exceptional new heights.
Already the most extreme bike in its segment, it has adrenaline rush at its core, boasting class-leading technology, superior handling, and an engine package that is now more powerful and torque-rich than ever before. It’s a refined package that delivers more muscle and aggression than its predecessors.
Now boasting a displacement of 1350 cc and sharing the same LC8 V-twin engine as the 2024 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R EVO, performance is further optimised on the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT, taking this new generation sports tourer to new heights. A centrally positioned ram air intake, a redesigned air box and a wider radiator are just a few enhancements that boost both power and efficiency, taking its capabilities to the next level.
Riders can take full advantage of revised gearing that makes fifth and sixth gears far more effective, resulting in better use of the rpm range – they’re no longer considered to be overdrive gears at moderate speeds, which makes for a more READY TO RACE motorcycle. The goal was clear: to create an exceptionally fast road bike with serious track ambitions, delivering peak performance in every scenario. The Kiska design team has gone to town on every single angle, developing superior, more compact ergonomics that are beneficial to this machine’s soul purposes: enabling riders to spend long hours in the saddle, whilst being able to unleash its improved performance – whether on tour or on track. An all-new signature LED headlight and simplified brake light with integrated turn signals add to the bike’s bold styling, complete with a lower profile that emphasises its most up to date chassis.
The 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT receives the latest-generation chassis from THE BEAST, the 2024 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R EVO. This chassis provides increased torsional stiffness and a lower centre of gravity, offering optimal front tyre feedback for superior control. Stability, combined with agile, sporty handling, has been further refined through the addition of the latest generation WP APEX Semi Active Technology (SAT) suspension front and rear. Comfort Mode has also been heavily revised, improved for those longer days in the saddle. This was a major focus during the development phase and is where riders will notice the biggest difference from the previous generation model. This setup enhances sensitivity and responsiveness, offering greater customisation options for a more dynamic and adaptable riding experience.
Blistering performance requires equally strong stopping power, which is achieved by the proven Brembo systems. Up front, a set of four-piston Stylema monoblock calipers grip 320 mm floating discs, while the rear is equipped with a Brembo twin-piston floating caliper and a 240 mm disc for precise, controlled braking. A new MCS (multi-click-system) front brake lever enables increased adjustability, while Cornering ABS, Supermoto ABS, as well as the new Supermoto+ and Sport ABS modes provide riders with multiple options.
Fitted with lightweight Michelin Power 6 tyres that feature dual compound technology, straight line and cornering grip has been increased. Additionally, a new Tyre Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) with improved functionality allows riders to set a custom pressure for track riding.
A state-of-the-art electronics package has been developed, offering class leading rider aids and a new Ride Mode concept. Its revolutionary 8.8 inch TFT (H88) touchscreen dashboard benefits from a simplified menu structure, while the CCU3.0 also ensures seamless reconnection with your smartphone on every ignition cycle. Further functionality includes Offline Map Navigation, with relevant safety features integrated, operational at the press of a button on the all-new handlebar switch cubes. The full information on the new H88 dashboard can be found HERE.This high-tech experience extends to the Ride Modes, which have been completely reworked. The standard modes now include Rain, Street, Sport, and an all-new Custom mode. Additionally, there are two optional Custom configurations and an optional Track Mode, enhancing personalisation capabilities. To keep tech levels at an all-time high, a Front Radar has been added, offering features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Brake Assist, Distance Assist and Group Riding. Demo Mode is also available for the first 1,500 km, allowing customers to sample all the available tech and make an informed decision on which tech pack best suits their needs.Representing a major step forward in improved street riding character that doesn’t compromise capabilities on the track, the opportunities are endless aboard the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT. More of a BEAST than ever before, the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT is poised and prepared to go the distance.
A full selection of KTM PowerParts and KTM PowerWear have also been developed for 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT riders, providing first-class personalisation options purposely crafted to elevate performance and protection, no matter how far or fast the journey.

The ‘Flying Flea’ has landed, Royal enfield enters a new era; launches new electric vehicle brand.
Marking a major milestone in the company’s 123+ years of history, Royal Enfield proudly enters the EV space by announcing the launch of its completely new electric vehicle brand, Flying Flea. The expression of Royal Enfield’s commitment to keep moving forever forward, this new brand of electric vehicles continues a legacy of innovation and builds a unique, and exciting range of urban and city+ motorcycles for the global electric motorcycle marketplace and beyond.
This new Flying Flea brand takes inspiration from the original Royal Enfield Flying Flea motorcycle of the 1940s, a landmark in automotive engineering and design. Though it was purpose-built for use during WWII when these amazing machines were airdropped via parachute to provide lightweight, easy-to-use all-terrain mobility, it was later embraced by civilians too for city exploration purposes. This lightness, agility and adaptability returns with the Flying Flea brand and its upcoming range of electric vehicles.
Speaking about what Royal Enfield brings to the Flying Flea and to electric mobility, Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director, Eicher Motors Ltd., said: “Ever since the wheels began turning in 1901, Royal Enfield has been an ally for exploration and pure motorcycling experiences for millions of riders. For more than 123 years now, as Royal Enfield has evolved with time, emerged through challenges and grown to be a global motorcycling brand, our mission of pure motorcycling has been preserved and nurtured, and has become our true-north. Today, as we get ready to script a new chapter for Royal Enfield, this mission has been the driving force and inspiration, and is the link between Royal Enfield and the Flying Flea, our new brand for super fun, gorgeous and enjoyable urban-plus mobility. This is a significant step in our evolution as a brand and an opportunity for us to distill the essence of Royal Enfield DNA combined with all the great benefits of EV technology and bring something absolutely delightful and differentiated to the world of city-plus mobility.”
Announcing the creation of the brand and showcasing of its first two models at the global launch event in Milan ahead of EICMA, B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield added: “It is an especially exciting moment for us, as we present the new Flying Flea brand at EICMA. This represents a completely new chapter for Royal Enfield, inspired by our legacy, driven by our vision for the future and an outcome of REBALANCE, our approach to business. Flying Flea combines distinctive style, city-focussed practicality, and cutting-edge technology. This is the start of a fresh, sustainable ride for us, and offers the world an elegant, effective and sustainable everyday transportation.”
He further added: “We’ve been deeply investing in R&D and infrastructure for EV over the last many years, and have built a world-class team including 200+ engineers in India and the UK. We have also initiated the development of an EV manufacturing plant in Chennai, India. We have invested in Barcelona-based Stark Future known for its advanced off-road electric motorcycles. All aspects of our connected electric motorcycles, including product strategy and development, technical components like motor, battery, BMS, custom software, and our retail and market strategy have been developed in-house by our dedicated technical and commercial teams.”
Speaking specifically about the brand launch and models unveiled at the launch event, Mario Alvisi, Chief Growth Officer of Electric Vehicles for Royal Enfield said:“Flying Flea is not just a new division but a completely fresh start in every respect; when we say this is a city+ platform, this is to say Flying Flea allows riders to break free to and from the city with a truly moving and visceral riding experience. This is much more than a new brand from Royal Enfield – this is a whole new approach from the brand. We have worked tirelessly to assemble a world-class team and culture, invested in a groundbreaking infrastructure, class-leading technology and have formed both the brand and products from a blank sheet of paper. With no carryover, no crossover and no cutting of corners the end result is products unlike any other in the market. These products not only offer a sophisticated mix between authentic design and cutting-edge technology, but are purpose-built for a whole new space. Flying Flea is for those who will not accept compromises in design and functionality, who seek technology that heightens their experiences and value ease of operation, ownership and, above all, enjoyment.”
The first model under Flying Flea to hit the road next year will be the FF-C6. Taking inspiration from the original Flying Flea model, this is a modern interpretation with a sophisticated, distinct aesthetic coupled with class-leading technology. This will be the first motorcycle to bring to life the core pillars of the Flying Flea brand:
Authentic retro-futuristic style– The authentic and unmistakable design is highlighted by the first-of-its-kind contemporary reimagining of the original Flying Flea front suspension, featuring a forged aluminium Girder fork and articulating mudguard. This fork style was synonymous with pre-1930s motorcycles, and the original Flying Flea notably elevated this style with an elegant ‘rubber band’ style girder fork. This focal point of an already distinctive design is not only carried forward with the new Flying Flea but reinvented and completely modernised, a ground-up redesign of which results in a unique riding experience only available on the FF-C6.
The flowing forged aluminium frame provides a lightweight yet strong structure with a timeless silhouette, while the magnesium battery case utilises organic design language for optimal weight saving and cooling. The design theme of the battery fins is emblematic of the Flying Flea’s ethos, fusing tradition and technology. The dynamic front fins, arranged in odd sequences, represent innovation and modern technology while the elegant rear fins, placed in even sequences, embody tradition and legacy. Both clusters of fins twist and turn, eventually merging seamlessly into a graceful wing-shaped motif at the centre. A true round touchscreen cluster maintains classic lines alongside high-tech functionality.
Cutting Edge Technology– Cutting-edge connected features utilise a myriad of native technologies for a seamless experience both on and off the bike – 28 patents have been filed in the last six months alone, with further advancements coming by the day. Bespoke software, developed in-house constantly monitors and optimises riding experience, from improving mileage to creating a captivating riding feel. To leverage the full capabilities of the FF-C6 we have developed a central Vehicle Control Unit, which integrates all the physical and digital touch points, powered by a tailor-made chip made specifically for FF. This VCU enables over 200,000 different ride mode combinations, constantly monitors your bike when you are away to alert if it is disturbed or moved, and is always up to date with Over The Air updates and feature additions. The ride modes allow the user to tailor their experience not just for economy or comfort but for sheer enjoyment through nuanced adjustments to throttle, brake and regen feel – allowing your bike to change as your mood, your roads and your needs do. The phone as a key technology allows you to simply jump on and ride away.
Accessible and Exciting Riding Experience – Effortless twist-and-go visceral acceleration creates an intoxicating mix of pace and fun with lean angle sensing ABS, alongside efficient and capable highway cruising with cruise control. Easy and fast charging at a domestic 3-pin plug coupled with ample range to explore your city. Easy handling paired with lightweight components result in an infinitely usable, uncomplicated and encouraging ride regardless of your ability.
With these underlying core pillars Flying Flea will allow riders to move within and around the city in a sustainable way, connecting both with technology and your surroundings. This is the beginning of a new breed of electric mobility for those who choose to travel with style, with purpose and for fun as well as necessity.
Those who are interested in receiving updates about the Flying Flea brand can subscribe to: http://flyingflea.royalenfield.com/, and be sure to follow the all-new Flying FleaInstagram page which is active from today.

The street-legal machine is designed primarily for offroad use and is powered by a 5.5 kWh Li-Ion battery that offers a WMTC range of up to 137 kilometres and a running time of up to three hours. Together with an 11 kW motor that provides a peak power output of 19.2 kW and 37.6 Nm of torque, the Pioneer features a chassis developed exclusively for the new model to ensure an unrivalled riding experience.
The Pioneer is expertly crafted around a chromium-molybdenum frame for assured durability and performance. Selectable ride modes further enhance the exceptional riding experience that the Pioneer offers. With three options to suit varying abilities as well as the terrain, the perfect amount of power is always delivered to the rear wheel. In addition, Traction Control can be activated in conjunction with any ride mode, while three levels of energy recuperation for the battery are available. All options are easily engaged using the handlebar-mounted switch cube.

With no clutch or gearbox, the Pioneer offers beginners an easy introduction to riding motorcycles, while allowing those with more experience to master more technical terrain with ease. Adding to the simplicity of riding the machine is the rear brake, which is operated by a lever on the left side of the ProTaper handlebars.
A 5.5 kWh Li-Ion battery provides up to three hours of running time and can be replaced with a fully charged spare within 10 minutes if required. Using the supplied 660 W charger, a full recharge can be achieved in eight hours using a standard household supply. With the Pioneer designed to be ridden offroad in all conditions, the battery, motor and all connected components are rated IP 67, making them all fully dust and waterproof.
Adjustable WP suspension, offering 250 mm of travel front and 240 mm of travel rear, ensures all riders can customise the settings to suit their requirements. The WP XACT forks feature an air spring, and the Pioneer is supplied with the pump required to adjust the pressure. Additionally, the compression and rebound can be fine-tuned using the easy-access clickers. The WP XPLOR PDS rear shock offers both high and low speed compression, rebound and preload adjustment to ensure maximum comfort and traction.
To underline the quality specification of the exciting Pioneer model, the machine is equipped with ProTaper handlebars, Braktec brakes and Michelin enduro tyres.
