Muc-Off Announces EAV Partnership

Muc-off Announces Eav PartnershipMuc-Off, the global leaders in bicycle and motorcycle care and performance is proud to announce its new partnership with EAV, a leading provider of sustainable urban transport solutions.

Muc-Off will become the approved bike care provider for EAV’s entire fleet of vehicles from January 2023, marking a significant milestone for both companies. In recent years, Muc-Off has expanded its product offering to include eBike specific lubricants and componentry, to cater to the growing global demand for electric assisted transportation. EAV will benefit from the bike care market leaders’ twenty-nine years of expertise in developing high-quality products, that will ensure the vehicles consistently perform at their best, whilst also extending their life.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with EAV and to have the opportunity to help keep their fleet in prime condition. Electric bikes, scooters, and vehicles have blown up in popularity in recent years, as we continue to see the migration towards more environmentally friendly travel solutions. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Muc-Off; this partnership allows us to take our commitment to the planet to a new level.” Alex Trimnell, CEO of Muc-Off.

The large majority of EAVs currently on the road are being used in a commercial capacity, particularly for ‘last-mile-delivery’ in densely populated, congested, urban areas. Subsequently, reliability and durability are of paramount importance, which is why Muc-Off will be supplying products from their CleanProtect, and Lube ranges, including their eBike specific lubricants which are built to withstand the higher torque loads produced by the EAV motor, as well as their Inner Tube Sealant to keep their vehicles running as efficiently as possible, from the drivetrain to the tyres.Muc-off Announces Eav Partnership

“The majority of our customers are early adopting pioneers within their respective industries, replacing an increasing portion of their legacy fleet with our progressive eCargo solutions. Therefore, it’s imperative that our vehicles are as reliable as the diesel vans they are replacing. Our partnership with Muc-off, who are undoubtedly the world leaders in bicycle and motorcycle care, will give our customers access to a fantastic set of products that will maintain our vehicles to the highest standard, keeping their fleet of EAVs ready for daily operation and best representing their brand. Crucially, with Muc-Off sharing our own focus towards sustainability, this partnership will achieve both maximum value for our customers and a positive environmental effect.” Adam Barmby, CEO & Founder of EAV.

The partnership forms part of Muc-Off’s Project Green initiative, the brand’s ongoing commitment to reducing the environmental impact of their products and operations. Muc-Off have successfully eliminated 158 tonnes of plastic since the campaign launched back in 2020, thanks to launches of products like Punk Powder, the world’s first plastic-free bike cleaner, as well as several sustainable packaging updates, in-store refill programme, and eco-focussed partnerships such as this.

BSA is back in Bristol

Bsa Is Back In BristolClassic British motorcycle brand returns to Fowlers.

BSA Motorcycles make a welcome return to Fowlers spectacular city-centre showrooms in Bristol, after a gap of 50+ years.

Fowlers first started selling new BSAs in 1954 and the bikes were so popular that they became a spares distributor in 1959, but that ended when BSA ceased production in 1973.

Following the acquisition of BSA by Classic Legends in 2016, and the launch of the brand-new Gold Star in 2021, production has restarted, and Fowlers has become an official BSA dealer for Bristol once more.

Instantly recognisable as a BSA, the reborn Gold Star inherits the soul of its forerunners and combines it with modern technology, to deliver an authentic and reliable BSA riding experience. This modern classic is powered by a 45hp 650cc single-cylinder engine – a tribute to the original model – and is built using high quality components, such as Brembo brakes, with Continental dual channel ABS and Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres.

The addition of BSA brings the total number of manufacturers represented by Fowlers to sixteen, covering everything from scooters and commuters to superbikes and off-roaders, as well as two 100% electric brands.

Alongside new motorcycles, Fowlers also offers a huge selection of clothing and accessories. Routine servicing and maintenance is provided on site in Fowlers’ well-equipped workshops and visitors can refuel and relax in Harry’s Café on the mezzanine above the showroom floor.

Gareth Keys Confirmed As Host Of Motorcycle Plus Show

Gareth Keys Confirmed As Host Of Motorcycle Plus ShowFormer road racer and voice of so many races, Gareth Keys, has been confirmed as host and compere of the Motorcycle Plus Show at Eikon Centre, Lisburn on February 4-5.

The packed weekend of all things motorcycling will see Gareth organising interviews, question and answer sessions and making sure all attendees know what is happening throughout the two days.

Kenny Gardner, from organisers, 360 Events, said they were delighted to welcome Gareth to the Motorcycle Plus Show.

“Not only was Gareth a renowned racer in his own right, but he has also become a commentator that we can rely on for in-depth knowledge of racing,” he said. “To have him host is an honour, and we know that he will help make sure it will be an experience for everyone.”

The Lisburn man said he was delighted to be part of the show that brings all aspects of biking up close and accessible.

“I’m super excited for this year’s Motorcycle Plus Show at the Eikon Centre, even more excited to be a part of it,” Gareth explained. “I have been going to motorcycle shows like this since I was a child.

“I was always amazed by the range of bikes and how easy it was to meet my heroes and motorbikes that I would only ever see on TV.”

He said that he feels this will be an enjoyable weekend for everyone who will be at the Eikon Centre.

“For the first year of 360 Events running the show, I have been tasked with scheduling riders for interviews, Q&A sessions and basically having as much fun as we can,” he explained.

“Some of our sports celebrities have kindly agreed to be involved and are just as excited as we are. “I can’t wait to see you all to kick off the season just like we used to, and finally get some bikes back in February for 2023.”

Kenny Gardner explained the Motorcycle Plus Show has been specifically designed for motorsports enthusiasts.

“Primarily, we will be using the show to showcase all forms of motorsport and motorcycling, if it has an engine and wheels, we intend it to be there,” he said. “Attractions will also include rider appearances, interviews, Q&A sessions, and not just established stars, but also up and coming riders from on and off-road disciplines who will become household names in the future.

“As an innovation, there will be advice from experts on securing and keeping sponsors, Social Media use and lifestyle advice which will be useful for young competitors from all disciplines.

“This is in line with our stated aim of helping to establish a Motorsport Academy for all forms of motorsport to make sure our rising stars get the best advice and guidance possible on their career path.

“Race Teams will be there with their 2023 line-ups, both on and off road, 2023 street bike models, accessories, gear, and lots more so plenty for everyone to see and do.

“Governing bodies will be in attendance with advice and guidance on their various Championships, how to start racing and competing, and of course officiating and marshalling, as well as various Clubs promoting their own events, alongside trade and dealer stands.”

Gareth said that the return of the event with 360 Events helps make sure that the sport kicks off the season in style, and with massive benefits for all attending.

“The motorcycle show that was always held at the beginning of every year really set the tone for all two wheeled championships,” he explained. “I never knew really how significant the show really was to the racers until I became one myself.

“Everyone at the show from the big dealers to the smaller clubs would make a huge difference in my racing career, if it was with sponsorship or advice on even what the best helmet was to wear or tips like what the best line to take at what corner.”

Gareth became a commentator after his racing career was cut short.

“My road racing career was unfortunately brought to a premature end at a race in Armoy where I unfortunately had a nasty crash and broke my leg badly,” he explained. “I’ve had worse crashes, but this was just a deal breaker for me.

“At this stage, I was already dabbling in commentary at some supermoto events, but I would quickly find myself commentating at most road race/short circuit events and love every minute of it.

“It allows me to give something back to our sport, much like the Motorcycle Plus show will do.”

Previously the show was held for a number of years under different guises starting with the Enkalon Club in the Antrim Forum and finally with Nutt Promotions in the Eikon Centre in 2019.

The Motorcycle Plus Show will take place at Eikon Centre in Lisburn on February 4-5, 2023. For tickets go to www.motorcycleplusshow.co.uk

All online bookings will be entered into a free raffle to win prizes such as a small motorbike, discounted ferry bookings and other prizes.

More details on the prizes will be confirmed but there are vouchers to the value of £1000, £300, £100, 4 ball golf voucher, and money off ferry travel vouchers to be had from Hursts, Crossan’s, Norman Watt Motorcycles, Edenmore Golf Club and Nutt Travel.

“These are exciting times and another great reason to purchase tickets for yourself and your biking friends and be in with a chance of picking up some excellent prizes,” Kenny concluded.Gareth Keys Confirmed As Host Of Motorcycle Plus Show

Goodwood Revival to honour Carroll Shelby

Goodwood Revival To Honour Carroll ShelbyToday – 11 January 2023 – on what would have been Carroll Shelby’s 100th birthday, Goodwood is delighted to announce that the legendary American driver, car manufacturer and entrepreneur will be celebrated at this year’s Goodwood Revival, over the weekend of 8-10 September 2023.

The centenary of Shelby’s birth will be honoured with one of Goodwood’s signature tributes, comprising cars that were not only raced, but also designed and developed by the 1959 Le Mans winner. Running across the weekend, the celebration will include the likes of the MG-TC in which Shelby competed for the very first time, in 1952.

Shelby’s impact on motor racing can be seen each and every year at the Revival, and 2023 will be no different, as an assortment of Cobras – the Anglo-American sports cars for which he is best known – are set to take to the track in the all-star Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration. Meanwhile, the Whitsun Trophy will host a number of examples of the Ford GT40, whose design Shelby played such an integral part in refining.

As Goodwood celebrates 75 years of the Motor Circuit, and 25 years of the Revival, it’s a chance to reflect on the motorsport legends who have joined us over the years. Carroll Shelby is no exception, having raced at Goodwood during the Circuit’s heyday in arguably one of the most important and dramatic races in the annals of British motorsport: the 1959 RAC Tourist Trophy. This race saw him share the winning DBR1/300 with his co-drivers Jack Fairman and Stirling Moss – the latter a late addition after his own car was eliminated in a spectacular fire during a routine pit stop. Earlier in the season, Shelby had won Le Mans, sharing the same DBR1 with Roy Salvadori, and victory in the Tourist Trophy secured the World Championship for Aston Martin.

Once racing returned to Goodwood with the institution of the Revival, Shelby wasn’t far behind, attending the third iteration of the event in 2000 where he ran a Shelby Daytona Coupe driven by American IndyCar champion and F1 driver Danny Sullivan.

In what is a momentous year for Goodwood, we are very much looking forward to celebrating Carroll Shelby as an iconic figure, whose legacy is keenly felt at Goodwood and in the wider motorsport world.

Goodwood held a very special place in my grandfather’s heart,” said Aaron Shelby, board member of Carroll Shelby International. “He competed there as a driver in an Aston Martin and returned to race at the Circuit with the Shelby American team cars during the 1960s. Carroll attended the Goodwood Revival with his Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, and as a Word War II aviator he especially admired the vintage warbird exhibit. We’re honoured that the Duke of Richmond and his team have chosen to honour the 100thanniversary of Carroll’s birthday this year. We look forward to a marvellous weekend at the Goodwood Revival.

The Duke of Richmond said: “It’s such a privilege to be celebrating Carroll Shelby at the Goodwood Revival this year. He was a good friend and I remember when Carroll first came to the Revival back in 2000 – having raced and famously won at Goodwood in the 1959 TT – bringing with him his infectious personality and competitive spirit. It will be wonderful to see those glorious cars that Carroll raced and designed in action at Goodwood once again over the weekend.”

Taking place across the weekend, the Shelby tribute will join the full race schedule for the Goodwood Revival, Friday 8 – Sunday 10 September. Goodwood Revival To Honour Carroll Shelby

Oxford Celebrates Its 50th Birthday In 2023!

Oxford Celebrates Its 50th Birthday In 2023!Still family-owned and family-run, the company has developed from the humblest of beginnings into the UK’s largest distributor of two-wheel aftermarket products and created an international brand to be reckoned with in all corners of the globe.

Now into its 51st year, the Oxfordshire-based brand packs an impressive punch, boasting a range of around 12,000 motorcycle and bicycle products, each one designed, developed and tested in-house at the firm’s R&D centre, part of their 150,000 sq ft empire in Oxfordshire. In the UK, the company also distributes several thousand product lines from some key global brands. And it all started in 1973 with the humble top box…

“Motorcycling was somewhat different in those days,” begins Oxford founder and Chairman, Alec Hammond, who back in 1973 was a 28-year-old sales manager working in the pharmaceutical industry. “There were massive numbers of folk riding to work and luggage hardly existed.”

Around that time, Alec was introduced to a Nottinghamshire-based innovator who had created a range of high-quality top boxes but had no idea how to get them to market.

“I agreed to show some samples to a few motorcycle dealers whilst travelling in the course of my job,” continues Alec. “The top boxes got a massive thumbs up from several dealers who clamoured to buy them. I became convinced that I could build a business in the motorcycle world, so I left my comfortable, secure job and pushed David to go into full-time production of the boxes.”

Oxford Celebrates Its 50th Birthday In 2023!

From fibreglass top boxes, Alec quickly branched out into bodywork, and it wasn’t long before the fledgling Oxford Fairings got into the sportier side of motorcycling.

“We got involved with racing fairly early on,” says Alec, “sponsoring several riders with our fairings on Peckett-McNab Kawasakis. This evolved over time until I was running our own team in the equivalent of BSB and at the Isle of Man.”

Although still very much involved with racing through the title sponsorship of the Moto Rapido Ducati BSB team, the Oxford of today is a far cry from those early days marketing fibreglass fairings and top boxes. In the early 1980s, Alec started manufacturing motorcycle locks, then came accessories – including the now legendary HotGrips, which were born in 1983 and have remained a constantly evolving product in Oxford’s line-up ever since.Oxford Celebrates Its 50th Birthday In 2023!

What is XRP and Why is Ripple Going Down?

Ripple is one of the top-traded digital assets on the Coinmarketcap ranking. It may be one of the most controversial projects in the crypto industry, and in this article, we will try to figure it out.

The Ripple company was founded long before the world heard about crypto. The platform was built for quick and convenient money transfers all around the world. Its XRP token plays a key role in currency conversion and delivery worldwide. Ripple rivals the popular SWIFT system used by banks.

The Ripple ledger is used by:

  • businesses and financial corporations – to ease currency conversion and transfer;
  • individuals – to send money around the world, converting it to any currency;
  • developers use it as a basis for products.

XRP token is a middle layer between fiat and crypto currencies, helping to convert them faster and conduct transactions in a matter of seconds. Compared with the SWIFT system, which takes a lot of time and charges fees.

Today Ripple price is $0.34. The rate does not change much, and the reason is a long-lasting lawsuit with the SEC. The commission demands the company recognise XRP as a security asset. It slows down the project’s growth.

Ripple partnered with over 100 financial organizations worldwide that use the technology to facilitate payment processes. Still, the company has an enormous potential to receive many more clients once it resolves issues with the SEC. So the Ripple coin price is likely to grow in the future.

Where to Track Live Ripple Price?

You can always visit the Coinmarketcap website to see the current prices of digital assets. If you need Ripple exchange and trade, welcome to the WhiteBIT platform. It is a reliable crypto trading service with various tools and over 450 traded pairs. Registered clients can buy digital assets with fiat and withdraw funds directly to a bank card.

The platform has an educational resource that publishes crypto news and descriptions of new projects, guides on trading, explanation of financial instruments, etc.

Heat to your fingertips in just a matter of seconds with one simple touch of the on/off switch; there’s no better way to combat the cold this winter.
Technology At Your Fingertips: Tucano Urbano’s New Heated Gloves
SEPPIAWARM
Fully CE-certified and ready to take on the winter months, the SEPPIAWARM gloves are heated on the palm and fingers for added warmth in any conditions, powered by a rechargeable 7.4V (2200 mAh) lithium battery* that will last for approximately 4 hours at max power (65.5 degrees Celsius). With a simple on/off power button and three heat settings – you don’t need to use an app or operate fiddly buttons, meanwhile, the battery is conveniently and ergonomically stored in a concealed pocket on the cuff with velcro closure.

The glove is waterproof and breathable thanks to its Hydroscud® inner membrane, polyester wadding on the palm and back, and a soft microfibre lining for added comfort and warmth. The palm is made with faux suede with goatskin leather inserts and features a flexible, abrasion-resistant rubber insert, a silicone print on the fingers for added grip, as well as being touchscreen compatible. The back is made with twill fabric, with a reflective design on the side and soft, approved protection on the knuckles.

Available in sizes XS-3XL, with a UK RRP of £179.99.

*Battery and charger included. Also sold separately for spares.

Tucano Urbano also introduced the HYDROWARM – CE-approved heated gloves in polyester fabric (RRP £149.99) – and the FEELWARM 2G – CE-approved heated gloves in a technical fabric (RRP £134.99) – both with D3O® abrasion-resistant inserts on the palm and long cuff.
