Progressive enduro machine provides the perfect solution to recreational riding.
Husqvarna Mobility continues to grow its electric motorcycle range by unveiling its exciting and all-new Pioneer. The street-legal machine is designed primarily for offroad use and is powered by a 5.5 kWh Li-Ion battery that offers a WMTC range of up to 137 kilometres and a running time of up to three hours. Together with an 11 kW motor that provides a peak power output of 19.2 kW and 37.6 Nm of torque, the Pioneer features a chassis developed exclusively for the new model to ensure an unrivalled riding experience.
The Pioneer is expertly crafted around a chromium-molybdenum frame for assured durability and performance. The unique chassis design incorporates the motor and battery as load-bearing components, which in turn reduces overall weight and contributes to the precisely calculated geometry and flex characteristics of the new machine.
Selectable ride modes further enhance the exceptional riding experience that the Pioneer offers. With three options to suit varying abilities as well as the terrain, the perfect amount of power is always delivered to the rear wheel. In addition, Traction Control can be activated in conjunction with any ride mode, while three levels of energy recuperation for the battery are available. All options are easily engaged using the handlebar-mounted switch cube.
The 11 kW electric motor used to power the Pioneer has been designed and developed in-house by Husqvarna Mobility. With no clutch or gearbox, the Pioneer offers beginners an easy introduction to riding motorcycles, while allowing those with more experience to master more technical terrain with ease. Adding to the simplicity of riding the machine is the rear brake, which is operated by a lever on the left side of the ProTaper handlebars.
A 5.5 kWh Li-Ion battery provides up to three hours of running time and can be replaced with a fully charged spare within 10 minutes if required. Using the supplied 660 W charger, a full recharge can be achieved in eight hours using a standard household supply. With the Pioneer designed to be ridden offroad in all conditions, the battery, motor and all connected components are rated IP 67, making them all fully dust and waterproof.
Adjustable WP suspension, offering 250 mm of travel front and 240 mm of travel rear, ensures all riders can customise the settings to suit their requirements. The WP XACT forks feature an air spring, and the Pioneer is supplied with the pump required to adjust the pressure. Additionally, the compression and rebound can be fine-tuned using the easy-access clickers. The WP XPLOR PDS rear shock offers both high and low speed compression, rebound and preload adjustment to ensure maximum comfort and traction.
To underline the quality specification of the exciting Pioneer model, the machine is equipped with ProTaper handlebars, Braktec brakes and Michelin enduro tyres.

Yamaha’s iconic Ténéré should need no introduction.
The bike which dominated the gruelling Paris Dakar Rally in the 1990s will forever be remembered as one of the many legendary motorcycles in Yamaha’s storied history, and the Ténéré 700 honoured that heritage when the path to the Next Horizon was unveiled in 2018.
Powered by the acclaimed CP2 engine and delivering genuine go-anywhere adventure riding in a lighter and more accessible package, the Ténéré 700 was an immediate success that has transformed the world of adventure motorcycling.
Despite increased competition, the Ténéré 700 has remained the best-selling bike in its class and now, for 2025, comes a new generation of Ténéré 700 set to build on the Ténéré legacy. It remains an exciting machine inspired by Yamaha’s rally successes but is now even more accessible to a wider range of motorcyclists.
Alongside a new standard Ténéré 700 comes a lower seat height variant with shorter travel suspension to create a motorcycle which appeals to riders who don’t want the tallest riding position while, conversely, the new Ténéré 700 Rally offers a true pumped-up off-road style ride and higher specification for the more discerning off-road enthusiast.
With a higher specification, bold new rally styling and subtle but important developments to the critically acclaimed CP2 platform, the 2025 Ténéré 700 range is a serious evolution which keeps Yamaha at the forefront of this increasingly popular class.
And while Yamaha has increased the specification of the Ténéré 700, witness the introduction of the YCC-T electronic throttle, riding modes and upgraded suspension, the design team has been careful not to add technology for technology’s sake. Electronic aids increase the rider’s engagement with the motorcycle, while never becoming overwhelming or unnecessary, while adjustments to meet the rider’s personal needs or road conditions are always simple to make and effective in delivery.
More than ever, the Ténéré 700 is the go anywhere motorcycle which enables riders to travel without limits. Its broad appeal makes it the go-to bike for a wide variety of riders, from daily riders who enjoy the appeal and presence only the iconic Ténéré brings, to serious off-road riders looking to take on more challenging terrain. With an A2 licence version available, the Ténéré 700 has riders of all ages and experience covered.
Where Ténéré leads, others are sure to follow in pursuit of the Next Horizon.
Latest Yamaha Adventure Design
Inspired by Yamaha’s famed rally raid bikes past and present, the 2025 Ténéré 700 sports an all-new look combined with ergonomics developed to be more effective for both road and off-road riding.
The silhouette of the Ténéré 700 has become iconic, standing tall and upright at the front end, before tapering to a compact tail unit. It takes on board the lessons gained through decades spent winning rally raids, harmoniously blending functionality, ergonomics and performance to deliver the most engaging ride in all conditions. The frontal design offers both excellent visibility and protection for the rider, thanks in no small part to the large one-piece windscreen, while the minimalist mid-to-rear section contributes to a riding position which gives the rider plenty of space in which to position their body, with special attention paid to riders who want to stand up and redistribute their body weight while riding off-road.
Compared to the previous model, the fuel tank has been moved forward, with great consideration taken to balance size with optimal ergonomics, while retaining the classic Ténéré design language. The top of the 16 litre tank now sits lower down than the one found on the previous generation model and these changes contribute to a more balanced weight distribution and better all-round handling.
The mid-section of the 2025 Ténéré 700 has been designed not only to facilitate a balanced visual transition between the front and rear of the bike, but also to provide a comfortable and effective saddle for the rider – an area in which they can easily move their body weight around as they hustle off road. The design is uncomplicated, with an emphasis on giving a secure contact patch between the bike and the rider’s legs, and to facilitate good air flow in both seated and standing positions. The new one-piece rally inspired seat is also classic Ténéré, being long and narrow in design and, compared to the previous two-piece design, provides greater freedom of movement while riding.
For all the practical reasons behind the styling, Yamaha’s design team have been keen to ensure they created an eye-catching motorcycle which captures the essence of off-road riding – after all, it is a Ténéré.
Viewed head on the Ténéré 700 gives the classic ‘rally tower’ look. The new headlamp design features four individual LED light units stacked in an aluminium structure, in the style of Yamaha’s contemporary rally racers, with the ‘Y’ shaped mount giving a distinctively fresh look. Where many adventure bikes can look bulky, the Ténéré 700’s new body panels convey a sense of lightness, yet remain tough and ready to handle whatever the rider throws at it. It’s a motorcycle which has genuine off-road capabilities and the 21″ front wheel is not just there for show. It has been designed to take on any roads, whether paved or not, with plenty of ground clearance and long travel suspension set to soak up even the worst of conditions. New colour-matched handguards not only confirm the Ténéré 700’s off-road credentials but have the practical benefits of giving the rider protection from the elements and any shrubbery which may be blocking the way.
Completing the Ténéré’s distinctive look are two emotive new colour schemes designed to emphasize the bike’s abilities. The standard and lower seat height models come with the choice of a Frozen Titanium, which enhances the rugged nature of the machine, or Yamaha’s classic Icon Blue – a variation on the classic livery which has graced YZ motocrossers and WR enduro bikes since 1996.
Race bred adjustable front suspension
Any off-road bike needs top level, long travel suspension design especially for the job, and the new Ténéré 700 benefits from race developed front suspension.
The new inverted forks are designed to take on even the most hostile terrain, with flex-resistant 43mm tubes and 210mm of front wheel travel (190mm on the low seat height version) contributing to an impressive 240mm of ground clearance (225mm on the low seat height version).
The front forks on the Ténéré 700 are now fully adjustable. Compression and rebound damping characteristics can be fine-tuned by turning screws at either end of the forks, while 15mm of preload adjustability is a new feature and is easily accessed through the adjuster atop each fork leg.
Yamaha’s design team have also developed new yokes, with a forged aluminium lower clamp and cast aluminium crown combining to deliver added strength while contributing to a very light and natural feeling motorcycle, with which the rider feels at one.
Rally developed rear suspension unit
Just as the new Ténéré 700’s front suspension exceeds expectations of a middleweight adventure bike, so the revised rear arrangement ups the ante with its plush action and easy to access remote adjuster.
Designed to offer a smooth and stable ride on road and off the beaten track, the new setup pairs a completely new rear linkage design with a revised rear shock absorber, which offers easy adjustability for preload, compression and rebound damping.
Developed as a result of feedback from Yamaha’s rally raid programme, the new progressive linkage increases suspension stroke while maintaining the same 200mm wheel travel as the previous Ténéré 700 (180mm for the low seat height version).
With a fastidious approach to improving suspension performance in the most demanding conditions, without compromising comfort in regular riding, the main body of the sophisticated rear shock absorber is made from aluminium due to its superior heat dissipation. This combines with a separate piggyback reservoir tank, which keeps the oil cool and is pressurized to prevent air bubbles forming when the shock absorber is fully extended. The remote adjuster has been designed to allow for changes to be made quickly and without any tools, while an oversized rubber bump stop provides additional cushion in extreme riding conditions.
The result is a rear suspension setup which provides outstanding rider feedback and consistent performance no matter how gruelling the conditions.
Premium dashboard and switchgear elevate the riding experience
The new Ténéré 700 range debuts a premium 6.3″ full-colour TFT dashboard with outstanding style and functionality.
Vertically stacked in a design inspired by rally raid roadbooks, the screen offers simple smartphone connectivity to unlock a host of features including the seamless integration of phone calls and messages, as well as music and turn-by-turn navigation through the MyRide app. These features can be controlled using the left-hand switchgear, meaning the rider is able to take control without having to stop or even take their hands off the handlebars.
To facilitate seamless integration with the user’s smartphone, the motorcycle comes with a USB-C charging point as standard. The outlet is protected by a waterproof cap and is conveniently situated at the right hand side of the cockpit, ensuring mobile devices remain fully charged on even the longest journeys.
The attention to detail doesn’t end there. Riders can choose from two distinctive dashboard themes, which present them with information in the way they best prefer. Street theme displays the information in a classic style, with the screen dominated with a digital visualization of an analogue tachometer, while the Explorer theme is more modern and dynamic, designed to be easy to read while riding off-road, which is achieved by positioning the key information front and centre in the rider’s view.
Whichever theme is selected, the new 6.3″ TFT display allows the rider to clearly check road speed, rpm and navigation, while other features include fuel gauge, average fuel consumption, ambient temperature and a gearshift indicator.
Complementing the new TFT readout are new switchgear cubes, which offer more functionality than those found on the previous generation Ténéré 700 and make scrolling through the many functions easy and intuitive. Ergonomically designed for easy operation, flexible printed circuits are used to allow each switch to handle more functions through the use of a five-direction joystick. Additionally, the turn signals have been upgraded, with new features added to the left hand switchgear: three-flash signaling or continuous indicators with auto-cancelling.
Updated CP2 engine with YCC-T
Yamaha’s critically acclaimed 690cc parallel-twin engine receives an update for the new Ténéré 700, most notably the adoption of the YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) which in turn facilitates switchable throttle maps for the first time on the CP2 platform.
The CP2’s linear power delivery and soulful nature has always been one of the Ténéré 700’s unique propositions and Yamaha’s engineers have worked hard to further improve these strengths while meeting the needs of EU5+ emissions regulations.
The ingredients remain the same, with the 270-degree crankshaft continuing to provide the heartbeat of this award-winning powerplant, however the introduction of YCC-T now gives riders the option of two selectable maps with different characteristics, Sport and Explorer, with the latter offering a softer power delivery. Switching modes is easy, simply by pressing a button on the right-hand switchgear, and gives the rider the throttle connection they prefer.
Also updated from previous Ténéré 700 editions is the air intake duct, which is now shorter and contributing to a fatter torque curve lower in the rev range, a particular benefit when riding off road.
A number of other mechanical updates have been introduced, all focused on improving the rider/machine connection. The clutch actuation position has been moved forward (35° clockwise), and a protector cover with a smooth, minimized shape has been added. These updates ensure that the clutch actuation point, and protector cover do not interfere with the rider’s leg, whether in a sitting or standing posture, giving more space for the rider to move around.
Other refinements include revised gearbox internals for a smoother gear shift. The number of convex dogs and concave dogs in the gears has been increased from five to six between first and third gears, to reduce shocks, while the dog angle has been modified on gears four through to six, reducing lash when coming on and off the throttle. The changes all add up to a more refined and capable motorcycle designed to be even more in tune with its rider.
Switchable ABS and TCS for ultimate off-road control
Giving the Ténéré 700 rider ultimate control in an off-road environment, the traction control and ABS systems may be switched off to hand over manual control on loose surfaces.
The TCS has two settings, on and off, and can be deselected via the menu on the TFT dashboard, while a large button at the side of the dash can be used to control the ABS settings.
For ABS, Mode 1 is the default and activates the anti-lock system on both wheels, in line with legal requirements for public roads, while Mode 2 deactivates ABS only on the rear. Mode 2 is particularly useful on light gravel tracks, allowing riders to assist their turning by spinning up the rear wheel but having the assurance of ABS on the front. Mode 3 turns off ABS intervention and hands full braking control to the rider, providing expert riders with maximum control on loose surfaces. These modes can be selected via the menu on the TFT dashboard. Additionally, for a faster and more convenient operation, a long press of the dedicated ABS button turns off the anti-lock system and TCS.
Tougher than the rest: steel frame gets even stronger
Ténéré 700 is the toughest middleweight in the market and its backbone remains a double cradle tubular steel frame mated to a gravity-cast aluminium swingarm, developed to offer outstanding strength and rigidity.
Constructed from high tensile steel pipe, the strength of the main frame material allows for thinner materials to be used – keeping the overall weight of the machine as low as possible. The frame’s downpipes work alongside the aluminium engine guard to protect the sump from severe damage in the event of heavy impact, while the integrated subframe facilitates full luggage options from the Genuine Yamaha Accessories range to be fitted.
The Ténéré 700’s seat height remains at 875mm (860mm for the low seat height version) and continues to be accessible to many riders thanks to its narrow stepover. The one-piece rally style seat is new and combines with the latest fuel tank and modified clutch cover to give more space for the rider to move around, allowing them to transition between road and off-road riding with total ease.
Ergonomically the riding triangle remains as per the much loved first generation model but comfort is improved thanks to a reshaping of the front section of the saddle. Passenger comfort is also improved, with the switch to a single unit seat helping to create a greater connection between rider and pillion.
The 2025 Ténéré 700 model features several significant improvements to increase strength and increase durability when ridden hard off-road. The silencer bracket has been upgraded and a patch has been added to the backstay. The mounting points of the accessory luggage carrier have also been strengthened, while the side stand switch has been redesigned and relocated following customer feedback.
Another important touchpoint of the Ténéré 700 has also been upgraded for the 2025 model with new, larger footrests coming as standard. First seen on the Ténéré 700 World Raid, the new footpegs are 10mm wider than those found on the previous model and really help the rider make steering inputs through the footpegs when riding on loose surfaces.
Ténéré 700 Rally: the toughest lightweight for those who can handle extreme riding
While the Ténéré 700 remains the go to motorcycle for adventurers looking to live without limits, the Ténéré 700 Rally offers an even more mouthwatering proposition for those who challenge themselves to take on more extreme riding.
To reflect this, the Ténéré 700 Rally takes on an even higher specification to further expand its capability.
Paying homage to the iconic Ténéré rally bikes of yesteryear, the Ténéré 700 Rally instantly shows its colours through its dedicated heritage-inspired livery and the iconic high front mudguard synonymous with rally raid machines. In a nod to the legendary Dakar winning machines of the 1980s, the solid blue bodywork is complemented with gold coloured rims and features the iconic speedblock design used on Yamaha factory racers of the time.
Giving more ground clearance and even greater levels of off-road control, the Ténéré 700 Rally gains longer travel suspension. Based on Yamaha’s hardcore Ténéré 700 Extreme, the Rally receives high end, fully-adjustable, KYB front forks. With strengthened tubes and a special coating to reduce stiction, the fork stroke is increased by 20mm over standard, to give a front wheel travel of 230mm. A similar stroke increase on the rear shock absorber contributes to a ground clearance of 255mm, giving the Ténéré 700 Rally the ability to tackle dunes and traverse rivers when the road gives way to nature.
Offering additional protection from tree stumps and rocky terrain, the Ténéré 700 Rally also boasts a tough 4mm aluminium sump guard, while the one-piece rally seat is also unique to the Rally variant.
The seat delivers a slightly different ergonomic package over the standard model, with a higher and more upright riding position to make it easier for the rider to move around on the bike. Thicker than the standard saddle and with a plush dual-material finish with an embossed Rally logo, the Ténéré 700 Rally offers extra comfort when seated and has a commanding seat height of 910mm.
Further attention to the Ténéré 700 Rally’s role as an extremely capable off-roader can be seen in the lightweight titanium footrests.
Just like the items seen on dedicated competition machines, the pegs are 228g lighter than standard and have a larger contact area. They are heavily serrated to reduce pressure on the rider’s boots, increasing grip and giving greater controllability for riders who like to influence steering through the footpegs.
The Ténéré 700 Rally also features an additional dashboard theme called Raid, a roadbook inspired layout which strips out much of the information valued on a road ride and prioritises trip-related information which is most useful when riding in the wilderness.
Confirming the bike’s rally raid credentials, the Ténéré Yamaha Rally Team riders Pol Tarrés and Alessandro Botturi will compete in major rally raid events utilizing GYTR kitted versions of the Ténéré 700 Rally.

A brawl at the start becomes a statement for the ages as one of the sport’s best ever battles sees #TheRematch roll on.
On Sunday, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) headed out to keep his World Championship hopes alive with a win at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia, and he did just that. It was a sensational ride from the #1, who put the hammer down after a breathtaking battle with Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) in the opening laps that will go down in history as one of the best duels the sport has ever seen. From there it was a cat and mouse to the finish, with Bagnaia finding enough to keep Martin at bay and reduce the gap to 24 points by the flag. And remember, the maximum score per weekend is now 37…
Behind them, Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) was able to grab the final spot on the podium in a crucial day for ‘The Beast’, who moved a step closer as he continues his fight for third position in the Championship against the very same Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) who crashed out from third after getting a box office seat for the duel at the front.
Once the lights went out, it was a good launch from Bagnaia but he was near side-by-side with Martin on the charge into Turn 1. However, a crash at Turn 2 involving Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™), Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) would bring out the red flag and reset the tense showdown once again before a lap was complete. Miller was taken for checks and deemed fit, Quartararo and Binder walked away, but the South African pulled in before the restart.
After that pique of adrenaline, the lights went out again, with Bagnaia making an incredible launch on take two, catapulting into the lead on the run to Turn 1. Martin was forced to slot into second, with Marc Marquez battling into the podium places on Lap 1. As soon as was possible at the head of the field though, it was GLOVES OFF. Martin made his first move on the opening lap, with Bagnaia instantly responding as the title fight kicked into another gear. Game on.
Bagnaia and Martin continued to lock horns, trading places and trading blows in the opening stages of a spectacular Malaysian GP. The tension was high as the lead continued to swap hands at every opportunity, with just inches separating them on the circuit. Paint was exchanged between the title rivals in the opening stages including one near bash on the straight, and with Marc Marquez watching on from behind in third place.
It was a true spectacle, with the two title contenders absolutely going at it… and still able to somehow pull a gap on those behind. By Lap 5 though, Bagnaia had made it stick and a small mistake from Martin saw a sliver of breathing space become the fastest lap from the #1 as he got the hammer down. Now it became a battle of a different kind.
Some more drama then hit near the front, and “What will Marc Marquez do?” got an earlier answer than the eight-time World Champion intended as he slid out, rejoining down the order. That left Bastianini in third as he’d pulled away from the group on the chase but not homed in on the front battle. Behind, Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) was fending off Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) for P4, and Quartararo wasn’t far off them either.
And then. Ater it could have seemed a foregone conclusion at the front, the gap suddenly started to come down. From over two seconds it disappeared in a tenth here and a tenth there, with Bagnaia either struggling or teasing. Just as it got below 1.5s, however, the #89 made a crucial mistake at Turn 9 – dropping a further eight-tenths behind. The possibility had proven strong but Martin didn’t falter with the temptation as much as Bagnaia may have been hoping, forced to settle for second but seemingly content to do so as his points advantage remains sizeable.
At the front, Bagnaia didn’t falter either, crossing the line to win by 3.141s on a critical day in the 2024 MotoGP™ World Championship. The Italian’s victory sees #TheRematch to roll on after defeating Martin in Malaysia, and after the duo served up a true, true all-time great duel.
Bastianini made one error to halt what seemed like it could be a possible charge, wide at the final corner, but kept it on the road thereafter to take that third place. Behind, Alex Marquez claimed fourth, with the #73 continuing to defend from Acosta in the closing stages of the Grand Prix. 1.469s separated the duo at the line as Quartararo heroically finished inside the top six after a stunning ride from the Frenchman on the restart, taking his and Yamaha’s best GP result of the season so far. The #20 placed ahead of Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ teammate Alex Rins as the #42 grabbed eighth.
The final spots on the top 10 spots were taken by Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Augusto Fernandez (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) as Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LRC) bagged 11th. Marc Marquez charged to P12 after rejoining, ending a strong recovery ride with points as Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing), Morbidelli, and Luca Marini (Repsol Honda Team) scored the final point on Sunday.
After Bagnaia was able to keep his title hopes in reach this weekend, it leaves everything to be decided at the finale! Make sure you keep up to date on motogp.com to find out the latest news regarding the final round of the season. We can guarantee two things: it will be a show like nothing else on earth… and it will be a show with purpose as we continue #RacingForValencia.

Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo) emerged victorious at the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia, with the Italian securing an incredible win after looking unstoppable on Sunday.
Vietti took glory by 1.486s, crossing the line in P1 ahead of Jorge Navarro (OnlyFans American Racing Team), who capped off an incredible weekend as he continued to impress while substituting for the injured Joe Roberts. Navarro took second ahead of Izan Guevara, who took a late podium for the CFMOTO RCB Aspar Team as he capitalised on an error from teammate Jake Dixon heading onto the final lap.
As the lights went out, Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing Team) made an incredible start, launching into P1 on the run to Turn 1. However, Vietti then made a key move, snatching the lead at Turn 1, with OnlyFans American Racing Team’s Ramirez and Navarro in pursuit. Ai Ogura (MT Helmets – MSI) also began to work hard at the start, charging into P2 and demoting Ramirez to third.
Ramirez would not wait long to respond, beginning to duel with Ogura before making the move stick at the end of Lap 1. Meanwhile, Vietti put down the hammer, stretching his gap to over one second in a stunning display. It was an unbelievable pace from Vietti, a rhythm which pushed the Italian to the limit as he made a mistake at Turn 1.
Vietti’s lead was now diminished, with Ramirez glued to his rear tyre as Ogura and Navarro began to duel. Navarro made the move stick on Lap 7, demoting Ogura to third as he aimed to claim his first podium since 2022. The #9’s charge did not stop there as he slid past Ramirez on Lap 9. Then, he soon set his sights on leader Vietti.
The battle for the final spot on the podium continued, with Ogura responding on Lap 10 and snatching third position. However, the #79 was stopped in his tracks on Lap 11 as a bike issue caused the World Champion to end his race early.
Once Dixon entered P3, the #96 began to extend his margin to half a second over Ramirez. Meanwhile, Navarro lost ground to Vietti at the front, as the #13 regained composure and extended his lead to one second.
Further back, Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) continued his recovery ride from P13 on the grid, carving his way to ninth. Canet soon found his way through on Manuel Gonzalez (Gresini Moto2™) as he took eighth and set his sights on Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in P7.
On the final lap, nobody could match Vietti’s relentless pace, allowing the Italian to clinch his third victory of the season after defeating Navarro. It was a stunning ride for the #9 to bag second place while Guevara took the final spot on the podium after Dixon briefly slowed down at the start of the final lap.
Dixon held onto fourth across the line, fending off Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) as the Italian rounded out the top five spots on Sunday. Meanwhile, Ramirez claimed sixth, unable to hold onto the top five in the closing laps. Öncü held onto P7 and in the end held onto a comfortable margin over Canet.
Somkiat Chantra (IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia) and Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Racing Team) rounded out the top 10 as Gonzalez dropped to P11. The Spaniard placed ahead of teammate Albert Arenas as Alonso Lopez (Sync SpeedUp), Sergio Garcia (MT Helmets – MSI) and Elf Marc VDS Racing Team’s Filip Salač secured the final points on race day.

David Alonso (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team) made history at the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia after racing to an unbelievable 13th victory of the season.
It was Alonso’s sixth consecutive win, but he was made to work hard by second place Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia) after the #72 missed out by a mere 0.088s at the line. Comeback King Furusato produced a fine ride to beat the hard-charging third place finisher Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), as the Spaniard stood on the box for the first time since Aragon.
Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets – MSI) claimed the holeshot on the run to Turn 1, snatching P1 after an incredible launch. The #48 was chased by David Almansa (Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team) on the opening lap, with the #22 charging from ninth to second.
P2 hunting Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) suffered some early drama as the #96 crashed, which also saw Alonso drop to outside the top 10. Meanwhile, Leopard Racing’s Adrian Fernandez and Angel Piqueras also had a disappointing end to their weekends as both retired due to mechanical issues.
Furusato had his opportunity in P1, with the recovering Alonso in pursuit. The gloves were off, with Alonso and Ortola pouncing on Furusato’s mistake at Turn 14. The #72 responded, finding a gap in the #48’s armour as he returned to second place.
Tension was high at the front, with Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) entering the podium fight as the Dutchman began to duel for P3. However, the #95 had Rueda on his tailpipes, with the #99 showing an incredible late-race pace to get into the podium frame.
On the final lap, Alonso was under pressure from Furusato, with the #80 aiming to create further history at Sepang. Alonso held onto P1, crossing the line to claim a stunning 13th victory of the season. The Colombian crossed the line ahead of Furusato as Rueda was able to fend off Ortola, increasing his margin to 0.996s at the chequered flag.
Ortola took fourth, finishing less than one second adrift from victory and crossing the line in front of Veijer. The Dutchman rounded out the top five and is now tied on points with Holgado for P3 in the Championship. Meanwhile, Joel Kelso (BOE Motorsports) was sixth, bagging solid points and placing ahead of Ryusei Yamanaka, who completed a strong day for the MT Helmets – MSI squad. Meanwhile, Stefano Nepa secured eighth.
Further back, Matteo Bertelle (Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team) and Luca Lunetta (SIC58 Squadra Corse) rounded out the 10 as Almansa finished in 11th. The #22 was 10 seconds adrift from P1, with Jacob Roulstone (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), Filippo Farioli (SIC58 Squadra Corse), Xabi Zurutuza (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Honda Team Asia’s Tatchakorn Buasri securing the final points.
Alonso continues to prove why he’s the 2024 World Champion. Now, there’s just one race to go. Make sure you keep up to date on motogp.com to get the latest news regarding the final round of the season, as we continue to send our love and support to Valencia. Triumph Motorcycles has announced significant updates to its Speed Twin 1200, as well as the launch of a new Speed Twin 1200 RS, which is more focused, more engaging and with even sharper responses.
It’s all on the line on Sunday as a seismic Tissot Sprint sees the Martinator rule as the reigning Champion slides out from second to fall 29 points behind.
The Tissot Sprint at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia was always going to be pivotal. How pivotal was to be decided over 10 laps of technical racetrack shared by 22 riders in the searing heat, two of whom are fighting it out to be crowned 2024 Champion. In the dance of risk and reward, points leader Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) took off at the front to lay down the gauntlet. And as he so rarely has when under pressure, reigning Champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) took just that tiny bit too much risk as he slid out from second. Now, it’s 29 points at the top… and it could all come down to Sunday.
Behind that drama, Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) came home second after keeping Martin honest following Bagnaia’s crash, with Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) completing the podium.
The tension rose even more following a brief spattering of raindrops, but as the grid roared off, the track was dry and Martin got the jump from second on the grid, nabbing the inside as Bagnaia hung it round the outside. But the #1 had to concede into Turn 2 and they shot off at the front together as the shuffle settled, with Marc Marquez for close company.
Just behind, Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) had dropped back from the front row and was squabbling with Franco Morbidelli (Prima Prama Racing) for fifth, with Bastianini having leapfrogged them into fourth. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) was soon up into that mix too, off the mark quick and with the speed to go with it.
Meanwhile at the front, the leading trio pounded on. Martin was setting some serious space, with the #1 and #93 in hot pursuit. And then it happened – the moment that may have decided the 2024 MotoGP™ World Championship. Or certainty one of them.
As Martin pushed on, Bagnaia had no choice but to push just as hard – with a 17-point deficit on the way into the Sprint. That then suddenly became a potential 29 as the reigning Champion slid out in one of the lowest speed, highest stakes crashes in recent memory. Rider ok, Bagnaia was forced to watch on as Martin kept Marquez at bay at the front, likely cheering for the #93 for the first time in his life.
Martin did keep him at bay, however, never letting the Gresini machine really home in over the seven laps between the him and that 29-point advantage. The #89 kept it calm to cross the line with just under a second in hand, setting up his first ever outright Championship point in MotoGP™. Marc Marquez took second, keeping some pressure on but not able to really cut that lead.
Bastianini’s quick start and good pace rewarded him with third after he proved able to pull away from Alex Marquez, with the #73 taking P4. Just behind him came Quartararo after a stunning Saturday afternoon for El Diablo, taking his and Yamaha’s best result of the season in a Sprint or GP, equalling the P5 from Jerez on Saturday.
Morbidelli was forced to settle for sixth, ahead of Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) at the head of a KTM/GASGAS showdown – with Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) just able to stay ahead of Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) this time round, returning the favour from Buriram. Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) missed out on the final Sprint point by just seven tenths.
Was that the moment that decided the crown? After racing for 678 points, every moment has its sway. But in the final stint they decide when and where that ultimate prize is on the line, and in 2024 that will now be Sunday at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia.
If Martin wins the Grand Prix, Bagnaia has to follow him home in second or it’s game over in the title fight and a new name will be etched onto the trophy. But Saturday already showed how quickly everything can change… so join us for match point on Sunday at 15:00 (UTC +8)!

A replacement rider pinching pole position doesn’t happen very often – but it has today!
A brilliant all-time lap record in Sepang from Jorge Navarro (OnlyFans American Racing Team) saw the Spaniard claim a Saturday afternoon P1, as OnlyFans American Racing Team celebrate a Q2 1-2 as Marcos Ramirez secured a P2 start. A late flying lap from Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo) saw the Italian grab a front row start for Sunday’s encounter.
Albert Arenas (Gresini Moto2™) was the rider to get demoted from P3 following Vietti’s late lap, so the Practice pacesetter will have to settle for a P4 starting slot. Rookie Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) are the other two riders who will set off from the second row.
World Champion Ai Ogura (MT Helmets – MSI) qualified seventh, while second in the Championship Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) will hope to clinch the 2024 silver medal from P13 on the grid. Luckily for the #44, his two main challengers – Alonso Lopez (Sync SpeedUp) and Sergio Garcia (MT Helmets – MSI) – failed to make it out of Q1 and will start from P20 and P19 respectively.
Who will prevail in the penultimate round of the season? Watch it all unfold at 13:15 (UTC +8)!

Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Racing) stole the Q2 show in Sepang after the Spaniard left it late to land a sensational all-time lap record – a 2:09.542 – and a debut Grand Prix pole.
That time saw pole position snatched from Ivan Ortola’s (MT Helmets – MSI) grasp as the #48 settles for P2, while World Champion David Alonso (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team) lines up on the outside of the front row in third.
Tatsuki Suzuki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) spearheads the second row of the grid, with the Japanese rider joined on Row 2 by Q1 graduate Joel Kelso (BOE Motorsports) and SIC58 Squadra Corse’s Luca Lunetta.
Angel Piqueras (Leopard Racing) will aim to wrap up the Rookie of the Year crown from P7 after the #36 crashed at Turn 1 in the closing stages of qualifying. Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) hunts a podium in his quest to beat Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) to P2 overall, as the latter launches from P11.
Next up: race time. Find out who wins the battle in Sepang at 12:00 (UTC+8)!

#TheRematch duo trade unreal all-time lap records with the reigning Champion winning Malaysia’s stunning qualifying battle.
The greatest Q2 ever? It has to be in the mix. #TheRematch was turned to up to full power on Saturday morning at Sepang as Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) treated us to a qualifying battle for the ages – and it was the reigning World Champion who came out on top.
Pecco’s phenomenal 1:56.337 in the closing stages saw the #1 beat Martin’s magnificent 1:56.553 to clinch a crucial PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia pole position, as the title-chasing duo get set to launch from P1 and P2 for the Tissot Sprint and Grand Prix race this weekend. Last year’s Sprint winner and Sunday podium finisher, Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™), joins Bagnaia and Martin on the front row for Chapter 19 of 2024.
Q1
The first reference lap time in Q1 came from Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), a 1:58.063, but that didn’t last long. Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) climbed to P1 thanks to a 1:57.974, with Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) moving ahead of Binder into P2. At the end of the first time attacks, 0.089s split Bezzecchi, Acosta and Binder, with Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) 0.133s off P1 in fourth.
On his next run on fresh rubber, Bezzecchi improved by a tenth and shadowing his teammate, Andrea Iannone briefly pounced to a very impressive P5. Binder then responded. The South African now led the session with a 1:57.800, which saw Acosta drop to P3. Could Acosta find a time to grab a Q2 spot? Yes he could. Acosta beat Bezzecchi’s time by 0.030s but attention turned to a flying Frenchman.
Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR), after starting his final five minutes needing to restart his bike at Turn 2, produced an absolute showstopper to end Q1 at the summit. Zarco clinched top spot by 0.165s as the #5 and Binder earned Q2 promotion, leaving Acosta and Bezzecchi P13 and P14 on the grid for the Tissot Sprint and race.
Q2
We didn’t need it, but that certainly whetted the appetite for the pivotal pole position shootout in Sepang. On the first outing, Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) tucked in behind Bagnaia, with both Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ riders – Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins – also in tow. Pecco’s lap was a 1:57.191, Marc Marquez set a 1:57.557 as not far behind, Martin hammered home a stunning 1:56.996. A belter.
And on the next lap, the goalposts were moved even further. Bagnaia improved but couldn’t dip into the 1:56s as Martin, astonishingly, set a 1:56.553 to go 0.527s clear of his title rival – outrageous pace from the Championship leader. Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) was P3 after the initial time attacks, 0.813s away from Martin, with Marc Marquez the only other rider to sit within a second of the #89.
But it wasn’t over just yet. Bagnaia’s first split on fresh tyres was 0.113s under Martin’s effort. Bagnaia was still in the red in Sector 2 – 0.045s ahead of Martin’s time. Then through Sector 3, it was up to 0.059s. This was sensational. Would the time hold through Sector 4? You bet it would. Bagnaia responded with an almighty bang as a 1:56.337 was thrown down and now the onus was back on Martin.
A Bastianini crash briefly brought out the yellow flags at the final corner but it wasn’t going to trouble Martin, who was charging. Martin was under a tenth away from Pecco’s time but as the Spaniard clicked through Sector 3, the challenge was over. Martin was 0.2s down, then lost the front coming into Turn 14, so that was all she wrote in a spellbinding qualifying battle between #TheRematch contenders.
THE GRID
While the focus was on the two Championship fighters, Alex Marquez’s 1:57.275 saw last year’s double Malaysian GP podium finisher collect a front row start. Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) spearheads the second row of the grid in P4, with fifth place Marc Marquez the final rider to qualify within a second of Bagnaia. Bastianini’s crash meant ‘The Beast’ was forced to settle for P6 – work to do for the Italian in his victory bid.
Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), Quartararo and Rins make up the third row of the grid, with Q2 graduates Binder and Zarco ending Q2 in P10 and P11 respectively, as Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) finished the 15-minute stint in P12.
An unbelievable session in this incredible Championship tale. Q2 delivered, and now we get set for the biggest Tissot Sprint of the season. 17 points spilt Martin and Bagnaia, but what will the figure be at around 15:30 later? We can’t wait to find out.

MotoGP™ stands with the Community of Valencia following the devastating floods that have affected the area.
Our hearts are with all those who have been lost and those who have lost so much.
We have been in constant contact with the local authorities and the circuit to best assess how we can help and how we should proceed. We have a responsibility to every region where we race that goes far beyond the sport and the events.
After carefully weighing up the potential positive impact of MotoGP™ racing in Valencia on delayed dates versus ensuring no single resource is diverted from the recovery efforts by the presence of MotoGP™, the championship and local authorities have been obliged to cancel the 2024 Valencia GP.
In lieu of racing in Valencia, MotoGP™ will instead race for Valencia. The championship will put our collective efforts behind backing the relief funds already in place to ensure our positive impact can connect with the area in the way it best serves the people and communities we have been part of for so long.
Our efforts will begin during the Malaysian GP and continue at the final round of 2024, with a new venue and dates to be announced as soon as confirmed.
Fans around the world, our athletes, and paddock deserve a sporting finale to the 2024 season, and one that can make a key contribution to supporting the communities we race in.

#TheRematch rivals went head-to-head for Practice honours with the #1 coming out on top – but only just.
0.050s splitting Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) after Day 1 of the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia? That’ll do nicely for us neutrals in the stands. #TheRematch rivals went head-to-head on Friday afternoon and it was the reigning World Champion who bagged the perfect day on paper, as the points leader suffered a small crash late in the day. Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) completed the top three as the Italian lapped just under two tenths slower than teammate Bagnaia. And remember, he said he wouldn’t help…
From early in the session, Martin sat at the summit as title rival Bagnaia was enduring a not-so-smooth sailing session in the afternoon heat. A change of gloves was needed heading into the final 20 minutes of Practice and with less than 15 minutes to go, Pecco was outside of the all-important – and more crucial than ever – top 10.
And it was with 14 minutes to go when we saw the time attacks come in. Takaaki Nakagami (IDEMITSU Honda LCR) was the first big mover, the Japanese rider climbed to P3 behind Martin and Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing). Then, the goalposts were moved by the #1. Bagnaia set a 1:58.280 to go 0.091s quicker than teammate Bastianini, with Alex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) now inside the top three too.
Bagnaia’s stint at the top didn’t last long though. Martin dipped into the 1:57s for the first time to sit nearly half a second clear of the pack with 10 minutes to go, as Bastianini improved to leapfrog Bagnaia into P2. On his next flying lap, Martin gained more time to set a 1:57.729 to put him 0.532s clear of Bastianini. Now, how could Pecco respond?
The answer was very well. Bagnaia nailed his final two sectors on a fresh medium rear Michelin tyre to beat Martin’s time by 0.050s, as Rins – shadowing the reigning Champion – jumped to P4 ahead of teammate Fabio Quartararo.
Then, a small dose of drama was served up. Martin was down at Turn 1 as he clicked back into time attack mode, at that was his session over. Day 1 belonged to Bagnaia in #TheRematch watch, but further down the timesheets, Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) needed a last-lap PB to hop into the top 10.
And the #93 produced the goods – but only just. Marquez went P8 but improvements from Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) and Quartararo shuffled the eight-time World Champion down to P10, and those late laps demoted Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) to P11.
So at the end of play, Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) led the charge behind the leading trio in P4, with Top Gun the only other rider to get within half a second of Bagnaia’s impressive effort. Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) was 0.6s away in P5, as less than a tenth split the #73 to his brother Marc Marquez in P10. Making up the filling in the Marquez sandwich were Quartararo, Morbidelli, Rins and Miller, as both Yamahas enjoy fruitful Fridays in Sepang – a rare double automatic Q2 entry.
On Saturday morning, Acosta, Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) are the standout names that will need to progress through Q1 in Malaysia, but all eyes will be on #TheRematch. Will Bagnaia be able to keep Martin behind him in qualifying and the Tissot Sprint, or will the early weekend momentum shift in the Spaniard’s favour? We all can’t wait to find out what unfolds.
Manuel Gonzalez (Gresini Moto2™) heads into Saturday’s Sepang Moto2™ running as the benchmark after the Spaniard slotted home a 2:05.576 to finish a healthy 0.333s clear of second place Filip Salač (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team).
0.035s further back in third was rookie Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) who set an impressive pace on his first outing in the class in Malaysia.
Free Practice pacesetter, Jake Dixon (CFMOTO RCB Aspar Team), ended Friday in P4 but the Briton’s day was hampered by a huge final corner highside in the afternoon session. Dixon didn’t sustain any serious injuries and will be back on track on Saturday, and having looked strong until the crash, the #96 will be hoping to bounce back ahead of qualifying.
Newly crowned World Champion, Ai Ogura (MT Helmets – MSI), rounded out Friday’s top five in Malaysia. The Japanese rider was just over half a second away from Gonzalez, with Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) searching for Saturday improvements after the Spaniard finished P11 on the weekend he could clinch P2 overall.
How will the grid take shape in Malaysia? The all-important Practice 2 begins at 09:25, before qualifying gets going at 13:45 at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit.

David Alonso (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team), once again, is the Moto3™ rider to beat so far in Sepang after the 2024 World Champion set a late PB time to top Practice 1.
The Colombian’s 2:11.241 was 0.216s quicker than second place Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Racing), with Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia) just under half a second adrift of Alonso in P3.
Ryusei Yamanaka (MT Helmets – MSI) made it two Japanese riders in the top four, with silver medal-chasing Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) completing the fastest five on Day 1. The Dutch star was 0.560s down on Alonso’s best lap.
The rider currently leading the P2 Championship finish place, Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), ended Friday in P7 behind sixth place Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo). Meanwhile, Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets – MSI) – another rider who is hunting second overall – has work to do on Saturday morning after a P16 finish in Practice 1.
Can anyone close the gap to Alonso in the final Practice session before qualifying begins in Malaysia? Tune in for P2 at 08:40 before qualifying starts at 12:50.

Three “New Old Stock” zero mile bikes in the Iconic Auctioneers Nec Classic Motor Show sale on 10th November in Birmingham.
Iconic Auctioneers have sourced three motorcycles that have zero miles on the clock for their forthcoming motorcycle auction at the NEC on the 10th November. Unused bikes are a rare and unusual item, but the question of course is: ‘What does one do with an unused bike?
Are these bikes bought as investments or as works of art… or both?
Would you ever dare riding a zero miles bike, what would that do to the value?
Do these bikes make good ornaments, seen as pieces of automotive sculpture and displayed in one’s living room or as a talking point in the entrance hall?
Or are they purely for collectors or bike enthusiasts?
Mark Bryan, who heads the Motorcycle Department at Iconic Auctioneers, says: “In my decades of involvement of the world of classic bikes, the answer to all the questions above, is yes.
People buy bikes for a myriad of reasons, mostly to ride them, then sometimes it’s for an investment, or sometimes it’s for nostalgia and very occasionally its simply to look at them!”
The unregistered and unused 2008 Ducati Desmosedici RR pictured above offers a rare opportunity to own one of these legendary bikes. Described by Ducati as ‘The World’s first MotoGP Replica’ when launched in 2008, it has a 90° V4 Desmodromic 1,000cc engine producing 200bhp, 171kg and limited to only 1,500 examples worldwide. Based on the Ducati Team GP6 and capable of 185mph.
This ‘Team’ version is #1,474 of the 1,500 built and has been stored in a dehumidified cocoon for the last eight years. It comes to the sale complete with all the service and handbooks, sales brochure, unused race exhaust, toolkit, battery charger, bike cover and front and rear paddock stands and even the unused MotoGP stickers that are still in their envelope!
It is a highly collectible motorcycle and one of only a handful of new/old stock examples available worldwide. It is not UK-registered and would obviously require recommissioning if it is going to be started or used. We wonder what the new owner will do with it!
The 2020 Yamaha YZF-R1 Petronas 998cc (above), is number 13 of the 46 track bikes produced. They were produced in 2020 to celebrate the 46 year partnership with Petronas and Yamaha and this bike has been on display from new and shows zero miles.
Based upon the 2020 factory MotoGP Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team YZR-M1 ridden by Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli. The bikes were built in conjunction between Yamaha Europe and Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART). Only 46 bikes were built worldwide with just four bound for the UK.
The Yamaha R1 MotoGP replica features a very high specification including Ohlins FGRT 219 front forks and Ohlins TTX rear shock. Other factory highlights include full carbon fairing kit with MotoGP winglets, Akrapovic exhaust, Marchesini forged wheels, factory wiring harness, Brembo brake calipers, racing footrests with quick shift system and Michelin racing slicks
Finished in the Limited-Edition Petronas Yamaha SRT livery painted by the official Moto GP painter, Alex Design. This example is presented in ‘as new’ condition having been displayed in a Yamaha dealership from new. Showing zero miles and complete with all the accessories supplied from new including; certificate, tools, polo shirt, spares etc. it also comes with its own branded flight case as pictured below.
A future classic and great addition to any serious modern superbike Collection is this unused example of the limited edition MV Agusta F3 Ago. Limited to only 300 examples, this is #138 and has never been used. Unregistered and showing only five ‘push’ miles it is in running order with new battery fitted. It comes to auction with all the original paperwork and certificates, a special bike cover, an unopened Agostini book, as well as tools, owner’s manual and keys.
The 798cc F3 ‘Ago’ was a tribute to former MV multiple World Champion, Giacomo Agostini. Weighing only 171kg, they were all finished in ‘Tricolore’ colours with an autographed tank and a numbered plaque on the triple plaque as well as a signed Certificate of Authenticity, which is included in the bikes accompanying history file.
All three bikes offer a rare opportunity to own a piece of automotive gold dust history. All in original condition they will come to auction at The Iconic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show on Sunday 10th November. More details of the motorcycles and the other 150 bikes in the sale can be viewed at www.iconicauctioneers.com or by contacting the Iconic Auctioneers team on +44 (0) 1926 691 141 or enquiries@iconicauctioneers.com. The F3 Competizione is born from MV Agusta’s desire to redefine the standard of the Supersport segment.
Based on the technical and stylistic foundations of the already extraordinary F3 RR, an absolute reference in terms of dynamic performance on both road and track, MV Agusta presents the most exclusive and adrenaline-fueled of mid-sized motorcycles. Extreme attention to detail, combined with components and materials aimed at pure performance, come together in the F3 Competizione, delivering an unparalleled synthesis of form and function. Its sculptural beauty, typical of every MV Agusta, creates a truly unique motorcycle. Like every MV Agusta, the F3 Competizione will be entirely handcrafted in the Varese factory, piece by piece, with only 300 numbered units produced over the course of 2025. This new model pays tribute to the concept of competition, finding its charm in the combination of lightness, power, and elegance. The F3 Competizione can be described as the most elite Supersport, a celebration of sportiness, aesthetic refinement, and technical excellence.
CHASSIS
What sets the F3 Competizione apart from the already excellent RR version is primarily the chassis, which has been made even more effective and refined thanks to collaboration with Öhlins. The fork is the renowned NIX30 upside-down model with 43mm TiN-coated stanchions, providing significant contribution to handling dynamics thanks to its efficiency and wide range of adjustments. The fork is fully adjustable in all hydraulic (compression and rebound) and mechanical (spring preload) settings, with both adjusters located at the top of the fork (the left leg works in compression, the right in rebound), allowing the rider to fine-tune the setup for both road and track riding. Equally impressive is the Öhlins TTX 36 shock absorber, featuring dual-tube technology and an external piggyback reservoir. It too is fully adjustable (compression and rebound) via easy-to-use external adjusters. This component is crucial for enhancing the rear suspension’s performance, which operates on the aluminium single-sided swingarm. Completing the prestigious Öhlins package is the 19-position adjustable steering damper, ensuring absolute stability on both the road and the racetrack. The Öhlins suspension package reduces weight by 1 kg compared to the standard F3 RR suspension. At the core of the design is the steel tubular trellis frame, integrated with aluminium side plates. An additional dynamic and aesthetic upgrade is provided by the carbon wheels, specifically developed for the F3 Competizione, which reduce unsprung mass and weight by 3 kg compared to the aluminium wheels of the F3 RR. These changes profoundly affect the bike’s handling and agility in quick direction changes, while also adding a touch of aesthetic prestige with their matte-finished exposed carbon, transforming them into functional works of art. The Brembo braking system includes 320 mm diameter front discs with floating calipers paired with Brembo Stylema monobloc radial-mount calipers. The rear brake features a 220 mm diameter disc. To further improve the already excellent power-to-weight ratio, MV Agusta’s R&D department has left no stone unturned: for example, the standard battery has been replaced with a lithium-ion version, saving an additional 3 kg in weight.
ENGINE
The F3 Competizione reaches a power output of 160 hp at 13,500 rpm, thanks to a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system specifically developed for this model. The use of titanium and carbon for the protective cover allows for a further 3 kg weight reduction. At the heart of the F3 Competizione is MV Agusta’s iconic 798 cc 3-cylinder engine, equipped with titanium valves — 31.8 mm intake, 26.7 mm exhaust — allowing for high-revving performance, with the limiter set at 13,500 rpm. The overall weight reduction is 14 kg compared to the RR version, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 0.9 hp/kg. The engine meets Eur5+ homologation standards, and the motorcycle comes in standard configuration with a road-legal exhaust. The new 9-disk MV Agusta assist and slipper clutch offers better performance both on track and on the road, and it reduces the effort needed for the rider to pull the lever by 50%. This, combined with the MV Agusta Electronically Assisted Shift, for both upshifts and downshifts, translates in an even smoother and precise riding experience.
AERODYNAMICS
The F3 Competizione incorporates the advanced aerodynamic setup of the F3 RR, featuring specific elements aimed at delivering unmatched performance in its class. The aerodynamics, perfectly integrated into the fairing, are made of forged carbon and can generate 8 kg of downforce at the front at 240 km/h. The aerodynamic package includes a smoked racing windscreen, carbon fibre fairing sides, and a front fender designed to optimize airflow for both brake cooling and engine temperature control. The goal is to maintain the excellent drag coefficient (Cx) of the F3 while counterbalancing the added drag from the aerodynamic features. All aerodynamic components are made of carbon fibre with the artisanal craftsmanship that has always distinguished MV Agusta.
ELECTRONICS
The F3 Competizione is equipped with a new ECU paired with a 6-axis IMU, four Riding Modes (Rain, Sport, Race, and Custom), managing numerous controls based on multiple parameters related to spatial position and engine operation, while traction control has 8 levels: 2 for Rain, 3 for Road, and 3 for Track. The ride-by-wire throttle features a negative stroke for easier and more precise control, eliminating the on-off effect and allowing for the smooth disengagement of the standard Cruise Control. The dashboard is a 5.5” full-color TFT display, ideal for interacting with the MV Ride app, which allows riders to record and share their routes, customize the bike’s setup from their smartphone, and activate turn-by-turn navigation. The electronic package is completed by ABS with two operating modes (Sport and Race), featuring a cornering function for enhanced safety even when leaning. In Sport mode, ABS is active on both the front and rear wheels, with the cornering and Rear Wheel Lift-Up Mitigation (RLM) functions enabled. In Race mode, ABS is active only on the front, cornering is disabled, and the RLM function is adjusted to be less intrusive. ABS can only be fully disabled when the bike is equipped with the dedicated Akrapovic exhaust mapping and is used solely on the track. The F3 Competizione is also equipped with Launch Control, which, when paired with the Front Lift Control (FLC) system, enables 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in under 3 seconds. The FLC system manages the front wheel height during wheelies to provide maximum acceleration with maximum safety and precision.
DESIGN
As with every MV Agusta, the attention to design and detail is paramount. The MV Agusta Centro Stile drew clear inspiration from the F4 Claudio for the F3 Competizione, choosing colors like Satin Metallic Carbon Black, Satin Intense Silver, and Gold, and making extensive use of exposed carbon fibre. The saddle is upholstered in Alcantara, offering both refinement and ideal grip and ergonomics during riding. A standout aesthetic feature is the gold finish on certain components, particularly the front brake disc flanges and the rear sprocket. A further touch of exclusivity is the numbered plaque (XXX/300) placed on the new CNC-machined steering yoke. The 300 units of the F3 Competizione are destined for a discerning clientele of sophisticated motorcyclists, aesthetes, and connoisseurs of technology and technique, capable of appreciating the stylistic refinement that characterizes every MV Agusta.
DEDICATED KIT
The racing kit, indispensable for a limited edition MV Agusta like the F3 Competizione, is as rich as it is ideal for track use:
Full Akrapovic titanium exhaust system (not homologated);
Carbon fibre cover for the exhaust terminal;
CNC-machined fuel cap;
Lightweight fibreglass seat cover;
Dedicated bike cover;
Certificate of authenticity for each of the 300 units.

More aggressive, bolder, and built to punish all before it.
The 2025 KTM 990 DUKE R sets the new standard in the middleweight Naked bike segment, building upon the existing KTM 990 DUKE platform with added flare. Put simply, its sportier stance and READY TO RACE purpose places it way ahead of the chasing pack. THE PUNISHER is here as the most brutal of all.
KTM celebrated 30 YEARS OF DUKE in 2024 and the latest R model in the line-up arrives with maximum fight at its core. Situated at the pinnacle of its class, increased power, and a more focused intent make the KTM 990 DUKE R the most aggressive middleweight, that guarantees riders the edge on both road and track.
Its white colour trim and graphic, complete with matt black and white accents and an electronic orange gloss powder coated frame, draws inspiration from various heritage models in the previous KTM 990 SUPER DUKE R range – in particular, the second-generation model produced between 2011 and 2013. The ‘R’ on the tank immediately signals its next-level DUKE DNA without compromise.
The premium new generation tech features offer unprecedented electronic functionality. The new 8.88-inch landscape-mounted touchscreen TFT dashboard includes inductive technology and a split-screen mode, enhancing readability and optimising information display. For more in-depth information on the all-new TFT dash, click HERE.
KTM 990 DUKE R riders also benefit from a fresh new switch cube layout, connectivity unit, map navigation system and customisable ride modes, along with the introduction of SPORT ABS and SUPERMOTO+ ABS, for riders who demand limits to be smashed.
In comparison to the KTM 990 DUKE introduced last year, the R version’s 947 cc engine now boasts an additional 7 PS – up from 123 PS to 130 PS – while maintaining 103 Nm of torque and with a 10,500 RPM limit. Its elevated power output is courtesy of improved mapping that truly unleashes the fire-breathing might of the LC8c motor.
Weight has remained the same for a total READY TO RACE weight of 190 kg, complementing the updated ergonomics that result in a slightly higher centre of gravity. Both the seat height and ground clearance are 15 mm higher, which is a result of longer suspension travel and a steeper swingarm angle that allows around three degrees more lean angle when on the attack. The frame and swingarm have also been updated due to the suspension linkage construction at the rear, allowing the rider more mechanical grip for harder riding.
Fully adjustable WP APEX Suspension components are equipped front and rear, boasting the new Open Cartridge fork with 143 mm of travel. With a diameter of 48 mm – increased from 43 mm on the KTM 990 DUKE – it is 34 per cent stiffer, with upgraded settings developed to offer a sportier feel. The bike becomes more planted with better control, without sacrificing agility.
Additionally, the new WP APEX rear shock incorporates upgrades in line with the linkage system, with travel reduced to 140 mm – a ten mm reduction to compensate for the introduction of the linkage. It too has been developed for maximum performance, fitted with a new linear spring keeping things in check for all day attacks on the street or track.
High-performance braking systems, including Brembo Stylema monoblock calipers and a Brembo MCS master cylinder, are utilised at both ends. They feature 320 mm discs (compared to 300 mm on the KTM 990 DUKE), lighter components, and a more precise feel under braking, ensuring dominant performance in all circumstances.
The 2025 KTM 990 DUKE R features Michelin Power Cup 2 tyres that wrap around adapted orange rims carried over from the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R model. Its refined technical enhancements make it a formidable mid-capacity naked bike, ready to take on any road or track with a pure READY TO RACE attitude. THE PUNISHER is taking no prisoners in the mid-range battlefield!
A full range of KTM PowerParts and KTM PowerWear has also been developed specifically to suit the KTM Street range, further maximising the potential for riders to customise their bikes.
The new 2025 KTM 990 DUKE R will be rolling off the Austrian production line in December and will be available in authorised KTM dealers countrywide from January 2025. UK pricing to be
confirmed.
The TMAX is one of the most significant and important models ever introduced by Yamaha since the company was founded nearly 70 years ago.
Debuted in 2001, the TMAX astounded the marketplace with its innovative design and premium specification that combined key technologies from the motorcycle and scooter worlds to create a completely new kind of powered two wheeler.
An icon was born, and this legendary machine has continued to lead the way for over 20 years. By opening up a whole new concept, the original TMAX not only created the Sport Scooter category at the beginning of the millennium, but it has also inspired the development of Yamaha’s leading MAX scooters that offer anyone the opportunity to join the MAX family. Ducati continues to believe in and invest in the 90° V-twin, the engine that has characterised some of the most iconic bikes from the Bologna-based manufacturer, and which has achieved more than 400 victories and 1000 podiums in the championships reserved for production-derived bikes.
The new V2 engine is the lightest twin-cylinder produced by Ducati, and renews the tradition that began with the Pantah and continued with the Desmodue, Desmoquattro, Testastretta and Superquadro. A V2 designed to offer maximum riding enjoyment, thanks to a torque-rich power delivery at all revs and sportbike engine performance at high revs.
With this new engine, Ducati confirms its commitment to development, which has taken shape with the introduction of four completely new engines in just seven years, from the Desmosedici Stradale to the Superquadro Mono, from the V4 Granturismo to this new V2. Engines defined by choosing the most suitable technical solutions depending on the intended use.
This new twin-cylinder is homologated according to the Euro5+ standard, has a displacement of 890 cc, is equipped with the IVT (Intake Variable Timing) variable valve timing system, aluminium liners, and weighs just 54.4 kg, setting new benchmarks for lightness in the Ducati range (-9.4 kg compared to the Superquadro 955, -5.9 kg compared to the Testastretta Evoluzione, -5.8 kg compared to the Scrambler Desmodue). The spring valve timing system, introduced with the V4 Granturismo, and confirmed on the new V2, allowed the definition of an engine that puts the emphasis on regularity at low revs and economy of maintenance. The valve clearance is checked every 30,000 km, confirming reference intervals for the category.Modern and efficient architecture to guarantee performance and lightness
The 90° V2 layout defines a slim engine, with great personality in its tone and power delivery, deeply linked to the Ducati tradition. Furthermore, the 90° V designed by the cylinders determines a natural balancing of the first order forces, without the need to resort to a countershaft to eliminate vibrations.
All for the greatest possible riding pleasure. Finally, the cylinders are rotated backwards, with an angle of 20° between the horizontal cylinder and the relative plane, to optimise weight distribution.
The typical versatility of Ducati twin-cylinders is one of the qualities of the new V2, which adapts perfectly to various motorcycles in the range due to its compactness and the performance it is able to offer. This is also thanks to the decision to define two different configurations, characterised by different power values (120 or 115 hp at 10,750 rpm) and corresponding deliveries. The bore and stroke measurements are 96 x 61.5 mm, which determines a bore/stroke ratio of 1.56. They represent an intermediate choice compared to the Testastretta and Superquadro engines, and allow the engine to deliver higher maximum power values than the former, with a torque curve that is more favourable for road use than the latter. The maximum torque value is 93.3 Nm, or 92.1 Nm at 8,250 rpm. The limiter, in fifth and sixth gear, is set at 11,350 rpm.
On the sportier 120 hp version, by adopting the racing exhaust for track use, maximum power increases to 126 hp (+6 hp) at 10,000 rpm and torque to 98 Nm (+5 Nm) at 8,250 rpm, with a weight saving of 4.5 kg.
The 115 hp version is equipped with a more powerful alternator, to properly manage even the heaviest electrical loads. The connecting rod and flywheel are reinforced to tackle even the most challenging adventures and offer a smoother response in relaxed riding. The resulting increase in the moment of inertia, equal to 12%, in fact determines a greater smoothness of operation at low revs in the face of an increase in engine mass equal to 0.51 kg. The gear ratio, on this version, is characterised by a shorter ratio for the first and second gears to improve starting on steep slopes, especially in full load conditions.
Variable timing control
Thanks to the IVT (Intake Variable Timing) system, the new Ducati twin-cylinder guarantees a very linear torque delivery even at low revs, with a prompt and enjoyable throttle response, and sportbike engine performance at high revs. This is because the IVT system continuously varies the timing of the intake valve control over a 52° arc thanks to the adoption of a phase variator applied to the end of the camshaft. In this way it is possible to define the best overlap based on engine rotation speed and throttle opening, obtaining a smooth and sustained power delivery curve even at low and medium revs, combined with brilliant performance at high revs. More than 70% of the maximum torque is in fact already available at 3,000 rpm, and between 3,500 and 11,000 rpm the torque value never drops below 80%.
To optimise engine performance, the intake valve opening finger rockers have DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) treatment, as on the Desmosedici MotoGP. The distribution control is by chain, while the valve recall occurs via a spring control. The intake valve stems are hollow, for greater efficiency of the distribution system thanks to a 5% weight saving. The valves are chrome-plated.
Power feed is entrusted to a 52 mm diameter circular throttle body, with a sub-throttle injector controlled by a ride-by-wire system capable of offering four different Power Modes to adapt the delivery to different riding situations and the intended use of the engine. The system is able to vary the torque saturation gear by gear thanks to dedicated maps, thus offering the most suitable throttle response for each gear.
The knock sensor, present in both versions, allows the engine to operate without compromising reliability if high-octane fuel is not available. In this way, it is possible to travel with peace of mind even in countries where it might be more difficult to find high-quality petrol.
The new V2 is equipped with an intake bypass circuit. A duct connects the airbox and the intake ducts of the two cylinders near the intake valve, improving the air/fuel mix for greater fuel efficiency. In this way, the engine is more efficient in combustion, reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions, and increasing the regularity of power delivery.
The engine crankcases, obtained by die casting, are shaped in such a way as to incorporate the water chamber around the cylinder liners. Like the Superquadro engine, the new V2 is equipped with aluminium liners, inserted into the housing holes of the crankcase during the initial assembly phases. This design allows the head to be fixed directly on the crankcase, combining the need for rigidity of the engine structure with a significant advantage in terms of its dimensional compactness. The liners, with their thin walls, also make effective heat exchange possible with the coolant flowing along the walls.
The new V2 allows the definition of more compact motorcycles thanks to particularly small dimensions due to the water pump positioned on the head of the front cylinder. This solution minimises the exposed rubber tubing of the cooling circuit, improving the appearance of bikes where the engine is left exposed.
For the same reasons, the new twin-cylinder is equipped with a water/oil heat exchanger positioned inside the V of the cylinders, which allows for the elimination of the oil cooler. This technical solution reduces size and weight, and improves the aesthetic impact of the engine.
As on the new Panigale V4, the gearbox is equipped with Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0. The second-generation DQS uses a strategy based solely on the gear sensor, thus allowing for the use of a pedal command without microswitches. This solution offers the rider a more direct feeling, with a reduced travel and without that “rubbery” sensation typical of traditional quickshifters, making it easier to find neutral. The 8-disc slipper clutch, derived from the most recent version used by the Testastretta 11°, mitigates the retrograde torque with the throttle closed and when downshifting, improving the stability of the bike during more decisive braking phases.
The new V2 will also be available in a reduced-power version on bikes intended for A2 license holders.
